AI diplomacy is strange
Even though they are weak, they always go to war first.
Next turn, make a peace agreement and give money. :steamfacepalm:

why is it every AI mod for Rome 2 thinks it's a good idea to have the ai mindlessly attack you.... i'm trying to have a game where i'm not bogged down by fucking Cimmeria and Syracuse and Massalia as Macedon for no reason whatsoever. that is not good ai, idk what you're thinking

everyone declares war on everyone the map becomes a mess within 10-20 turns you end up facing few factions throughout campaign as half the map is dead

does the ai get bonuses? when playing on very hard or legendary if so can you showa mod that does not give the ai bonuses but is playable on very hard or legendary? :steamthis:

Broken mod, AI do braindead stuff in dimplomacy.
For example, while you skip the turn AI declares war on you, then on your turn you offer peace back to them and they'll accept it with high rate, usually you can even take money for that from 1k to 3k.

Everything good until i see "AI is less afraid to attack major factions", that thing make the campaing feel weird, at the early campaing, Carthage destroyed by Syracuse, i jsut want to feel the punic war jsut to know it already destroyed by Syracuse

Just in normal mod, I was declared war 5 times in a row in one turn. I havent't noticed any change in the recruitement. IA is just more agressive, not more clever. I do like your mods, not this one. Still searching for a mod that improves recruitement for the IA.

Any chance you can make a version where the AI doesn't recruit a bunch of artillery? Kind of kills the fun mid/late game when every AI army has 2 heavy onagets

Hello gamers/modders

i'm currently more and more getting bored in the vanilla campaign, which i liked so far, but only if the AI would attack my walled cities this would be great, all they do is sending spy after spy to sabotage. An attack on a walled city just never happens. i tried the a more agressive AI of different modders, and an ultra agressive AI, it does just not change, a walled city of mine with a legion in it is never attacked by the AI, a garisson setlement sometimes. If only a modder could make a vanillamod where your walled settlements are being constantly attacked and you could defend it from the walls, that would be great. I dont know wether i should try DEI , radious, or war of the gods on higher difficulty to get this kind of gameplay, if it would change i don't know.
does anyone feel the same dissapointment? that this should be different? Let me know if someone of you has found a solution to this issue.

i think cost reduction for ai legendary is not working.
there is no more than 20%~25% difference in unit upkeep compared to my units.
is it properly working for me?

I'm playing rise of the republic with this mod and idk if this mod works fine cause greeks make army with 10 cavalry 4 hoplites and 6 missile infantry XD

yes, certainly makes ai more aggressive in DEI (aka minor factions are less scared of declaring war and attacking you (imperium lvl 6 in my playthrough atm), not sure about cai recruitment/construction priorities since dei changes that as well, but overall it seems to work fine and makes mid and late campaign more interesting

also added this mod mid campaign with no issues

This mod is amazing, game is actually a challenge now on very hard. i got a arverni iceni alliance attacked me with gold shield and weapon upgrade with top tier troops im shitting myself xD. playing as Suebi btw

Good mod, is it compatible with Divide et Impera? I just wanted to play this mod so that AI don't buy all proyectile units for their armies. :)

Amazing mod. One note tho - diplomacy is impossible with this mod. Constant betrayals and war declarations happening. And none want to peace out even on the bring of destruction. I like the challenge but with this mod some factions are unplayable on VH difficulty (Iceni for instance, by turn 5 or so you'll be at war with every known faction to you and they'll constantly sail invasion forces to your lands).

I confirmed that this mod was the cause of opponent nations not building agents. As soon as I disabled it they started using them again.

I can attest that this mod works, as I was shocked on my rome VH/VH campaign to fight 5-6 units of Chosen Swordsmen in Arverni stacks. I would say its still possible to win with Principes Triarii stacks though.

The only small criticisms of the things I have noticed are the tendency for the AI to sometimes randomly declare war on you (for example Iceni declared on me even though i was barely in south France as Rome, and artificial food buffs to the AI, which prevent the zeal skill path on spies from being very useful.

The diplomacy can be a bit challenging, but as you blob becomes manageable to easy. The AI definitely manages to build empires of 5-6+ provinces.

If one wishes an even hardcore experience I would suggest the Rome II Community Patch. Would recommend this mod as a 9/10.

I found a possible bug in this mod: breaking an alliance/client state doesn't work whenever I decline to join my ally in war. Are you working on this mod anymore?

This mod did improve my experience by a lot, now I'm scared of fighting new factions instead of just steamrolling all over them, the only problem is that I receive a lot of war declarations that they will instantly finish when I make a peace treaty the very next turn, its a little bit annoying, But currently I'm at turn 45 of a campaign and damm... the map did change colors a lot.
