People in 2023 complaining about a mod last updated in 2018. kek

Right, i see platinum at begining, but i need technology to see lead and iron, also military theory is a empty tech.

With this mod I see a broken tech screen: Fishing occurs twice, Trapping and Animal Husbandry overlap each other, etc. Mod not compatible with VP 3.6.2 ?

Why bronze working contains iron?

Pottery is not directly connected with agriculture, because it depends on clay, not food.
Pottery was invented much earlier than agriculture in real life

@Snowduck

Done. Scout is set to optics (as in vanilla VP) and pathfinder to hunting.
Snowduck 24 Dec, 2017 @ 1:08am
Well maybe you could put scout on tech tree later and just make the pathfinder the first explorer unit

@inahut / Potatos

Thanks for the feedback - feel free to make suggestions on how you feel it could be improved. I was also very disappointed with Civ VI - I bought the deluxe edition when it came out and felt like a beta tester and was forced to shelve it. I am also grateful for the modding community; am glad I was able to contribute in my own way.

@Snowduck

The pathfinder and scout being both available at the same time (for now) is on purpose as I could not figure out where to put the pathfinder. Would have have a suggestion as to where to relocate it? I am definitely open for suggestions.

At first glance this mod looks very promising. Thank you.
In addition, while CivVI continues its regressive course, trying to make itself a "board game" instead of a historical strategy game, we are all grateful for the free-modders like you who continue to significantly improve the gameplay of CivV--Last Great Civ Game. Long live CivV.

In my game, the pathfinder and the scout is available at the same time, is that on purpose.

I am personaly impressed with this mod and it well desurves its subscription. I am amazed with the historical accuracy, and gameplay practicallity. Thank you very much.

@skybix - Farming and herding yielding more per hour compared to hunting and fishing has nothing to do with historical accuracy in terms of when people started doing things. People were hunter gatherers long before they started with animal husbandry or agriculture. If you look at the native americans, they never even developed proper agriculture (or even writing).

This mod aims to reflect that reality and as mentioned in the description, leans on Civ4's original tech tree design to achieve that. Above all the purpose of this mod is to make access to resources more balanced. Your comment on weather certain activities yieled more per hour and the lack of reality behind it applies to virtually every version of the civilization franchise, let alone this mod :)
skybix 21 Dec, 2017 @ 12:02am
Your historical accuracy is off. Farming and herding yield far more food per hour of labor than hunt or fishing. This is the exact reason civilizations advanced so quickly in Europe and the middle east compared to Australia and the Americas.Australia had no high protein grains or good herd animals, and the Americas only the lama. Thus Europe was able to produce more calories per person in food production and thus support a larger population. this in turn increases the chance that someone will invent something useful.
