Great idea to add to surviavl mode, almost like in subnautica, where you can deside if you want to go all in needing food and water for survival, or just go explore mode without the thought for basic survival needs.

No we don't, eating automatically is fine. It's enough to make food, but completely stopping what we're doing to sit down and eat? Not unless it's optional.
You're not the only person using the mod, remember.

Yeah in the other mod i can decide how much each food item satisfies hunger. At this point i basically made 2 tier foods, one type that satisfies 35% and one type that satisfies 70% (because you eat when it's 30%). I don't know if it picks food items to eat in any certain order. It probably just picks something in your inventory at random.

I was thinking with the crop grower you get to dedicate the block to a specific plant yourself. You just create more crop growers and rename them to the plant you want to grow in them.

It would be cool if you break the plant grower into different blocks, like a potato plot, corn plot, and so on as well as compost bin

How dose the eating work? Dose each food give a different amount of hunger and if so dose it eat the larger food amount or the lesser , dose it eat what you have more of or less of?

I added another vegetable and a food item. You should be able to eat it if you use it in combination with my hunting and food mod, but i haven't tested it.

I ended up making grass give organic material for fertilizer and made new ores for asteroids to produce fertilizer.

That could certainly be one solution on planets, but i think it wouldn't make sense that you would randomly find seeds on organic matter taken from asteroids, though.

What if you put organic on roids and you can craft organic to fertilizer and if you have alot of it make seeds ( thinking like ark you pick berries and at a rare point or along time you can get seeds ) so something like you would need alot to shift to find just a few seeds

Yeah i already added seeds in the drop pods, because it's the only way i could figure out how to give the players seeds.

After some testing i realized i can indeed make grass or other planetary ground materials give you organic ore. We could use that for fertilizer. I could also at the same time make it possible to synthesize organic material from regular ores perhaps, for people in space. But what ores could i combine to produce organic ore?

I'm not too sure about using a large amount of power.
something in this day and age is called "growtainers"
it uses solar power to power special light bulbs for hydroponic growing.

I wonder if this mod can be intergated with the hunting mod. ^^

hopefully keen does consider some form of hydroponics since every movie or game set in space has some form of hydroponics to grow food from.
Even system shock 2 had a whole deck for hydroponic!

You are using water, minerals (Assume at least trace amounts from any stone), and electricity; those are the basic elements for life.
Sure, it may not be totally realistic, but it is kinda fun.
I'm not certain about this, but I believe the hydroponics bay also took a sizable amount of power, so it's a bit balanced out.
Plus, if you need to find things like seeds or organic material from cargo ships or planets, people who play in asteroids without cargo ships are going to be left behind.
Being able to create seeds with a 'mutator' or something, to mutate raw organic material created with the hydroponics bay, at the cost of a lot of power and raw resources just for a small amount of functional seeds, might be a step towards realism that supports more players and playstyles.

But mineable dirt sounds useable if you can get it to spawn even on roids that way games that don't have cargo ships enabled
