If this is still meant for vanilla play, then to let you know the CPU is massively out of whack. AS IS.
Love the ship, just more work than I want to do for a download to not work.

Dear jrandall! I am new to Empyrion - Galactic Survival. I really like your work in the workshop of this game, especially the old versions of the ships, which are now not very suitable in terms of technical characteristics, but very good in design and convenience. The Military Survival Series is especially good.
Masterpieces such as Merc ships, Nomad-ST, Wayfarer-ST2, Aethon, Carrack-ILC are great for different levels of player development. I really liked the change of some of them for the Reforged Eden scenario. I'm just starting to play this scenario and want to use your Nomad-ST in my playthrough. Could you update this drawing for this scenario?

@jrandall I posted this before I saw how much work you put into rebuilding the MCRX 5. I could only imagine how much work you would have to do to update the Nomad, and I won't ask that of you. I'll look into those other CV's you mentioned. Thanks.

Is there any way to find a certain part in the ship? Looking at my CPU stats, it says I have 3 constructors, but I have no idea where the 3rd is. I have 2 adv in the hangar. I tried removing them both and replacing but it still says I have 3

Thank you very much Ravenshagh, Grizvold, and skshroyer! @Grizvold, Sounds very cool. I have found I pretty much remove all RCS when coverting to A11 CPU as well. If you ever want to publish it, let me know and I can add it as a modded version to this post above. @Ravenshagh, I been really trying to work on some new starter CV's as of late. Recently I released the MCRN-Pioneer and I am now working on a Kriel Starter CV. I am not sure if I wanted to get into redoing the Nomad's or not. It is a lot of work in some cases and I have found new designs built ground up for the new CPU and flight model tend to work out better as proper planning can be done for new parts like shields and getting thruster placement right for decent flying without the use of RCS. However modded A11 versions may appear on this post :) Thanks again all!

I just wanted to thank you for all the time you put in. I've always appreciated it, but after deciding to do a few modifications and repaint/texture in a different color scheme I realize the time you put in is enormous.

Yesterday I built it and optimized for alpha 11, CPU T2.
Installed a shield, turrets, container controller, WiFi. Equipped a full medical compartment, kitchen, captain's cabin. Replaced T2 fuel tanks with T3 tanks.
Unfortunately, I had to dismantle several trusters and almost all the RCS :)
But still it turned out very cool.

I love this ship as my starter CV. Any chance that it will be updated for A11 and shield capacity? The Wayfarer migh fill the same role, but I prefer this look. Thanks.

Thank you hankberube and CaptApollo! @CaptApollo, I don't believe so except the recent Wayfarer-ST. That ship is very similar in function to this one but has a bit more room as is less costly. This ship however has gun mount points that the Wayfarer does not and they look different, this one being a bit more exotic in shape. Thanks again!

The Normad was my first CV, its a fantastic build which you can customise as you progress in the game. it’s still my favourite ship despite several game restarts. Would be nice to have this in a combat steel variant, I think by the time you can afford the harder to get resources you’ve probably dropped a couple of poi’s to the ground and can afford sathium and the steel. I loaded it in creative to drop out the growing plots to let me load it a bit sooner in the game. Keep up the great work

This one is future proofed for A9. Just need to swap out some boxes, and make some simple changes. Base design is below CPU count.

Thanks Non_Sleeper and sirrichardjones! @sirrichardjones, hmm. I am not sure. It is not a very big CV in comparison to many others out there and should be able to spawn on a large enough landing pad with no problems. Althou I would recommend a landing pad that is larger than the ship by around 5 blocks or more in every direction. I try to spawn them a bit more above the pad actually as sometimes the game will keep showing red when spawning if you point it directly at a landing pad. I hope that helps and I know I have not made any landing pads myself yet. I will have to do some tests thou. This being a class two and pretty small should not need any special server settings to allow it spawn or get resticted by class size. Thanks again.

Get all the material from the blueprint of the Nomad-ST, but every time I try to create I can not do it. I made a giant base and I still can not create the ship. What kind of base do I have to have to create Nomad ?? Game on a multiplayer server.

Love this ship, and it's Bigger brother, they are my Go-To ships when i need something and don't want to design my own, very nice work, HUGE hangers, very nice, I usually add a few fuel cells, 4 pop up turrets for defence and a multi and drill module and you will never need anything else, start with this one then move to the xt when you can, salvaging this one for parts to speed the build on the XT!!

@ILLIJA, I gain influence from lots of things. But this ship was based on a much earlier design I made called the Nebula MK3 and MK4 models. Also, if you visit my workshop, in the screen shots tab, there are some making of the ship pictures as well as the XT version. So, it is original, but I would not doubt it looks like something else in existence somewhere. Thanks again.

Since I a long way off getting the Nemesis again, I decided to get this one :) - Made a few alterations to it so it sorta halfway between the ST and XT (Armored all over, moved food processor and fridges up to growing room (took out 6 grow plots) Rearranged items in the hanger so I could increase the size of the 2 side landing pads, also took out 1 constructor) works great :) - Thank you again for making such great ships...

Thanks Fenris and PoppaSmirk :) @ PoppaSmirk, I wasn't a fan of the grow plot setup much either. It worked but I wanted a straight path thru the farm to the cockpit however the space available allowed me to get more in doing it the way I did. With the more expensive XT version however I made some body changes to allow for more farm plots + a straight path thru them. But, the ship is quite a lot more expensive. Thanks again.

4 Mini Turrets, and 4 Cannon serve as main armament, with 3 Sentry guns aligned along the underbelly. Finishing her up now with hardened glass at cockpit and hardened steel gradually working from front to back, with two added RCS T2 units to give a quicker turn ratio. Last touch was a name change, to make her unique, from Nomad ST, to the RA Valor. Thanks for such a great design.

Enjoying this CV, and made it my first in Alpha 8.2 I have slowly modified the vessel a bit to personalise it. Removed the center row of growplots for a straight pathway to the Bridge/Cockpit. 2 Passenger seats in the Cockpit as well. I shifted some things in hthe Hangar to establish a Crew Area around the Fridges/ Food processor, with 6 beds , a shower and bathroom, as well as two tables for dining. Removed 4 cargo boxes and shifted the warp tank to what felt a more specialised location. Radar dish on top was moved, and a drill turret added to give a broader array of functionality, ( and added 1 Harvest cargo box back in the Hangar).

NVM about the landing pad thing, I'm an Empyrion newb. I thought CVs needed to dock to use a repair bay. I didn't realize CVs can't dock :D

Nice CV! I also have your Far Point Station base, so was surprised to see the hangar on a ship this size could hold so much more than a base. Probably old news to most here, but I'm new to Empyrion so it was nice to see I could fit my 3 small HVs in the hangar and probably 3 more if I wanted. And the MX5E fits nicely on the SV landing pad on the top.

I am curious about the landing pads though. I know you said you ware going to address the issue, but is it a simple fix I can do or is it more serious? I tried removing and replacing them, but that didn't work. It's not a huge deal since I don't plan on taking this ship into combat, just curious.

The exterior and interior texture/color work still needs some poilishing, but I'll update weekly until it's pretty enough. This version has 18 designated turret hardpoints around the exterior, hardened steel in most all of the outer shell, and vent/louvre covers for all the thrusters. Meant to be a reasonable-sized, well-armed endgame mobile base, and of course, based on jrandall's brilliant design.

I absolutely love this CV and plan to keep upgrading it as I go. I love the open floor plan and simplicity of movement to pilot seat; minimum fluff, all work, and plenty of possibility. Thank you!

I've created a hardened version that's not supersized like the XT, and will post two versions here when I have them polished. They each have mostly hard steel, and ten large (3x3) turret hardpoints, as well as 6 spots for recommended 7.67 turrets. One will be fleshed out with suggested turrets, and one will not. I'll back-link to you/here of course. :-)(

I think this is the best overall designed CV I've seen here, period. There are some things I would change about the inside layout, but therre's SO much room, it's EASY to move things. My only request would be a hardened version. I know you have a larger version wtih hard/combat steel, but I feel this is an ideal size, and that an almost identical version with mounts for turrets on the thruster pods, and a hardened steel shell would be pretty much ideal.

Ah sorry about that relativly new to the game and did not see that. had to install the t2 constructor to make the steel plots and thought the concrete worked for cvs, my bad.

For some reason the rear door stopped opening and closing automaticly on my mp server. i tried fixing it but nothing seems to work. i think its a bug but ill run you through how its setup. door and ramp are set to open/close rear door, follow, ramps inverted, motion sensor tx singal named rear door and blank, area size hasn't changed.
