@human - This mod is balanced for vanilla, if i balanced it for a unit increase mod it is no longer balanced for vanilla. You can easily edit the stats yourself if you download RPFM.

i see do try though cause normally unit mods that add new units usually get out classed by the mods that add more men and preportional health to most vinilla units and single entities get a minimal of double or 150% or what ever number boost to health to compinsate for the numbers going up. if you can test your mod with those and see how they do then you can adjust your mod to compinsate for it.

@madjuk - he has extra skills to reduce the upkeep cost. But off the top of my head it will be the anicillary table if you want to edit it.

quick question: I think the +30% upkeep and -30 recruit is not well balanced for me, what table do I have to change in the pack manager to modify those values?

@bladeluoxl - In the grudgebringer units mod, Grudgebringer Cavalry is just a unit, in this mod the uniit is now a legendary lord Morgan Bernhardt but he still has his grudgebringer cavalry with him.

This mod is awesome, really brings back hold memories ! Try put on a fall ball ring to watch 30 fireballs go flying to all sides (awesome feature, dont change it please)! :steamhappy:

@phillip - this one is for empire as I use it myself, you sure you haven’t got my dwarf version installed as well as that would cause problems, only one can be active at a time.

Hi I found the units. Morgan shows up with the Empire, but the five new units were added to the Dwarf roster and show up playable with the Dwarfs. Can this be changed show the units show up playable with the Empire roster? Thank You!!

like the Mod, but for someone reason the units are not showing up in custom or Grand Campaign. But Morgan is.

@big boss - I think it will work but I'm not sure if the legendary Lord will appear as he spawns via script. Give it a go if it crashes your game or he doesn't show up just reload the mod without. Ive got a new version of the campaign Overhaul that has this guy as a starting faction so you could just start a new campaign after your done with this one.

Glad I can help balance things out. Honestly it's a great mod you have and I do enjoy using him as a supplement force to my main army, which is what I envision him as anyway with the mercenary background and high upkeep on troops.

Oh, and difficulty is on medium I think? I mostly play it to mess around, can only beat the game as every race so much before the campaign goals lose their luster.

I'm not sure if it's possible but I know you can make the main guy a bit stronger than the rest of the units, is it also possible to make it so only he uses the items? That way one fireball is sent instead of 30-50. That's the main balancing issue I saw with him, use of items.

For the unbreakable after going back it was an additional item. All battles were done with him as the solo unit with about 33-35 people within his unit and anywhere from 800 to 2200 troops of undead with zombies and skeletons. The battle plan plays out with the unit never actually engaging in melee, as a calvary you're already faster than the foot soldiers so you just run around them, alternating between running and walking and sitting when casting the fireball move. Lord level was around 6 when I started these fights and all abilities were placed in combat, improving charge, armour, and then getting Foeseeker (I include that because the move does increase speed and tiredness). As a unit in melee he isn't overpowered, except as an early game start since his default flame move can wreck lightly armoured troops. It's really just with the application of some items that really turn him into a killer.

Just did a quick test against an army of zombies and skeleton warriors 1500 v 30. I killed 250 and they killed 25 and I lost. Also they are not unbreakble by default so you must have picked up a trait in game. Few questions Is your lord high level and you've put loads of points in yellow, what battle difficulty are you playing? What was the enemy army compostion was it all trash units zombies and skeletons?

Humorous* And for clarification, he fought alone, no units to help him. Which normally is impossible except he's also an unbreakable unit... so I can literally fight as long as I need to.

@shaky_rivers, give him a ring that casts fireball and he is certainly OP. Played him last night and found out that when using the skill (which btw has no cost on mana, just a time cost) everyone in the group casts a fireball. Ever wanted to see what the acapolypse looks like? Have over 50 men all firing a fireball at once your direction and you'll get a good idea. I found it humours and had him act as the bastion against the undead, even while injured with a measly 36 horsemen I was able to slaughter an army of over 2000 in under 20 minutes of battle and kiting.... Just food for thought.

@marine - you must be on a different difficulty to me or I'm rubbish as Bernhardt doesn't make it easy for me. When you hire him he's quite expensive and as he levels up he gets good but nothing that amazing.

@hellforger - I've had the same ideas but the work involved to do it would be too much and I don't have the skills or the time. Someone has done a dogs of war horde mod that can hire grudgebringer units, you could give that a try.

Or turn it into a full-fledged Horde army without the standard Empire units available. Only Mercs from the Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen. I believe there are like 20 or more unique merc squads in these 2 games.

@shaky_rivers - might I suggest turning this mod into an Empire Province overhaul, so that it can be consiedered a seperate faction and be compatible with unlockers and LL mods.
