Update: 5 Jan, 2018 @ 12:29pm

-Fixed a crash regarding the Viera mech crafting menu

-Fixed teleportation bookmarking issues with the new waystone. Also slowed it's animation and removed an upper collision area.

Update: 4 Jan, 2018 @ 12:55pm

This update fixes all of the visual issues experienced with wearing wigs purchased from Nanzie's shop. all ears now display properly. Descriptions for each hairstyle have also been implemented, as what I had originally was just one description for the entire set of wigs. I also fixed all of the wig icons.

The gramophone has been removed from the existing village (which again will be completely replaced in the future). The gramophone was causing some crashes for players.

A craftable magicite waystone (teleporter) has been added for players to build with. You'll find it under the decorative tab on the Woodworking table. I may move it's crafting location to another station in the future, so this may be a placeholder spot.

Update: 20 Oct, 2017 @ 10:38pm

Update Notes:

-Remade Mod Overview page! Check it out! Any information needed should be obtainable from the overview page. If there's anything you all would like to suggest I add to the mod page, I'm open to ideas. I also added a section for Viera lore to introduce them as a race, and I added a prologue that explains how they've gotten to where they are. As the mod becomes more fleshed out, it will eventually accommodate the prologue in gameplay! Hope you like the story I've come up with. I'll be adding to it and editing sections still as it all falls into place.

**NOTICE** The following tenants feature may be somewhat buggy, so that's why this update was referred to as a "tenants beta." You may experience a crash initially and then be able to boot the game thereafter, and if you have any Viera crew members they may be affected or disappear altogether. Sorry for this, but it was necessary to rebuild this portion of the mod properly.

-Rebuilt tenants by making each gender and sub race their own species. Purchase one of the racial items from Nanzie's shop:

-Ruby Feol Crest of Wings: Spawns Feol female
-Emerald Feol Crest of Wings: Spawns Feol male
-Heart of the Wood: Spawns Rava/Veena female
-Spirit of the Wood: Spawns Rava/Veena male

Pair one of the above mentioned objects with a colony deed and you'll be able to spawn a corresponding Viera villager! Add a combat object: Bow rack or Sword rack to the same room and you'll be able to spawn a Viera guard! Guard support is currently only for Rava/Veena Viera, but Feol may be added when their branch can fully be filled out in the mod.

- Viera NPC Villager and tenant dialog: Previously Viera tenants and villagers were not reciting any of the dialog I had written for them. Now they all speak as they should!

-Changed Red Mage, and tiers iv, vs, vis head items to not show ears. There was a conflict with the new backwards facing Viera ear style.

-Tier VA & VIA now have color options!

-Skin tone color choices for players have gone from three to thirty-four! It was suggested by players previously that I add more skin color options, and I am happy to oblige. Spawnable Viera tenants also have access to these!

-Edited a few hairstyles/wigs to make them look better. Will add and edit more in the future!

Update: 24 Sep, 2017 @ 1:55am

Due to my constantly, and absent-mindedly doing all my testing in admin mode, I didn't realize that I hadn't added all the new tiles and a few objects to the viera.species file. This means if you were playing without admin mode on, you wouldn't be able to see and craft the above x_x

- Above mentioned is now fixed with all the new tiles craftable and several decorative objects. This includes all new Dalmascan tiles, and pastel tiles (all with recolors!), and a teapot, teacup and Warren Entry way object.

- Added TeleportTier0 Waystone. I had forgotten that the beginning state of the ship has an inactive/broken teleporter, so I had to make a waystone equivalent.

- Added craftable ship bunks. These will actually be a part of the upcoming ship, but I figured it would be fun for you all to be able to craft them and try them out! They have platform collision along the ladders so you can ascend/descend the ladders!

Update: 20 Sep, 2017 @ 11:35pm

-Added the new Viera teleporter: The Waystone. Based on the look of the waystones in Final Fantasy XII, this felt like a great fit! Hope you all like it ^_^

More for the ship on the way!

Update: 14 Sep, 2017 @ 6:29pm

This update fixes the UI for the Viera fuel hatch I had created. I didn't realize that it was overriding all the vanilla race's fuel hatch UI. It is not doing that now lol. I think I also neglected to mention that I had even added the UI x_x

Update: 13 Sep, 2017 @ 2:54pm

- biome.patch name fix (affected magicite spawn)

-crystallight1 conflict with Kazdra mod. This was causing some problems for those who use both Viera and Kazdra. Object name was changed to prevent the issue

-Salve Maker and Casual clothing set dye corrections. I didn't list a default color in the color options for these and because of that if you tried to dye them, it would use the next color string, as opposed to the one selected.

-Inability to craft refined Magicite crystal. This one slipped by while I was testing in admin mode, but it was preventing people from being able to craft refined Magicite. I had neglected before to add the material to the player.config.patch.

You'll also find a new captain's chair (not the final one, as there isn't enough space to accomodate currently) and the fuel station which will now accept magicite ore and refined magicite as fuel! While testing these with existing characters, I didn't see them showing up. On ship upgrade it may put the new objects in place, but this is not confirmed. It may require a shipworld reset in order to find the replacement objects. Sorry for constant shipworld resets, I'm hoping you'll all only need to do one more (when the new ship is completed). Keep in mind that magicite ore will provide less fuel than the refined Magicite. I felt this as a good choice to convey the idea that refined Magicite crystal is magicite in it's condensed, most energy efficient form. Players can still use the vanilla fuel items to fuel the ship, as I have not found a way to disable that. No one should need to what with the plentiful amount of Magicite that can be found.

WARNING: Before updating to this upcoming version, it's imperative that you destroy any "crystal lights" you may have placed, as their object name has changed. If you do not, it may cause a crash at first. In my testing it crashed initially, then when I reloaded the game my file would load but the crystal lights placed were simply gone. I don't want it to cause any major problems for anyone so that's why I'm telling everyone now. If anyone is unfamiliar with this object, it is simply called "crystal light" on the woodworking table, and is the type that converts it's look based on where it's positioned.

Update: 1 Sep, 2017 @ 5:06pm

Finally an update, riiiiiight?!

I haven't had a chance to take screenshots as per usual for my updates so I'm just going to list everthing:

-All previous objects and tiles have been re-touched. Some looks may still change, but all tiles now have color options, so you can paint each one! I've utilized the color schemes seen in architecture across Ivalice to create the various options. I'm aiming to do the same for all of the objects in the future as well.

-Over 40 new tiles all with color options! The new ones are mainly based on the architecture of Dalmasca and the whole of Ivalice.

-Over 80 new objects! I say "over" 80 because not all are craftable and I didn't want to give an exact count :p For instance there are a handful of objects that are specifically meant for settlements.

-New Viera specific crafting stations: These stations currently use the vanilla recipe filters, so they work just like the vanilla crafting stations counterparts. There are Viera counterparts for every vanilla station except the inventor's table and anvil. This won't always be the case. Once I can flesh out crafting for the Viera, they will be equivalent, but with more to craft just for the race.

-New Viera EPP: It's crafted on the anvil however, again this won't always be the case. The Viera EPP combines both the various protections (and is upgradeable, however the look doesn't change) and the lantern on a stick. I know, it makes the light augment useless, but it utilizes a recipe that uses the Viera crystal lantern, so hold onto yours or buy one from Nanzie! You'll at least be able to utilize all other augments instead of having to consider or compromise for light. The look may change.

-New Magicite Ore: Found near the cores of Lush planets, magicite ore glows and is quite plentiful. You can also find it in crystal form growing underground. It only has a handful of uses currently, but turn it into refined Magicite at the stone hearth, and you'll be able to craft decorative items and the various Viera EPP. With the coming of the new ship, as most of you know I'm aiming to make this a fuel item for ship travel.

-New ship objects and change in ship tiles for character: The Viera now have a racial storage locker and the SAIL has been given more life and detail, no longer being reduced to a panel and a screen avatar. The SAIL will get more fleshed out as well, especially with the advent of the new ship coming. I've also changed the existing tiles used on the original ship. Don't worry, I am *not* sticking with the Floran ship, I just wanted to give it a bit more character until I have the new ship completed!

- 1.3 Mech Compatibility: You can now play as Viera again! Sorry about the wait on this - _ - I don't have their intended mech completed as of yet, which will be a Magitek mech, heavily based on the Magitek armor from FFVI (my favorite FF). It's currently using the Floran's racial mech as a placeholder.

- New Hairstyles! Around five-ish! More to come, don't worry!

- New Ear Type! I know, it means creating a new character, but you'll be able to check out these new ears that are angled backward.

**Other Notes**
- No new armors, skin tones or starter gear in this build, but my focus will return to it in time, don't worry!

-Settlements are currently in limbo, although the previous village setup will still spawn in this build. Settlements will be instanced in the future and accessed via gates that must be unlocked with vision dust. @bk3k has been assisting to get this sorted out, and where it needs to be, but it still needs more work and testing on my part. This is a work in progress and is taking a backseat over the next few weeks order to focus on the new ship.

-The mod is now much smaller in size all thanks to PNGGauntlet. Very big thanks to @bk3k for compressing the imagery for me, and for suggesting it for further use.

I thiiiink that pretty much wraps up the notes for this update for the most part. Here's what to expect for the next updates (save for any inevitable fixes that may arise):

- The Ship.... yes, it's what's next
- Magitek Mech (if other aspects don't take precedence)

I don't wanna promise too much because I'm very changeable and tend to flip flop my focus occasionally. Anyway, sorry again for the wait! I hope you all enjoy this! If you have any feedback or bug reports please post them here, and if you like the new update, please rate the mod! Your continued support means so much!

Update: 7 Jan, 2017 @ 2:39pm

Hey all, finally posting the fix for the Chocobo pet. No new additions have been released with this version, although I have a *lot* I am eager to show. A lot of revisions/changes of the existing content are still in progress as well as many new additions. I'm aiming to rebuild the existing village, and build all further structures through Tiled, though I am still too unfamiliar with adding custom objects/tiles to the program. Progress on all this has been sluggish the past several weeks what with the holidays and the tragic passing of one of my greatest heroes and her wonderful mother, but I'm back to the drawing board now. I'll have things to show soon, guys :)
