Vanilla Events Expanded has this + more, for those interested. Also allows disabling anything, so you can just enable this one if you wish.

i have on multiple occasions received wandering caravan event with the animals ALWAYS carrying 200+ beer and (highest noted) 30,000 Gold... this is a mistake perhaps? something to do with NOT having a peak to the amount of wealth it adds, it seems to get worse the more wealth you have, getting 30k gold is not balanced, at the time of playing it tripled my wealth...

not gonna lie, good concept, but it's very dissapointing when I have advanced technology, heating n shit, some people armed in power armor, but the animals give like 3 meds, seems the loot needs to be buffed a fair bit
balanced? Cuz fighting with an 35 elite mercenaries just to get 2 hyperweaves and a single glitterworld medicine is kinda... Ya' know. Not so satisfying at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This mod only adds events that have no dependencies on any non-vanilla events or state, so I wouldn't see why any other mod that adds events would cause an issue.

Indeed, that mod does have a "Caravan animals wander in" event. However, this mod has two similar, but different wandering caravan animals events. They are not exactly the same as the other mod. For one thing, one of the events involves the caravan animals owners showing up to demand the return of their animals and goods.

It contains this event along with several others and is fully controllable for which you want to keep or remove :)
Question: If you allow them to reclaim their stuff, what is rightfully theirs, does this positively boost relations with this faction at least slightly? (Does the player get a reputation boost with the faction?)
It's such a letdown to have them come reclaim everything after we found the wandering animal and tamed it. And I would think that the faction coming to retrieve their stuff would be at least a bit grateful that they could recover everything and that you're so reasonable about it.

@general223 seems to have abandoned the mod, which is sad, for it's really a nice mod and could use some love on ironing out those small quirks on distribution.
A nice new feature would be if, once tamed, the beasts triggered a "Unload Caravan" job - but only after the "hundreds of bulky non-stackable items (chunks, minified buildings, etc) spawning" bug is killed.
(you can also have 3 shoe-related items btw, to help give your colonists a bit of stackable speed boost, i think its wraps, socks, and sandals, but they do add a bit of weight to yoru character too so they can haul less with pick up and haul but is still cool :)
will be even cooler once there is a way to easily see which clothing slots a character can use, and what we have available on the map that could fit that slot (without displacing anything they already have)
btw if you do have lots of unwanted socks, theres some cool mods that can let you unravel them back into thread, or refine them into nano tech fuel, and even convert them into other components with cloud core mods
