Just wanted to give some useful info for people who struggle with empire spawning. Info they were most likely not aware of since they were using this mod to solve the issue.
You don't need to go dunking on a mod 2 years dead and labeled as such just because you don't want to use it :p
What if I want to play as the UNE, what should I do? will the COM still appear if I do it, if they are set as 'lost' world will there be another UNE that shows up.
I just want to play as the UNE, and have the COM be my lost colony as the plot intended without the other species that don't seem very realistic to me.
Mod officially declared dead.
If a future patch makes the method used usable again I'll revive it.
@reeses4brkfst, You're right, this mod is usually fine to use after updates. There's only been one patch where I actually needed to do a change but with that said don't hesitate to ask for updates. I don't mind fixing the version number, I just need a reminder when a new patch drops.
Check that you haven't forgotten to enable the mod, have an incompatible mod active, done something that makes the humans not spawn (such as using the Deneb or Sol systems on your species), or done something to break Stellaris.
The only advice I can give is to load my mod last, other than that you'll have to troubleshoot on your own as the mod itself should work perfectly fine and I can only guess at what you've added that breaks it for you.
Or if not Ironman, type observe into the console and search Systems for Sol/Daneb. If they are there then just restart
But if you're cloning them as a custom empire you can just force spawn the custom one and shouldn't need the mod.
