AI ist harder and can research much faster, but I think it's not as hard as in Radious. However, I don't know Radious so…

Hello, I have been using the Radious AI Mod which makes the AI much more aggressive and they will creat more bigger and better armies, faster. The difficulty also dramatically increases when going from hard to very hard to legenerdary. My question is does this mod make the AI as powerful and aggerssive? Or at least on a similar level? I want to switch out the Radious mod because its out of date but I don't want to mess up my games or make them too easy again.

This is a very good MOD! However, I found there are some deficiencies. For example, AI will not dismantle structures that do not belong to its own factions. Sometimes AI's army will be in a daze. At present, these two deficiencies have a greater impact on the game experience, and others do not feel bad at the moment. I hope you can make updates and adjustments. Thank you! My English is so bad

I like this take on Better AI Recruitment very mucht! Would it be possible to include the army composition changes only in a separate/alternative mod? (Something like Nordo's Improved AI recruitment)

Units of higher quality get higher priority an levy units get lower priority. Army constellations are individual for every faction/subculture

As I can say they will attack if they are strong enough.

Figured I may as well ask you this..I am looking to increase the time your reputation suffers when you break a treaty. Now if you break a trade agreement and attack your reputation goes from streadfast to trustworthy. I know I can edit the values in column 2 in the following file however your reputation goes back to steadfast pretty quickly.. Do you know of any way to change the length of time you take a reputation hit? Regards

after some testing i think recruitment isnt the problem. I guess its more an economic problem with factions concentrating (too) much on military buildings, while (unnecessary) fleets are eating most of their income. For rome this is a bigger problem as for barbarian factions because of their military building chain.

@Denis: I think I found the cause of your problem. I will improve the mod compatibility in my next update, which should solve these problems. It should then be possible to use both mods together.

Okay, here is one problem: I found that Harder Than Legendary already uses it's own Better Recruitment. Using it together with this mod could work (in theory) but may lead to such crazy issues. However, HTM changes most AI/recruitment files for it's own need so I recommend to unsubscribe here if you want to use it.
@ToonTotalWar are you using Harder Than Legendary or another AI mod? Maybe it's the same reason. Otherwise it should work.

rome(!), baktria, carthage, nervii, arverni. In my campaign they are big empires (rome got around 30 provinces) and they used to maintain at least 4 full stacks of land armies, in addition to fleets. Now they still maintain fleets, some more some less but they nearly gave up their land military. I use reduced upkeep for all ai factions to bolster their financial capabilities. I also use harder than legendery and correction recruitment (the mod that fixes the auxiliary before cohort org. "bug"). Until now they have worked very well alongside each other. mod manager still says its all fine...can you tell what the problem is?

I included better recruitment for more factions. So if you can tell me a faction I look into the files if I find an error. For now I say it should work well.

Sounds crazy. It didn't happen for me so I'm not sure if this mod cause the problem. Which factions lose their armies? All factions or just certain ones?

your mod has been working very well..but out of a sudden ai lost its armies. Big empires used to spam the map with lots of stacks but now..they are gone. Maybe ai disbanded? Did your last update change anything that could be a reason? Or do you have any clue what files may be behind this?

2. yes, the army constellations become much better with a good mix of melee infantry, missile units and cavalry - of course depending on faction and unit availability.
1. AI will stop to produce levy units if they are able to recruit better troups. E.g. if an eastern faction wants to recruit spearmen but the basic "Eastern Spearmen" are the only spear units they currently have, they recruit them. 'Cause I was really annoyed facing them this much I tried my best to reduce the recruitment priority of those levy troups even more so they become replaced by better units as soon as possible.
