  • No longer changes sv_sticktoground to 0. Fixes sliding up stairs/ramps. If you've used this addon before this update, please enter sv_sticktoground 1 in the console if you still notice that bug.
  • Reduced walking-jump side deadzone so you're more likely to jump forward when you mean it.
  • A walking jump now slightly propels you in the direction you're looking in like HL2.
  • Added addon compatibility option that allows addons to work but has slightly less accurate HL2 movement, especially when landing.

v1.3 - Slightly major feature release

  • Improved jump math. Fixes strafe jumps not being perfectly straight.
  • Fixed spamming jump in the water turning players into living airboats.
  • Fixed crouchwalk jumps giving players the stronger normal walking-jump speed boost.
  • Made unduck speed slightly faster to better match HL2.
  • A walking jump boost only gets boosted as long as the player is not consistently midair to better resemble HL2.
  • Fixed walking jump boost still applying if the player jumps to the side. In HL2 it only applies if moving directly forward or backward.
  • Now enforces default StepSize for sanity reasons.
  • Removed option to forcibly cap player speeds now that it's no longer as easy to bhop and build speed.
  • Lua file optimizations for marginally better client/server perf.

  • Added a HL2-style speed cap for jumping. Enabled by default for a "New Engine" feel.
  • Added sv_sticktoground as a server CVar that gets changed for CFG: Change server CVars/ur_hl2ifier_cvar_mov

v1.1.3 - Hotfix

  • Fixed movement & physics still being applied when the player is in a vehicle. Caused odd behavior like sitting down and getting up off chairs being played in slow motion. Also fixes Sandbox's Entity Drive not working.

v1.1.2 - Hotfix

  • Half-Life 2 player speeds & physics CVar (ur_hl2ifier) now instantly apply without having to respawn when switched on. However, when disabling the CVar, HL2 properties will still persist until the player respawns.
  • Fixed Half-Life 2 player speeds & physics not properly applying after level change.
  • ur_hl2ifier now also enforces a default LadderClimbSpeed for sanity reasons (you should notice no functional difference being on ladders unless GMod ever changes the default ladder speed, in which case, this mod is future-proof in that regard).
1 minor feature release and 2 hotfixes in a single day!? That's what I get for trying to work on an update for this in the span of 4 hours after an all-nighter. :steamsad:

v1.1 - Minor feature release

  • Merged jumping physics and speed into one CVar.
  • Fixed incorrect jump height.
  • Fixed jump horizontal velocities being inaccurate.
  • Fixed friction physics after jumping.
  • Fixed velocity sometimes misbehaving and sending you the opposite direction when jumping.
