I’m a little bit stuck at avenger assault mission because game doesn’t let me pick soldiers for the 2 squad but your mod fix that problem

The original mission definition has a 5 soldiers max set for the two squads so going above that won't be reflected in this mod either because it is actually using that number instead of whatever squad size you have in normal missions. Change SquadSizeOverride in the config if you need higher numbers.

Yes, you do. I increased mine beyond 10 a bit since they're just running down the ramp instead of boarding the Skyranger.

So the mod works in that the two squads of 5 are now 1 squad of ten. However, Using the robojumper mod that allows the user to increase the squad size, this mod does not detect the change. Do I have to go into the .ini file to change this?

Is this compatible with Covert Infiltration? For me it seems to now be giving me just a single squad size of 6. Which isnt great...

How are the reinforcements useless? Do they just stand there? Are you using RPGO? If yes then that's a known and unfixed RPGO bug. Maybe the Highlander [github.com] will fix it in time.

I wanted to use this to work around the bug in which reinforcements in avenger defense are useless. It didn't work for me. I still got only 6 starting soldiers on Commander difficulty. Any suggestions?

perhaps I did something wrong, but whilie using this mod when I got to this mission I was only given 1 team of 6. I didn't realize it until too late and it ended my Legendary Ironman run. RIP

Okay. That is weird! As I said it happened to me for my Proximity Mine mod, so I remade the image and used the 'edit item' option of RJAML and it fixed the image.

This is solely for the new defense.
I use only the alternative uploader but for some reason steam just didn't want to accept an image for this mod.

As far as i know there are no other mission types that let you start with multiple squads apart from 'lost and abandoned', and there it makes sense to split the teams during setup since they start away from each other.

Does this, or can this, also work for the normal Avenger Defense? Or maybe ANY multiple squad style missions ?

Also try out Robojumpers Alternative Mod Uploader to fix your preview image.. I've the same thing before and RJAML let me fix it by selecting a new image :)

Such an amazing mod! my computer always froze whenever i launch Avenger Defense mission because i subscribed to tons of mods, and i don't know which one caused it, but somehow this mod fixed it for me, thank you very much!

Started a very vanilla game with nothing but Squad Select, MCM and this, and it isn't working for me. Spawned a defense mission with console commands just after Gatecrasher.

Doesn't seem to be working for me. I use robo's Squad Select with the minimum raised to 6, I currently have the first squad upgrade so should at least have 7 troop slots but for the defense mission it's stuck back at 6. Robo's Change View button isn't appearing either so it seems like something is forcing the game to treat the Avenger Defense in a very vanilla way (unable to view the higher angle shown in the screenshot above). Squad Select works fine for other missions.

Could something like Open Squad Select At Any Time be interfering? Are there any known conflicts that just haven't been mentioned in the description?

This mod doesn't change anything related to the user interaction. It edits basically one variable which says "this missions allows this many people on it".

Your best bet would be probably to report it on robo's squad select

To clarify. I'm assuming cause and effect there. I can't rotate the trooper display, I'm assuming I've identified the right reason.

Does that stack up? Would a save help?

Hey Astral Descend.

There seems to be an issue when running this with "More Squad Size Upgrades"

To allow that mod to affect squad sizes I've set bDontTouchSquadSize=true in robojumper's Squad Select's XComGame.ini

Upshot appears to be that whilst a full 10 person squad is shown, I can't rotate the soldiers and so edit the extra ones.

Okay, just as I thought then. New avenger defense mission ignores the global squad size setting and uses it's own value. If you want I can add a manual override (of squad size) to this mod

I use the mod Robojumper squad select mod and edit the number of soldier to 12+2 from the GTS( and the larger spawn zone mod to be able to do so)

Usu my squad comprise of 1 soldier from each class witch is 13 + 1 Spark from thes mod
1x leader k class
1x spark
3x from proficiency class perk
9x LW2 class and perk

I'm not sure what you mean... Can you clarify something? How do you plan on getting 14 people on that mission? Did you use some mod that modifies your squad size?

Yes, but this mission overrides the global squad size so you will still get only 10 soldiers unless you modified this mission specifically

Double agent and resistance army bonuses are disabled on both types of base defense and a number of other scripted missions

Not in the same way, no, since the old one uses xcom reinforcements mechanic
