Hey mind if you add more legions if that is possible?
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 23 Mar, 2021 @ 10:03am
You're right. In the era of Marian there were no named legions yet
Uknowwho 21 Mar, 2021 @ 5:51pm
Hi Andrew I see you have a mod for the imperial legions but not the marian reform legions? Cheers
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 21 Mar, 2021 @ 4:34am
No. I have another mod for Rome for the main campaign
Uknowwho 20 Mar, 2021 @ 7:31pm
Can you recruit these units in the normal grand campaign?
captainducko 13 Aug, 2020 @ 6:32pm
@extremecrix git gud it took Caesar 10 years to conquer gaul. don't expand in winter, keep a small defending army in a walled city and research technologies and build your economic base, level up agents by sending them on pointless missions
extremecrix 25 Jul, 2020 @ 7:55am
please update this mod
extremecrix 24 Jul, 2020 @ 7:11pm
nice one! can u make a mod where i could play this dlc without any frustrations? cause its everyone against me, at least a mod where i could get alliances easily . once i get to the uprising bit then thats when i lose all my conquered territories. I hope someone can share my pain with Caesar in gaul
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 19 Jan, 2020 @ 1:55am
I already made a mod with the Named Roman legions
Lil' Cobain 18 Jan, 2020 @ 6:17am
One question - is it possible to get the caesarian legions of this mod for the main campaign?

Would be awesome ;)
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 1 Jan, 2020 @ 2:16am
Not yet. I don't see the need
caferwi 31 Dec, 2019 @ 5:42pm
are you going to update this mod
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 29 Jul, 2019 @ 11:45am
ok i get it
Aristoxenus 24 Jul, 2019 @ 3:13am
I thought Silures were darker, ressembling Spaniards, according to Jordanes
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 26 Nov, 2018 @ 1:24pm
ok
Augustine 26 Nov, 2018 @ 1:01pm
Can you add the Aquilifier to the First Cohorts?
Nicov47 14 Nov, 2018 @ 12:22pm
thanks for answering. the thing is that I look for legions without segmentata, and this mod is the most historically correct for the grand campaign dates. in times of the republic.
Nicov47 14 Nov, 2018 @ 11:57am
i would love if you make this mod for a grand campaign too.
please;)
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 21 Jun, 2018 @ 10:15pm
In the legions of Caesar, there were 3,500-3,700 soldiers. This is less than the standard number of the legion. So I reduced the number of cohorts.
DonPep 21 Jun, 2018 @ 2:59pm
I appreciate your fantastic work! Anyway I have a question. Why are Roman legions capped 8? I think they should be capped 9 so with eagle cohort (capped 1) they can form a "legion" (10 cohorts).
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 27 May, 2018 @ 1:45am
all units are available in custom battle. You must choose Caesar in Gaul
Brick 26 May, 2018 @ 5:28pm
Custom Battle Mode?
WaffleTaffle  [author] 24 Apr, 2018 @ 10:09am
@tjownsnoobs Technically yes, practically, no. It does work with DEI but the mods are very different in regards to unit stats which will end up making units designed for vanilla (such as ours) grossly overpowered. My advice is to use one or the other.
Hawkeye 24 Apr, 2018 @ 9:37am
dei compatible?
Conman2013 22 Apr, 2018 @ 4:18pm
THIRTEEEEENTH!!!!
snpolek 31 Mar, 2018 @ 3:42pm
thanks
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 31 Mar, 2018 @ 9:57am
I think, yes
snpolek 31 Mar, 2018 @ 9:50am
Is this mod compatible with sebidee’s Gallic roster expansion?
WaffleTaffle  [author] 25 Mar, 2018 @ 2:37pm
Hey guys, Andrew just finished another mod, it's a reskin mod designed to improve on the Desert Kingdoms DLC and affects Eastern and African units. I think it helps make the units look a lot better, check it out here : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1341586912
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 24 Mar, 2018 @ 3:40pm
I only know the fact that Caesar started the Gallic war with 4 legions. These were VII, VIII ,IX and X legions
F9minus9 24 Mar, 2018 @ 12:19pm
Have a question... Is there any attempt to address the fact the Ceasar starts the campaign with Legio 1 and there are no (obviously) legio 1 units in this mod?
WaffleTaffle  [author] 17 Mar, 2018 @ 8:29am
Happy Saint Patrick's Day everyone!
TaylorMade 10 Mar, 2018 @ 12:03am
I'm addicted

Well, I have added one more cohort to each legion and the name Legion X "Equestris" :)
BeardedWoobie 4 Mar, 2018 @ 5:11pm
Okay, I gotcha
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 4 Mar, 2018 @ 4:25pm
Equestris may be, but other legions have not yet been named in the era of Caesar. Legion names are given only in the 1st century AD. I know that the legion consisted of 10 cohorts, but Caesar's legions were less than the nominal number, about 3400-3700 men. I did not want to reduce the number of legionnaires in the cohort, but reduced the number of cohorts.
BeardedWoobie 4 Mar, 2018 @ 3:46pm
Okay, I can understand you after hearing that and rereading the description...perhaps you could add the legion names (example being "Legio X Equestris" Also another thing, historically legions were 10 cohorts each, rather then 8.
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 4 Mar, 2018 @ 1:21pm
British factions do not have archers at all. I think it's not right and I just corrected it. Elements of a grand campaign can not be excluded entirely from the CiG campaign. Roman and barbarian units are the same as in a grand campaign.
BeardedWoobie 4 Mar, 2018 @ 12:10pm
You mention that Briton factions get Gallic Hunters, I'm not huge fan of that personally. I was suggesting that all Grand Campaign element are removed in a submod to make this mod solely a Caesar in Gaul mod. Don't get me wrong though, this is a fantastic mod that I will enjoy.
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] 4 Mar, 2018 @ 6:54am
What exactly do you mean?
BeardedWoobie 4 Mar, 2018 @ 6:21am
Maybe a submod that removes the grand campaign aspects of the mod?
WaffleTaffle  [author] 28 Feb, 2018 @ 5:26pm
Hey guys! I wanted to let you know that our new mod "More loyalty, less secession" is out now! This mod was created for those who do not like the frequency of civil war. If it sounds like something you might enjoy, check it out here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1316022491

I had made one similar mod for Attila: "Roman Expansion" in my workshop

Units appear in military barracks, starting with the second level. Problems will not be if you use just other unitpacks, but DEI is a complete reorganization of the game. It may conflict with my mod.
WalhallBerserker 10 Feb, 2018 @ 4:20am
I love your work, will you do something for the hannibal campain too?
And do you mode attila too?
Muerks 10 Feb, 2018 @ 3:11am
I'm not getting any of the units here to work, even though I just started a new campaign on CIG. Although I am using DEI for this, but as you stated before there should be no problem when combining. I've waited for a mod like this for SO LONG! And now it doesn't want to work :(
THIRTEENTH FOR LIFE!!!
