4/13/25 version 2.1:

-added ASCII symbols for the candymaking workshop so that it is no longer an invisible building in that mode

-dropped the word "real" from the reaction for producing chocolate from cacao

-added STATE_COLOR(s) to each of the confection materials, to increase the likelihood of them appearing more correctly during ascii play, although this change should also benefit the premium mode insofar as these materials happen to appear on any palettized / generated game objects for whatever reason

Special thanks to Zombie Giant Sponge for pointing out the ascii-specific issues in the mod, and for being the mod's main audience in general.

11/15/24 Version 2.0:

Advanced Agriculture is now a mod dependency. Candymakers now utilizes AA's infrastructure in order to create a more systemic candymaking experience:

-All confection recipes can now use any type of sugar and syrup, instead of specifically sweet pod products.
-Caramel can now use any type of milk, including AA plant milks, instead of just creature milks.
-Milk is no longer required for chocolate (Although the chocolate recipe might change later to require cocoa butter, depending on whether or not AA expands upon the processing of cacao products.)
-Added new recipe for making chocolate that lets you use real cacao instead of cave cocoa. Follow the AA crafting pipeline to obtain real cocoa powder!
-Removed the Granularize Syrup job, you can now use any of the equivalent AA jobs instead which are far more diverse.
-Made various other tweaks to help modernize the mod according to all of the experience I have gained since originally publishing it.

3/9/24 version 1.2 adds a new type of kitchen job called "granularize syrup" that lets you convert dwarven syrup into dwarven sugar. this version also fixes a minor bug in the mod where cave cocoa seeds were not technically categorized as such, resulting in entries in the error log

3/4/24 version 1.1 of Candymakers adds a new type of Construct creature to the game called a Candy Man, these are similar to vanilla's amethyst/gabbro men except their flesh is made of edible candy material. You can find them in most good-aligned surface biomes, and when they die they leave behind a pile of sugar.
