ty ty this is amazing, next question and sorry to bother you but do you know how to disable the engine animation? its weird to have the massive yellow line behind the ship as it moves

Yeah, that is not that hard, as long as you want to do simple model swap that is. Might be a little buggy for various reasons but should not crash the game... possibly.

First of all, back up game files or be ready to delete manually entire game folder (in case something goes wrong). Quickest way would be to take \Stargate Mod War Begins\textures folder and copy it into main game folder "Nexus The Jupiter Incident" and do not make it replace any files. Then go to \Stargate Mod War Begins\meshes\Wraith\ and copy hive.msh to \Nexus The Jupiter Incident\meshes\earth\main\. Next, rename hive.msh to keyship.msh and let it replace original keyship.msh.

AngelWing should look like Wraith Hive now.

Oh, I see... go to \Steam\steamapps\common\Nexus The Jupiter Incident\mods\Stargate Mod War Begins\NEXUS Skirmisher\_templates\ a copy .mach_ files into \Steam\steamapps\common\Nexus The Jupiter Incident\mods\NEXUS Skirmisher\_templates\ and restart Nexus Skirmisher (if it was running).

You should be able to chose mission type after that.

Hey @dreamor

So I have downloaded the skirmisher. No issues.

Unfortunately I am unsure how to get the shield to engage straight away.

I am unsure by the guide you provided

"The use of skirmisher: You use it as before, but you have to select the "WarBeginsSkirmisher" Mission Type in the upper right corner of the program for your shields to work properly" could you provide a screenshot guide by any chance?

October 2024 Update is out! Made some changes here and there, fixed some things, updated some visuals over the years (read update description for more info). Does this mean that this mod is alive again? Well, sort of. More like a perpetual zombie state actually, a little fun project full of nostalgia made in spare time.

Let me know, if you encounter any bugs or problems! I will try to sort them out.

Adding to this, you also need to copy the entire stargate mod folder into the skirmisher's own mod folder, or it won't get detected.

Hey for those not finding the files for Skirmisher, when you're in /steamapps you have to go to /workshop instead of common, you'll have to dig through folders with numbers but it the files from this mod should be in one of them.

Hi there, amazing mod! Not sure if you are still around or active but I wanted to know if you could help with a modding / modeling question (similar to Era's below). I've been working on modding some ships and I've noticed that the current version of Lightwave is not fully compatible with Nexus TJI. It seems the newer .LWO file format does not play nice with this old game for things like engine nodes and UV textures.

I was able to locate a trial version of Lightwave 9.6 but being restricted to 400 points is a bummer. Do you know of a better way that works today?

Can i ask you what software and plugins you used to model a ship and define the position of weapons?
I have a project to modify the vessels and armaments of the solo campaign but since 1 year the project is stopped because I cannot define the location of the armament on the model of the ships.

I am working on small update right now. Mainly fixes for smaller things and workaround for shield penetration bug with weapons that should not penetrate ship shields. No ETA at the moment.

If anyone has same issue as stugerb and jamie_walls, and cants find/dont have a folder for the mod, steam puts it in a different place. Foe me it was: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\6420\1287553011"

Hmm, interesting. There should definitely be some folder with the mod. Maybe steam created different name for it? Anyway, search for your local "\Steam\steamapps\common\Nexus The Jupiter Incident\mods\" folder and there you should find mod that has modinfo.xml with name of the mod inside then you can follow instructions from the description. Hope this helps.
