Just noticed one issue. If option large HUD menu is disabled, right panel is empty for some stations (maybe also ships but noticed that only in stations).

I think most likely thing is, while your mouse was moving over to the details button, it moused over the right-hand column, which updated the details button into something un-selectable. It's "intended" behaviour, but I'll look into changing it, as it's clearly quite confusing behaviour.

I've seen issues where the details menu(Hotkeyed 4) would grey out when trying to hover over it with a mouse occasionally.

I've tested the Empty Zone thing today and the character limit on comments won't let me post details, so I've opened a thread about it.

Regarding xsalvation, I've got a fix that works on my end. Needless to say, it means the menu from this mod would override the one from xsalvation, but otherwise this mod would have no effect at all.

Johnny, could I ask what procedure you're using, exactly (step by step), to rename new zones, because all can make happen is (re)opening the map view. Either I have a mod conflict, or I'm just plain missing something.

Thanks, and glad it's working now. I'll take a look at xsalvation soon, and see if I can come up with a patch, as it'd be a shame for them to be mutually exclusive.

Excellent proposal - found it; installed the nexus 1.1 again and uninstalled xsalvation. Got the two columns back and your object menu works as expected. Removed the nexus versions and got the steam version again and this also works now. Thanks!!!

As long as you do have an ext_01.cat and an ext_01.dat in the Steam version, that's normal. These are special XR archive files that have all the folders packed inside, and you have to use these to put mods on the Workshop. The md/ folder is gone in both versions since 1.1, because these were only used to replace the vanilla menu, and I use a better method for that now.

This does mean other mods can include a ui/ folder packed in their .cat files - I won't ask you to start searching through the archives or anything, but it's worth checking if any mods describe themselves as having UI changes.

Hi Johnny, like your menu a lot and the version 1.0 works just fine. No other mod that adds an UI folder in the extensions. I noticed however that your Steam vers. 1.1 no longer had the assets, libraries, md and ui folder in the extension and that thenexus version 1.1 did not have the md folder while it still had assets. libraries and ui?

@stephan: I don't have any deep insight on the hanging problem, but it could be from a mod conflict. Do you have any other mods that make any UI alterations?

got the new version from Steam. Amusingly the steam update removed the folders that are in the older version and still present if installed from nexus. Both Steam and nexus version do not work for me though. Specifically most functions of the older version are no longer present and the ui hangs on hitting the detail button. I´ll reverted to the older version which works just fine.

Hi guys, I've got a new version to be released shortly, but I couldn't reproduce the bug with renaming Empty Space. Things to consider:

- The CV constructing a station isn't valid for this, so if you're making the first station in a zone, you might have to wait until the initial stage is built and you can access the station's object menu
- The "details" button is based off what column your mouse is over (which is not well communicated, my apologies), make sure the location is selected and the mouse is over the left-hand column.

Either way, the new version will not be save-game dependent.

Very useful...but please can you fix it so you can rename the empty space zones you have stations in....you cant disable the mod to do this as the save games are mod dependant.

Many thanks to you for making this excellent and much-needed mod! I can't imagine playing without it, now.

I don't suppose you could be enticed to persuade the trading menu into showing me what the hell a given ship is doing with its 5 or 7 steps, rather than having to back out to 2|2 and come back? It's really helpfull to know a ship can swing past and grab some 'chips on the way to wherever, rather than having to send a whole 'nother one. Even a "ship details" button or "show on map" would be better than the current method.

BTW (And I only picked up the game with the latest patch (4.3), so this may be down to Egosoft be baffling again): renaming a zone of empty space once you build a station appears not to be possible with this mod. As you just noted, I can't disable the mod and investigate further with vanilla. Am I'm just overlooking the method?

I will be able to remove save attachment soon, after changing how it replaces the vanilla menu. Apologies about the save games.

If you have any feedback about the design of the menu don't hesitate, I'd like to satisfy as many play-styles as possible.

Ah, I like what you've done with the property menu, and the way object menu has two button columns on the left :) I'll give it a try soon, but my graphics card died recently so I can't launch XR right now!
