A colorful and enjoyable addition to Civ 5 gameplay. TU for this mod BlouBlou. UR2B sincerely commended for bringing this and your similar mods to practical application.

Ah, I see it now, thanks. I wasn't aware of all the DLC for sale.

@ijiwaru

You need polynesia DLC for this one, as said in the mod description
ijiwaru 12 Jul, 2014 @ 10:21am
Do you mean BNW or something else? I have GNK and BNW.
BlouBlou  [author] 12 Jul, 2014 @ 7:20am
@ijiwaru

Check the compatibility section, do you have the Polynesia DLC?
ijiwaru 11 Jul, 2014 @ 5:32pm
I can get your Polder and Casbah mod to work, but your Moai and Terrace Farm will not. Any thoughts?

@Dark

Correct, thats 2 different things

So although every civ can build the moai, only polynesia gets the +10% combat bonus if within 2 tiles of a moai (because of it's UA)?

@Choo

I understand your worries but i usually think a LOT about balance when releasing a mod, its always my primary concern and i tested this one and i think its balanced, its less powerful than some other UB, just check the arabian market unique effect. Also you usually only work the sea tiles that has a ressource on it, especially now that they dont give gold anymore.

Also this bonus is limited to coastal cities unlike other UB.

Finally the +1 happiness is a +1 "Local" happiness wich is much less powerful since it wont give happiness if the city population is too low vs other happiness building.

The Moai is a big part of the civ, the huge culture loss had to be compensated with something flavored and not too weak, while staying balanced, i think that does it.

Regards

I like the concept, but I worry that the building might be too powerful. A combination of +1 happiness and +1 from coast tiles is quite good. Perhaps consider adjusting it such that it has either +2 happiness OR the +1 from coast tiles? Just a thought. :)

This looks awesome, the new building works perfectly with that civ. The buff they needed.
BlouBlou  [author] 21 Jul, 2013 @ 8:18am
@Mr_Rose

Having Moai stax like road would make it way too powerful, remember they get gold bonus too when fligth is researched.
Mr_Rose 21 Jul, 2013 @ 8:11am
Would it be possible to make the moai "stackable" with other improvements in the way roads are?
As in, having a set of moai around a tile edge and a farm or something in the middle, maybe with a road going through too...
