Update: 29 Oct, 2016 @ 4:33pm

- Fixed an issue causing Titanoboa to require a saddle to be ridden (despite there not being one).
- Titanoboas are now considered amphibious, and will therefore no longer consume stamina while swimming (and can regen it in water).
- Updated Titanoboas swimming animations.

Update: 24 Oct, 2016 @ 1:18pm

Reversed Kaprosucus being able to carry Pelagornis, as they too will apparently fall through the ground when dropped.

Update: 24 Oct, 2016 @ 12:48pm

- Bug repellant should now work properly. Additionally, it now also protects against Titanoboa. Bringing these on swamp expeditions is recommended!
- Broth of Enlightenment now also restores 100 food over 6 seconds.
- Arthropleura and Dung Beetles now have genders! However, they can’t actually breed yet like scorpions.
- Fixed an issue making Dung Beetles untamable with poop.
- Baby dino food consumption multiplier: 25.5 > 10
- Passive tame food consumption multiplier: 2 > 1
- All passively tamed dinos have had their feeding interval reduced to three seconds. This, combined with the two above changes should allow for passively taming of babies without them starving to death.
- Thanks to this, all passively tamed dinos (except for spiders) now have a 30% chance to spawn in the wild as babies!

Kaprosuchus

- Can now carry: Beelzebufo, Pelagornis, Pteranodon
- Can no longer carry: Manta, Ichthyornis

Pachy

- Health: 220 > 290
- Can no longer be carried due to the same bug in the devkit affecting the Gigantopithecus that causes it to fall through the world when dropped.

Pteranodon

- Stamina: 100 > 115
- Roll Stamina Cost: 25 > 20

Rhino

- Max charge damage multiplier: 12.5 > 10 (making its max damage the same as in the base game).

Titanoboa

- Can now be passively tamed starting at level 35 and ridden without a saddle!
- Now have genders, with females not having a frill! However, they can’t actually breed yet like scorpions, arthros and dung beetles.
- Stamina: 150 > 90
- Weight: 150 > 180
- Base Damage: 30 > 37
- Sprint Speed: 378 > 495
- Base Swim Speed: 400 > 450
- Can now sprint swim! Speed: 990
- Can no longer move while attacking.

Lot’s of fixes and smaller balance changes, as well as some preparations for the food/taming pass I’m working on.

Also, since Titanoboas will become tamable soon, I decided to get one step ahead of Wildcard and make them tamable myself! Keep in mind though, them being a passive tame is tentative to change, depending on what Wildcard decides to do with them once the Halloween update hits.

My plan for them is to basically make them an amphibious torpor inflictor, as there’s currently no other dino filling that role. Numbers are as always subjective to change, so feedback on this new Titanoboa is appreciated!

Update: 4 Oct, 2016 @ 4:03pm

- Megaloceros bleed no longer only applies to players.
- Megaloceros bleed now also reduces movement speed by 20% and drains 30% (1% per second) of targets stamina.

A small follow up patch!

Something I noticed just after uploading the last update was that the megaloceros bleed was only doing damage (not slowing and draining stamina like the dossier states), and was only being applied to players.

I’ve always been suspicious of something along those lines, but never remembered to check properly. However, now that I did I just felt it needed a change.

Update: 4 Oct, 2016 @ 2:15pm

- Allosaurus, Araneo, Dilo and Plant Species X slows no longer prevent sprinting.
- Allosaurus slow percentage: 50% > 30%

- Araneo torpor inflicted: 4.5x damage > 1.5x damage
- Araneo Web stamina consumption: 10 > 15

- Pachy Stamina: 80 > 150
- Pachy main attack torpor inflicted: 1.5x damage > 2x damage
- Pachy charge torpor inflicted: 3.5x damage > 6x damage
- Pachy no longer slows down by a lot while turning during a sprint.

Update: 1 Oct, 2016 @ 7:24am

- Stegos no longer use Rotation Acceleration, improving their turning radius by a lot.

- Fixed an issue from the base game causing stegos to sometimes not deal damage when attacking.

- Allosaurus, Pelagornis and Tapejara saddles base armor: 25 > 10

- Allosaurus, Archeopteryx, Pelagornis and Tapejara now all have a 30% chance to spawn in the wild as babies!

Before tackling Scorched Earth, I wanted to cover the new base-game dinos first. I also wanted to release a backlog change of mine: Allowing several dinos to attack while moving (and throw in a speed buff to the parasaur while I was at it).

Not a lot to talk about really though. The new dinos mainly just go changes to get in line with the rest of the mod and other dinos of their respective classes. I'm planning on potentially messing around with the Allo alpha buff and Archeopteryx way of mountin in the future, but for now I just wanted to release the things I had already planned.

Update: 15 Sep, 2016 @ 9:12am

- Cleaned up some files that weren't being used. Nothing that should affect gameplay.

Changed around what size several dinos are in terms of DinoSettings. Currently, this only affects how much damage they take from spike walls (Tiny=0.5x, Small=1x, Medium=2x, Large=3x, Huge=5x)

Weapon Pass

Lots of changes to ARK’s entire arsenal of guns, explosives, turrets and more! For more details, see the full list of changes from the base game.[docs.google.com]

It’s finally happening everyone, the biggest update yet for Balance Evolved! The highlight of the update is of course the weapons pass that I’ve talked about for quite a while now. My main goals with it is to create more diversity in players armories, reduce grind and give low level players better tools to survive against the much more hostile and punishing environment of Balance Evolved.

However, besides the weapons pass there is second set of changes included in the update, focused on the underwater experience of the game.

Water creatures have always been overly aggressive and swarmy, even by ARK standards. Combine this with the increased speeds of wild dinos and reduced stamina pools of tamed ones, and you’ve got yourself a real nightmare. Therefore, these changes are intended to give players some breathing room (as long as they wear a SCUBA tank!) and not be forced to fight or flee for their lives as soon as they step into the water.

I’ve been working on this update for quite a while now, so I can’t wait to hear what you all think! Feedback and reports on issues are very much appreciated!
