MrMyagi,
Love your maps, would you consider creating a map of Yerevan or Tbilisi? These are great cities situated in Caucasian region with very beautiful landscape

Ah yes, I think we are all getting that pattern from Textures.com (free, unlicensed textures) :D but what you will find is a great variation in hue, brightness and saturation. It takes an absurd amount of time trying to get a texture to look good, because the game's default lighting and saturation levels are.. well... WAY too bright and yellow. So yes, that is what makes things nearly impossible to match. Hmm, making a matching sand decal to my beach. I never thought of that! Shall I take your idea? :steammocking: lol :steamhappy:

It wasn't that bad lol. I try to use this one, but the issue usually is that the color doesn't match and it has the usual issues that a decal has. Somewhere there is also a larger version. It doesn't have that whiteness that many Map builders use in there styles.

What sand texture is that, cause it's awful and I'm gonna go fix it LOL. Well, I'm glad you like it. I think I can do much better now, but you keep it a secret if you want lol. Here is my new map theme's sand texture, you can see it clearly on the right under the umbrellas. Not totally realistic scale, but better than that older one https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/MrMiyagiCS/screenshot/956355548732999109

Hey Detail, regarding your initial problem, I just found a mod that will help you with figuring out what each building is demanding. It gives a pie chart to all services required by a building, meaning it could give you the clue as to what to pay attention to in order to get more workers, residents, etc.. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1556715327

Oh darn. Well at least I was able to help you check map problems off the list. I wish I knew more but hope you find an answer.

MrMiyagi, TY. That is an excellent guide and I have read it many times. I do play industries and as I said normally I don't see these types of issues. I was just looking to rule out anything map wise which I agree should not be an issue. Having a lot of fun with the map, excellent design as usual
MrMiyagi  [author] 8 Feb, 2019 @ 8:44am
Hope that helps you out.
Oh, lol it would help if I actually gave you the link to the industries guide :steamfacepalm: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1550292479

Hi Detail. Well, it's definitely impossible for a map to do that, a map is just a blueprint "this tree goes here, that highway goes here" etc. But I'm happy to try to help. Are you using Industries DLC? Because if yes, here is a helpful guide by Avanya. I still have yet to master it myself. And then in general game terms (no DLC), every now and then I face annoying difficulties like "not enough raw materials" and amounts of workers issues. I usually like to have my cities running like smooth oiled machines, but I've found this game tends to keep you engaged by always having something to do.
Anyhow, since your traffic is just fine, that eliminates most of the possible problems. One thing you can try is to make sure that all your residents have all the services possible at top quality. Often that's the key to continuing growth in industries and commercial.

Having lots of issues on this map with demand, raw materials and workers. The normal things you do to resolve these problems don't seem to work especially getting raw materials. Roads aren't congested, but trucks just won't deliver. I even tried unlimited ore and oil to see if that made any difference.

Awesome! I hate to disappoint but I think I improved on the real life traffic situation in this map, however on the plus side, the game's endless streams of cruise ships will finally look realistic! :D

Hi 09TunaFish, looking very nice :) That's such a beautiful location to build a city, right?
A tip - I would use the smooth tool, looks like this symbol ~ , to soften your shorelines. Best to do that while map editor is paused. It will make the water slosh all over the place, but after you shape them, just let it run on fast and the waves will go back to normal.
The result is that you will have really nice smooth shorelines (except if you want cliffs, of course :D ) Happy mapping! :steamhappy: :chirp:
