Fleaonaleaf.ttv :D,
Ohhhh okay, good you fixed it. Thanks!
Fleaonaleaf.ttv :D 14 Feb @ 4:27pm
@Kuratheris, I figured out the problem after removing all the mods and still having the same problem. Turns out the version of the Jewelry mod I had was still the original (which is now unlisted in the Steam Workshop), and not the one that is being maintained and updated. I thought I had caught all the mods that were defunct when I came back to Rimworld at the beginning of the month... Turns out I missed one!

I wouldn't have caught it if you hadn't mentioned your code being basically vanilla, it gave me the idea to look into the parent mod, so many thanks for that! I'm going to give you an award.. because I can. :D
Kuratheris  [author] 14 Feb @ 1:31pm
You're welcome, glad you like it!
Fleaonaleaf.ttv :D 14 Feb @ 12:59pm
Okay, thanks for the information, suggestions and prompt responses @Kuratheris!
I also wish to take a moment to thank you for the continued mod support over the years. This mod is one of my favourites, which is why this bugs me since I've used this for years without problems. Leave it to me to break it!
Have a happy hearts day and keep up the amazing work <3
Keep on smiling!

@Fleaonaleaf.ttv :D,
I have no idea what could be doing that when my code is basically the same as vanilla. You're gonna have to deactivate mods 5-10 at a time, load up, see if it still happens, and repeat until it stops happening and you figure out which one you just deactivated it is.
Fleaonaleaf.ttv :D 14 Feb @ 12:32pm
@Kuratheris I think I've isolated the other part of the problem; once the gems are mined, they turn into the OG Jade. What mod function(s)/game code aspect is being affected here? If you can help me out with that, I might be able to figure out what mod(s) that also affect that aspect of the game and continue troubleshooting from there on my own. Should I try moving it up or down in the mod list, or does that not have an impact?
Kuratheris  [author] 13 Feb @ 10:52am
@Fleaonaleaf.ttv :D,
Some other mod is probably messing with it.
Fleaonaleaf.ttv :D 13 Feb @ 6:13am
I think I may have encountered a bug. It's almost like the mod is half working.. All the resources spawn in my play through... however, stockpiles and storage options do not recognise any of the gems so my pawns will not bring the mined materials to my storage. Does anyone have any idea how to remedy this?
Kuratheris  [author] 7 Feb @ 8:37am
@blackrave, for crafting station stats it's called WorkTableWorkSpeedFactor.

And yeah, it's weird you can't make everything out of stones as well, it wouldn't be hard at all to make it possible, they just still have all the furniture coded this way for whatever reason.
blackrave 7 Feb @ 1:39am
Worktable?
Isn't it called "Work speed factor"?

Also- yes, unfortunatelly many worktables can't be made from gems
Which is weird since gems are just fancy stones, so anything that can be made from stone blocks should in theory be buildable from gems too
Alas only crematorium can be made from gems.
Kuratheris  [author] 6 Feb @ 8:01am
@Quartz,

Craft Time is basically how long it takes to craft items with that material. For example if something takes 1000 work to make at a value of 1, it will take 1300 at 1.3 craft time(WorkToMake).

Worktable speed is how fast things are crafted at a crafting station made of the material. I believe a value of 1.5 will be 50% faster to craft anything with it.

They're effectively the same. You can't actually make vanilla crafting stations out of gems, so worktable speed is pointless unless a mod lets you.
Quartz 5 Feb @ 11:47am
what is the difference between craft time and worktable speed?

(1.5)UPDATE:
--Lowered diamond stats all around, but it's still the hardest and most valuable, and second best in most other stats.
-- Tweaked some other gem stats:
------ Citrine has the best medical stats
------ Rose quartz has the best bed rest.
------ Quartz has even faster craft time.
------ Turquoise has the highest cleanliness.
------ And a handful more small changes.
-Updated and revamped the stats image a bit. Blue is the best, green is second best.
blackrave 21 Jan @ 8:34pm
Honestly I would keep diamond as close second in every stat, but have every stat at least one gem slightly better than diamond.
Kuratheris  [author] 21 Jan @ 6:32pm
@blackrave, yeah, diamond is the best gem in most aspects, but you bring up a good idea, maybe I'll make some other gems have a stat higher than diamond, or lower diamond's stats to match some others.
blackrave 21 Jan @ 6:17pm
Bexause if chart is still accurate, only sharp damage has couple gems with better stats than diamond
blackrave 21 Jan @ 6:10pm
So, is diamond "ultimate" gem?
Or is there some stats that other gems are better at?
KnightmareShiro 18 Jan @ 1:02am
Nice mod :)

UPDATE: Fixed the 1.5 patch for MoreFloors looking for the wrong version.
Ebon Phoenix 15 Jul, 2024 @ 12:32pm
Heya.... It seems like the 1.5 patch for More Floors isn't working. It looks like it's because it's looking for [T] MoreFloors 1.4 when I'm using [T] MoreFloors 1.5. When I updated the value in the patch xml in 1.5 it works fine
Kuratheris  [author] 5 Jul, 2024 @ 3:25pm
I'll think about making a patch that removes those when Jewelry is active, it could mess with other patches but there's probably a way around that if I can figure it out.
Meaty Ogre 5 Jul, 2024 @ 10:24am
Would you be willing to add a patch so that either your diamond/sapphire/ruby stones don't spawn, or Jewelry's don't? So that there's no overlap? Or alternatively make a version of this mod without them? Thanks for considering!

UPDATE: Added veinMineable to all the gems.
mikester112 31 May, 2024 @ 5:33am
Heads up, you might want to add <veinMineable>true</veinMineable> under the building node in your mineable defs to make the veins work with 1.5's new mine veins feature.
Kuratheris  [author] 7 May, 2024 @ 10:11pm
UPDATE:
--The patch for Kikohi's newer version of Jewelry should be working now, so you can make jewelry with these gems.
--1.4 and 1.5 versions of this mod are no longer compatible with the older version of Jewelry by Sarg Bjornson.
nannonb 7 May, 2024 @ 9:05am
Im not seeing the gems when i go to make jewelry, i have this mod and jewelry fully updated, am i missing another mod?

I am a gooseberry fool
Kuratheris  [author] 12 Oct, 2023 @ 2:33am
@UmbralApocryphas, are they available with the Mines 2.0 version of the Mines mod? Or do you need the regular version?
UmbralApocryphas 3 Oct, 2023 @ 7:14pm
any chance of getting a patch to make gems available with the mines mod?
MasterOfBacon 10 Sep, 2023 @ 10:44pm
Nice glad to see this mod still being updated ! :necroheart:
Kuratheris  [author] 7 Feb, 2023 @ 11:40am
UPDATE: Fixed a fatal error happening from having this mod, Glass+Lights, and Stuffable Core.
(Had to get rid of gem glass having their own internal categorization and make them use Glass+Lights', but everything seems to be working correctly.)
Lessïlera 7 Feb, 2023 @ 10:53am
I CAUGHT IT, took me the day but I finally found the culprit !

There is a crash when Extra Gems AND glass+light AND stuffable core are loaded together !

I would be happy to help you fix this incompability. My guess is that it is linked to the way the patch for Glass+Lights works

And you are right, it was just a typo for vanilla expanded.
Kuratheris  [author] 7 Feb, 2023 @ 8:26am
@Lessïlera, it seems to work fine for me, unless I have the wrong mods. Were you talking about Vanilla Expanded? Or is Vanilla Extended a different mod? And are you sure you have the Quality Expanded version for 1.4?
Kuratheris  [author] 6 Feb, 2023 @ 12:21pm
@Lessïlera, I can't find Stuffable Core or Mines 2.0. Could you post links to them?
Lessïlera 6 Feb, 2023 @ 10:48am
I'm having a strange bug with this mod. when I try to use it, rimworld tries to load, then reloads with all mods deactivated.
No crash log, no clues, nothing.
I'm using many mods but I think the problem may be caused by quality extended/quality framework, vanilla extended, stuffable core or mines 2.0.
Strangely, jewelry works well.

Is there any fatal mod incompatibility known ?
