Thanks Jordan. I know about next2 going end of life and BBB video has been a good catalyst to take action. I don't have any plans to revisit my maps, but also not ruling it out either. Life a bit busy for me right now, hence not having seen any new maps for a while, but I will have a think about it and if I find some time... maybe.

If you have time would you consider uploading a version that doesn’t need next but uses the next2 similar roads from the workshop? The map looks great and the I love the rail and roads running right by the dam in the pictures. It’s best to avoid the next 2 mod now as most modders aren’t working round it anymore? This as just advice from bobonb YouTube video.

The city is not becoming populated. All entrance and exit roads checked, including rail. Transport connections checked, connections to the city checked. Not even a single resident.

Well, I have removed all of my station-assets for now, but unfortunatly the problem stayed. Indeed these sunke stations are nice, but also the station-assets by Bad Peanut are now gone from my list. Still no good load, so no solution yet...I now noticed by the way that the Japanese monster map also had trouble. It's like I said...The roads on some parts are missing but the lampposts are still standing. The problem is that it is only happening with two lane highway or National 2 lane roadf. I think both are from Network Extemsions 2. Wich one of the two did you use ? I will unsubsribe and subsribe to NE2 (and also TMPE) to make sure...but I have all the roads selected in NE2...I keep you posted.

Bouteillier Sunken Station [no mods required] was the one that cause me troubles, such a shame because it is such a nice asset, although 1,000's of other subscribers have no problems, so must just be a conflict on my computer.

By sub-surface you mean an underground station I guess. Well, I have a few station assets, but they seem to work fine on other maps. Just minutes ago I opened up your Japanse map. I downloaded all the needed assets and it turned out that complete roadparts were missing, the lamp posts were still standing in the right spot, but all of the quarries were gone as well. Now I have opened up Reynolds Harbour and everything seems fine with that map...I unsubsribed to every single asset and mod since I downloaded Reynolds Harbour and check again. I don't have any underground stations, only the sunken train and tramstation. Wish me luck :steamhappy: I get back to you...

Hi EmperorDarthSidious, I came across a similar problem on a city build a long time ago, turned out to be a custom sub-surface railway station asset causing the issue that time for me. D3DNS1D3 had the same problem as you recently, he seemed to think it was something to do with the 81 tile mod. Sorry I can't be more helpful then that, I'm by no means an expert and still learning, that was actually the point of this map, a chance to try some things out. It turned out to be a stepping stone to Reynolds Harbour which was a far better vanilla map (as reflected by the subscribers) and also inspired recently released Bobs Crack.

Love this map and when I saw your other map I commented on earlier today I would like thos one as well. I already have the required mod and I also dowloaded the unlimited tree mod for this one...However during startup I already get an error in the loading screen mod as a failed simulation. The game then starts and then I see what you see in the screenshot...I didn't have that in your other maps. Could you say what it is ? I also het that object error at the start with no details several times...

Top map in my all time top 5 :highrise:

Thanks! I think its conflicting with the 81 tiles mod
wellington6012  [author] 28 Aug, 2019 @ 2:33am
Hi D3DNS1D3. I just tried it and it was easy enough using the '81 tile mod' to get to the edge of the map and 'move it' to select, then delete the dam. Haven't been able to make your livestreams as I'm in a different hemisphere and timezone, probably your tomorrow, but have watched the first couple of videos after upload. Nice city you are creating and really interesting to see how someone else plays my map.
SospacedouT 26 Aug, 2019 @ 6:20pm
is there a way to delete the dam in the back? the little one?

I know how much energy, time, dedication, and love go into making a map - and your map really shows it.
wellington6012  [author] 26 Aug, 2019 @ 2:46am
Thanks Hendrik, always too kind with your comments, greatly appreciated. I thought this one might get superseded into map oblivion by Reynolds Harbour, as they are quite similar, but BBB review will keep it alive for a while yet. Where would we be without BBB?!

Thanks djoe, I spent a bit of time on the intersections and was a experimental map from that point of view, happy with how they came out. Just putting finishing touches on my next map which has some simplistically complicated beautifully ugly intersections.

Hi wellington, and everyone reading this: this map was reviewed by BonBonB on youtube in his What Map video.
This IS a good map --- play it please ... watch the video, because it really shows just how great this map is .... you can really build very good cites on this, because the map gives you everything you need, and this map looks good too. I LOVE LOVE LOVE what you did with the dam ...

I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did!. And - I am sure you will love playing this map :-)

Man, I'm lost for words... Those intersections... Nothing less then a piece of art!
It's almost a shame to build on it :-D

Hi D3DNS1D3. Replied to you in BBB comments, but will say it again. If you choose to use this map, that would be fantastic and something I'd really look forward to watching to see what ideas others use to enhance the foundation I created. Hopefully the shipping route gap is fixed, let me know if it hasn't updated properly.

Hi Overload. My previous map had been heavy on requirements, so it was a creative decision to stay as close to vanilla as possible for this one. That said, I fully intend rebooting my first map, so maybe this one could be in line for that too. Currently working on a map with similar theme to certain aspects contained in this one, still a few weeks away from publishing.
Overlord 2 Aug, 2019 @ 8:05am
Please revisit this map and use about 10 types of workshop trees and rocks. This map deserves that or at least use some 2k or 4K theme - it is 2019!
SospacedouT 1 Aug, 2019 @ 6:12pm
this map has got to be one of the best maps on the workshop or in vanilla. it's like you've taken all of the frustrating parts. really amazing! will be my next series

Beautiful map! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the pre-built industrial area on the water with the train connections. Love the highway system. Love everything!

Awesome map! :steamhappy:

Interesting/beautiful map. Couldn't deal with the extremely wacky starting intersection though, spent an hour deleting and redesigning it.
