Kana 4 Dec, 2019 @ 7:19am
There will be NO 1.0 update, as stated in the previous comments.

Use this mod instead. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1613783924

I don't think the percentages are good. If I build two road ten tiles, a stone road and an asphalt one, it would cost 1500 vs 4500 stone + Chemfuel (Whatever, I have Rimefeller), whereas the speed difference is 55% vs 65%, with a variant between the two and a free variant for a 30% reduction. In this case, its like asking for 3x the resources and more time for a reward worth 1.2x more more per tile. I realize that the difference is substantial, just pointing out that it is not at all cost effective. If you consider the time for construction to be 3x as well, it's a 9x total cost (Not considering other resources) vs 1.2x benefit. Seems kinda low, y'know? Sorry for the rant, I realize this mod is old and will not update.
Kana 17 Feb, 2019 @ 6:05pm
It's cost per tile, yeah
Bio[redacted] 17 Feb, 2019 @ 11:09am
so it costs 150 in total to build a road or does it cost 150 per tile covered (e.g 150 x 10 tiles=1500)? cause if it only costs 150 thats kind of OP

@jecrell
please update 1.0
bk3000 1 Jan, 2019 @ 11:25am
That's already the case. Go through the comments to find the link.
Chubby Boy 1 Jan, 2019 @ 10:07am
if the OA doesn't want to support it anymore, perhaps they wouldn't mind putting their code on github so someone else can continue supporting it?
Kana 28 Dec, 2018 @ 3:15am
I have personally spoken to Jecrell about updating RimRoads, and they have let me know that since the release of B19 and the way that roads are handled, the work needed to update the mod to work again would be a huge undertaking, and one that they don't even know would result in finding a way to update the mod to work on 1.0.

Jecrell has a huge catalogue of really fantastic mods that require a lot of time to maintain and update, and they have made the decision to place the update of RimRoads on permanent hold for the forseeable future. They want to devote their time to expanding and updating their other mods because that is where their drive and enjoyment is targeted just now.

The only possible solution I can see is to either have a experience modder contact Jecrell to get permission to investigate if updating the mod is possible, and if so to release it 'Unofficially', or to contact Tynan and request he makes it a part of Vanilla RimWorld.

Hi there. I wish to start a new game on 1.0. But I really wish to try out this mod. Just to let you know there is atleast one more person looking up for it's update.

AmbiguousMonk 21 Dec, 2018 @ 12:39pm
I really hope someone eventually updates this to 1.0. I'm not skilled enough to do it myself. This was one of my favorite RimWorlds mods for the longest time
jackik 18 Dec, 2018 @ 12:28pm
No
Kasarian 18 Dec, 2018 @ 11:48am
Does it still work with 1.0?
SpookyBlush 17 Dec, 2018 @ 8:13pm
I would totally update this mod, but unfortunately I just don't have the time to learn how to develop/modify rimworld mods at the moment. I hope someone else with as much motivation will pick up this mod and update it, since it looks like Jecrell isn't going to be able to update it anytime soon.
bk3000 15 Dec, 2018 @ 2:08pm
@steelcitydubber
Note the tags on the mods that denote what version of the game you must have to use them. In this case 0.18. There is no 1.0 compatible version sadly.
steelcitydubber 15 Dec, 2018 @ 8:01am

Jumping onto the List of people asking for an update. It's the holidays, so by no means am I saying we're more important than your family, Jecrell. But you've made something that the people want! Enjoy the holiday season, my dude, but we'll be here eagerly awaiting your update! :msfortune:

...and i also have to agree!
