seems to be doing similar, but there are a lot more changes on top. up to date at least
i really like the idea, but can't find an actual version :-/
at least this is my way of dealing with it vanilla. its not perfect but it does work. I just find it funny that the base game doesnt allow you to have living pops from other empires work in yours even if they cant have leaders or political rights. ( I agree with no factions thing you have)

I also fixed the issue with vassalization, so you should be good to go there!
If you're playing 2.0, you now have to have the Domination tradition to demand vassals or tributaries.
