Update
Horses
I resisted granting the Reaver Steeds Devastating Flanker for a long time, despite how powerfully thematic it was for them, because it is so rarely given out to vanilla units. However, the Ellyrian Princess and Harbinger remained relatively underpowered characters, largely due to a lack of access to superior mounts. Attaching Devastating Flanker to the mount, rather than the character, is a way to help encourage the use of Ellyrion's iconic horses.
  • The Reaver Steed mount (Harbinger and Ellyrian Princess) now have Devastating Flanker.
  • Slightly reduced Charge on these mounts to compensate
  • The Purebred Ellyrian Steed (Ellyrian Princess), as the best horse of the best horse kingdom of the best horse culture, ridden by its best horsewomen, now has Glorious Charge
Fixes
  • Imrik again has access to Ellyrian Reaver Knights
  • Fixed a recent vanilla bug that gave premature access to some High Elf RoRs

The Phoenix Court Update
- Improved integration with Phoenix Court mechanics (for example, Harbingers included along with other hero types)
- Aelin Redmane's items now form a set with a small bonus

Bugfix
- Aelin Redmane should no longer be stealing everyone's load screen under certain conditions.

Feature Update
Aelin Redmane (Legendary Lord)
Reexamined and adjusted some of the faction leader's mechanics.
  • Aelin Redmane's unit card bullet points now more accurately reflect her role, and she has gained a unique unit description in Custom Battle
  • Aelin Redmane can now equip her unique weapon and accessory in Custom Battle
  • Ellyrian Princesses and Aelin Redmane now have the "Fleeting Shadow" generic campaign skill (+Ambush/+Ambush Resist) instead of the Wary generic campaign skill (+Ambush Resist/-Enemy Hero Success) to better represent their irregular warfare style
  • Aelin Redmane now has the "Infamous Raider" (+income from raiding/looting/sacking) generic campaign skill instead of the "Iron Disciplinarian" generic campaign skill (+Control) to further improve her characterization
  • Slightly increased Aelin's upkeep cost on all mounts

Character Traits
  • Harbingers and Ellyrian Princesses now have their own, brand new random Traits, mixed with existing vanilla traits. These are balanced and thematic to Ellyrian culture.

Nightelm Units
Adjusted campaign mechanics and icons. Clarified that Nightelm Wood is a modest perk, arguably underpowered...
  • Changed description of the "Nightelm Wood!" debuff effect to clarify that magical weapon attacks are not fully disabled by this effect; only the "Magical" effect is stripped away. I had used the exact wording the vanilla game uses, but this led to confusion and players worrying it was overpowered. It's actually a pretty mild effect.
  • Improved Nightelm Bow, Spear, and Lance passive ability icons
  • Max level Barracks buildings (when constructed by Ellyrion) now offer 2 Nightelm unit cap instead of 1. Realistically, I felt players do not tend to build very many Barracks buildings, making the existing unit cap bonus unduly stingy.
  • The Tor Elyr Redmanes RoR now unlocks for Ellyrion at level 6; other factions still unlock it at level 11. It's a pretty low-tier RoR and this fits with the new design philosophy factions like Archaon have, of unlocking signature RoRs early.

Diplomacy
  • Removed Ellyrion's starting Defensive Alliance with Avelorn. Now that Ellyrion's starting reliability is fixed, the need for this compensatory diplomacy is gone

Help Screens
  • Added loading screens for Aelin Redmane, Ellyrian Reaver Knights, and Ellyrian Silver Helms to the pool, to randomly let you see info about them
  • Gave Ellyrion the standard factional help screen on the Pause menu in campaign mode; may customize it later to explain some Ellyrion features

Other
  • Corrected Harbinger upkeep
  • Many small changes were made for consistency, balance, or aesthetics.

Bugfix
- 4.1 changes to the Advisor to the King follower caused Aelin to keep that follower all to herself. Other Lords can now appropriately equip him (even if Aelin deserves him more).

Harbinger Update
All four Harbinger specialization options have been reexamined and improved. They all remain unstackable for balance purposes.
-Wilderness Veterans now apply their buff to Rangers as well as Reavers
-Mountain Veterans (flying specialists) now gain the On the Hunt passive for themselves and Eagles units, instead of the old Terror and Vanguard bonuses
-Borderlands Veterans gain improved Agent Success Chance to differentiate and balance them on the basis of their sneakiness
-Unicorn Gate Veterans replace Hawkish Precision (nearly useless for Reavers due to low AP damage) with a new Hawkish Reflexes ability

Many small changes were made for consistency, balance, or aesthetics.
-The Nightelm recruit rank bonus was moved to be on Aelin's nightelm bow, for logical consistency
-Tiny nerf to the Tier 2 Ellyrian stables building
-Ellyrion's unique starting Harbinger gained +5% Speed to help differentiate her more noticeably
-Removed a few unnecessary Skill Tree preview images of various units
-Consistency pass on skill text
