Thank you for maintaining this mod until now.
Though from both a game play mechanics balance, and semi realism; I would prefer if it was not possible to initially encourage growth without the 1k upfront investment. Imagine food aid in a famine crisis, where a truck turns up to a village of a few thousand with a single 10kg sack of grain. "Don't worry more is on the way, we got you covered" as they turn away and shrug, thinking reserves are tight.
I haven't looked at the implementation, but it would be nice if once the normal 1k is supplied, then the option to maintain growth with the 8.3 food usage per month is available at any time before it runs out.
a) Start game balance isn't effected compared to the default game mechanics
b) Convenience is still implemented
