Here is 3dx max playing an animation that my program has extracted from Rome2:

I have finally gotten animations OUT of Total War games, so people can edit them and put them back in the game My program RigidModel Editor 1.0, that can do those things will be released as soon as correct the last few bugs. It can do lots of thingd, including drawing the models with textures, lighting normal mapping, so they look like in-game.

You have to switch the vanilla Campaign Cam mod off, when you use this, because the vanille one can change the behaviour of DeI in a bad way. That is why is made a special mode for DeI.

Updated camera mods, adjusted battle camera and fixed campaign camera


The campaign camera mod has been updated so it works without any issues for the following campaigns:

- Grand Campaign
- Imperator Augustus
- Cæsar in Gaul
- Empire Divided
- Rise of The Republic

The battle mod camera mod has adjusted so the the movement and rotation speed fits better with the longer range, and min/max height is also slightly adjusted.

Shield Mod
As for the shield mod, here is a good screenshot of it:

But I think I should finish a few more shield patterns before I release a beta version, many are the same right now, this is no variation.
I have to make at first 22 patterns for the Augustan/Cæsarian legionaries, this is a pattern I made for the mod:

Such graphics take time to create. But I am getting there. I will release it very shortly.

karoten2 /@everyone : There are mods that make all MINOR (not provincial capital+no walls) into field battled, I play with one them switched on all the time as I hate city battles:

Try one of them, then only actual sieges will be city battles.

I consider it as big problem in RII, in many provinces we have only city battles due to short distance between the cities, both Shogun II and Warhammer are better designed in my view.

@phazer after i tried your mod, I though, if you could change the city models, that is possibbe to "turn off expanding the cities" when the new building slot is added. Perhaps it does not look so cool, but this would be very important mod for gameplay.

...and yes upload the shield mod!

@everyone: Demo picture of my new shield mod, many shields are not done so there is a lot of "repeating" going on. (much more variation in finished version)

But it actually RUNS now, so I COULD upload it as beta maybe...?

@phazer, @karoten2 meant that the city model becomes extremely huge when it upgrades, if it is possible for you to make the models smaller or standard, without the upgraded models so the cities won't look too close to each other on the Campaign Map! :-)

I wannt to ask a side question - if You could do this, would be technically possible to make mod, when the cities, when you add adittional building slot, do not expand themself on campaign map? because in RII cities are too big and close to eachother

mfo59: Yes it works, with Dei, but it might not work with War of Gods, as they already have old city mod with all 3 types included, I can make it work by calling this mod a a different filename (like "@@@@@new_bar_city"; but then I new to start a mod thread. I can do that, if it is important to your that is works in War of The Godd

Do you want a sort of discrete (not as bright orange as greco-roman tile roof) but still a roof with tiles? There are only 4-5 textures to describe all Barbarian cities, so they have do very different to make the cities look fancy.

Crimson Sky Dux, yes, Rome2 campaign map and battla map cities could really be upgraded with those textures. When I made my HD Cities, I had to work hard to make my textures fit and look good. The textures in Thrones are already worked and ready to be used.

Crimson Sky Dux: Yes, I have, the Thrones files are full of awesome textures, including some very roman looking ones, I could change the greco-roman cities using the textures from Thrones, then those cities will fit better into fx empire divide, which is LATE in Roman history.
