2. It`s just an entrance. When you remove milk bottle`s cap, milk removed too? After destroying entrance, rats must be left in the sewers.
A few years a go original dev has appeared: updated game for Hd resolution, improved networking(you need to enable Beta 2) and added official mod support/workshop.

Rat King is now more powerful and gives more experience every time when sewer is destroyed

In order to win the game it's necessary to destroy every lair. Sewer entrances are considered by the mod as lairs.
Where is the fun, then? I mean if you took some difficulty away, you should balance it.
I know, I've already got waay more than one can ask. But shouldn't this new shiny feature be an easteregg? An Easter Egg, E-ast-er E-gg! The shiny looking thing you open up and unveil some secrets.
I mean, playing first time, you don't know that The Fortress of Ixmil would spawn a horde of rock giants if you won't hurry up to destroy it. There may be some warning after 3rd sewer. Because who reads those boring messages developers spent so much time to write down. ;)
Just updated the mod.
Each destroyed sewer increases the number of Ratman, Ratman-Champions, Ratman-shamans, which spawns after the destruction of the sewer. After 5 destructions sewer will spawn Rhoden King Rat.

But if one would install them - he'd turn into a casul.
I have a nice idea about destroyable sewers to share. How about you'd start getting warnings while dismantle them, rat champions spawn. And after 5th or 7th entrance destroyed, you get mass invasion with a rat king in charge?
