Just replace the conveyors with tires and it will work

@Craig Thank you :) It is more of a roleplay purpose than functional, but it is relatively easy to make simple module switch station (like the landing gears in the facility) so you can use same truck to carry for example large grid ore detector to scout ores, and then switch the module to cargo container module.

This is an amazing build. I love it. I am fairly new to SE but I'm wondering how to practically use this in survival...specifically the modular cargo truck. Or is this more for a roleplay purpose?

Cool! It fit's really nicely there. Oh you meant generally shaping the ground in Carcosa Valley? It's all just done using the voxel hands. It takes some time getting used to, but all it really takes is some practice and experimentation :)

@AdorableKitteh Thank you! This factory will need some upgrading as some parts of it are broken at the moment (mainly the module printing) and the welding speed ain't adjusted to survival welding speeds (vehicles won't probably weld properly), but it's nice to hear you are still enjoying it :)

Do you know how to use the voxel hands in creative mode? You can use the "voxel box" with the following settings (press "H" while the voxel box is selected to change them): Width: 90, Height: 15, Depth: 90. Dig a hole by right clicking and then place the blueprint so that it covers the hole.

If you need more help, please ask. I'll do my best to help :)

@Dovahkiin Chaos Airlocks are also in my list of "what to fix". I didn't use scripts for those as at the time there wasn't one that worked perfectly.

@Dovahkiin Chaos Yeah they changed something with grinder range, so it doesn't work properly. Instead of tweaking that, I though I update the whole facility properly when I have time for it.

I did. It's very well made. You know, a few cargo containers here, a some cryos and a medbay there, and this would make a great base. And the vehichles are still well made. They stop pretty much on a dime, and I have not managed to flip one. I did encounter something wierd when I ran a Scarab Tactical into a boulder. Although pretty much non of the damage extended past the cockpit, the batteries on the bottom all broke, rendering the vehicle useless. It makes a great bit of scenery, though.

Well the large ship grinders seem to be acting so weird at the moment (the vehicle printing grinder also grinds the connection part too slowly causing all kinds of problems) that my guess is they are also bugged.

And as Keen has a history of changing grinder and welder radius all the time for no damn reason, I'm not going to change the whole system at the moment. Sorry about that :/ I hope you had fun at least exploring the facility :P

Any groups (like the vehicle jack pistons) are included in the first printed vehicle, but subsequent prints for some weird reason lack any groups. This is most likely a bug in the game itself and I can't do anything about it. I almost didn't publish this thanks to that bug and now that you reminded me, I really should make a bug report about it.

Printers are all controlled by timer blocks, and the module printer works in a similar way as the vehicle printer so you need to release the finished product first, before you can start another project. Sorry, I didn't expect this problem when I made it (Keen changing the grinder radius) and I'm probably going to change the system a bit, when I have time.

Neat. And yes, the module printer is bugged. It doesn't remove the conveyor tubes holding the module in place, so I have to do it manually.

Thank you :) I did spend quite some time creating it and it's still a bit work in progress. Also the module printer might need some fixing.

I always wanted to have this logistics system where I could use ground vehicles to transport standardized modules which could also be loaded into a ship (along with few vehicles) and transported to another planet.

I plan to release that ship with a variety of modules and few vehicles as kind of a colony starter kit.

This is my new favaorite building. The architecture is amazing. Literally nothing looks out of place. And the controls are so easy to use. Also, great view from the control rooms. Thank you so much for building this.

What blueprint is giving this problem? Do you have ground down there that might interfere?

Apparently they have changed how far grinder can grind (bug or intentional?) and as such module printing has some trouble as the grinder can't grind down the connection part. At the moment I'm not going to change that as I'm not sure if it's intentional change or jsut bug.

I have a problem. The blueprint keeps spawning on an angle and is snapping into a position that won't fit in the hole. How do I fix this?

Have you tried cutting a hole in the ground with voxel hands and then pasting it to cover the hole? Looking good! Can't wait to get to my gaming PC and test them :) I kind of like empty spaces in structures I build, there's always some kind of pointless maintenance room etc. that fits there :D

in its current state you can only unload and load only 1 truck at a time

Well that's some amazing dedication from you and your friend :) Future builds I plan to do, will be much more surivival friendly. I'm planning to do stuff like power plant, medical center, refinery, component printing facility, living modules, etc. I like the idea of building base with different facilities that serve one purpose each, a bit like RTS.
