Bare in mind this was uploaded a LONG time ago my friend ... the game has changed significantly ... wasn't always the case it was useless because you will find this ship made use of the "straw" cargo exploit that xisted which meant it had a ridiculous cargo hold for a ship of it's size and price.
The idea of it was to be a very very cheap starter ship.
Like i said - this is back from when the game was quite different.
/hugs
Thank you again Brujo
The cargo issue is very difficult to overcome due to a major change that happened after the ship was made.
The simple solution is to scale the ship to whatever you can afford and then the 2 intakes on either side you can simply remove the armor layer and you will find the cargo easily accessible and modifiable. For the center one it sits at the front of the ship and again it just a case of removing the armor layer to get access.
basically ships were all designed on a 0.5 scale at that time but when cargo was changed it was made that a MINIMUM cargo hold must be 1x1x1 and thus ships like mine "broke" and what once had cargo had 0.
Thank you for the kind words though and I am really thrilled to see someone had the game made better for them because it was always the intention, something cheap, fun and easy to fly that was scalable.
I have done some serious investigating on this and the sad news is - I cannot fix it.
The point of these ships were that they were SMALL so they based on a .5 ratio not the flat 1:1 and it looks like the devs have opted to cater for 1.0 and above for cargo.
A single 1:1 block gives 0.4 cargo space so it is now very clear to me why the cargo on this ship is broken.
Now I could simply scale up to 2x but it actually breaks all the power gen on the ship and I'd argue if im scaling that high I may aswell rework the unreleased Nostromo design I was saving till 1.0
I have not forgot this ship, far from it it has been HUGELY popular but it seems the intended "scale" of the game as considerably larger than the base scaling of this little run around.
A sad day.
What im thinkin though is actually skipping the 2 slot because the Grifter is so ludicrously space efficient the size difference is makin me wonder if its worth doing the 2 slot.
Regardless work has commenced and I will have a stab with the 2 slot before I decide whether to just skip and move to the 3.
I do think the Hellion is a nicer looking ship though and that the 2 slot will feel like a downgrade from the Grifter.
Watch this space.
Again none of this would be possible without the creative mind of Derp and I am thrilled the collabaration has been this successful.
I am pleased to say in-light of every AAA title I was looking forward to now having been refunded and beyond Warframe not having alot to play - the Avorion update today has summoned me back and I will be makin a start in the long overdue overhauls for the ships in the series.
Startin with 2 slot and 3 slot shortly after.
@azhockeynut I have never forgot your request I just haven't really been around on Avorion and beyond that I don't want to scale the ship too much as this has adverse effects but now that I will be active again I will most definitely see what can be done here for you. Even if it means offering you a 1-off modified version of the ship privately.
I can't figure out how to upgrade parts of it so I have to transform the whole thing each time entirely. I doubt that is the intention or the best use of materials either.
plus it seems to handle ery differently when i do that lol
@ Azhockey I understand now, you like the top part, when you say "strip" do you mean the sort of "fin" at the top that is a stripe going from the back up to the bridge? or do you mean the overall surface area of the top of the ship beneath the strip and the bridge?
is there a decent tutorial somewhere I can watch. tired of making nice ships look like boxes I am.

That was the exact idea.
The Framework areas and compartmentalisation (sp?) of the internal systems was deliberately done so that you could do that by simply swapping out block types and upgrading materials.
Do you mind showing me how/where you made it wider on top so I can better understand what you were talking about.
I thought you meant the nose so I am clearly misunderstanding and would love to see your changes.
I am Obiwan not Derp.
Regardless though I give 100% credit everywhere on all my posts. The ship itself was based off my first refit of a hull that Derp never released for public consumption.
But unlike Gordan23 I approached Derp and spoke at length about my intentions and what I wanted to do.
Derp is WELL aware I consider his works the best in the workshop and that I have huge admiration and respect for what he does.
Did you not see the Iron version my friend?

As for the other requests I will see what I can do :)
Solid ship mate
Thrilled to hear its worked for that long honestly.
Thank you!
