I have made some mods to your work in order to make it CPU-ready at T3 and have included a living quarter with shower and closet (shower is needed in radiated environments). Also made a upgradable teleporter location with sensor (updated your Legend LCD screen).
You can take a look here and tell me wether you like it:

Your Farpoint station was already great, this one is ideal if you want even more construction processes all in one base without the need to attach further separate modules. It's surprisingly low in blueprint cost, congrats!

I'm curious how you got the raised texture as a screen frame on the block behind your switch LCD's. I added a switched teleporter, but I can't match the style of your switch indicator LCD's.

I added FoeKilla's updated version of this to my scenario with credit to you both. Thank you!

Thank you rynkk and FoeKilla! @Rynkk, just above there is a 12 modded version by FoeKilla. I haven't yet gotten around to look at what this base needs via CPU tier blocks. I would guess adding 2 CPU tier 3 blocks would make it work right again. Besides having a teleporter available in A12 and adding CPU tier blocks, I don't think it would need any other changes, but again I can't say for sure. Thanks again all!

At the risk of stepping out of bounds, you can find an Alpha 12 version at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2141030590

Im curious if this base (and most of your other projects) are compatible with A12 considering they havent been updated for half a year?
jrandall  [author] 27 Jun, 2020 @ 9:57am
Thank you FoeKilla! Very cool. I will get it added and take a look. Thanks again!
FoeKilla 24 Jun, 2020 @ 8:18pm
Well, I've done it again. I spent about 8 hours going over this base to make it affordable, CPU compliant and ready to rock at tier 2, while staying at level 10. I'd be flattered if you'd take a look and give me some feedback. If you like what you see, feel free to add it as a modded version.
Thanks! https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2141030590

Very well designed and very good upgradable.Definitely a good choice for early und later midgame. I really love the upgrade instructions and letters. Well done, thx for sharing!

Thank you Diemex.PP! This one is a big boxy looking but I tried to make it work well for game play and have defense against the newer AI attacks. Thank you again!
Diemex 8 Oct, 2019 @ 6:20pm
I love this base. It's loaded, unlocks early and the upgrade spots clearly laid out makes it so easy to upgrade into a later game base. Thanks for this !

Thank you yoshi, aeolwind, and Pax! @Pax, all of the base I made were tested with structural integrity on the ground. The two that could have problems if some supports are not touching the ground is the Waypoint Hangar and Foundation-XL. On the Foundation XL, all though the supports are spaced close enough together to not collapse, however I have heard that it can collapse anyway once a block is changes. I would make sure after spawning that the ground is touching on all lower supports before placing any blocks or making changes. The waypoint hangar pushes structural integrity to the max limits so that one needs special attention. As in this base, it is smaller and should not have issues with it collapsing unless areas of the bottom are floating above the ground. Most of the bases were started on the ground, but many times moved to space well working on them and building the bottom area out. I hope that helps. Thanks again!
PaX 25 Sep, 2019 @ 7:07am
was this built in space or on a planet. Last time i used one of your bases it fell apart when i added a land claim to my area.

@jbrown fly to the poles, you can sleep every minute

I am convinced. Thank you for always great design :)
jrandall  [author] 21 Aug, 2019 @ 6:00am
Thank you plc.reboot, jbrown, and yoshi! @yoshi, Let me explain why 2 of the grow plots are concrete vs the rest are wood. I believe the wood ones to be a bit cheaper, however wood only has a certain textures that can be used. 2 of the grow plots went out into the a visible area in the base and the wood textures just didn't work, so I made 2 of them concrete so I could get them to look right in the base. It is not broken and done for that reason. I guess I don't like having the two types of grow plots myself and maybe I should have just made them all concrete but I was trying to save a bit of resources and use cheap wood where ever I could. Thanks again!
yoshi_SUPER DRY 20 Aug, 2019 @ 8:32pm
Isn't the "growing plot" fixed? Concrete and wood are mixed.
jbrown 3 Aug, 2019 @ 10:08pm
Since I'm playing PVE I made a little personal balcony where you intended the Offline Protection to go ;-). Put the bed there. I actually use the bed a lot, since it's a way to shortcut blueprint build times and speed up resource auto miners/construction. You get "credit" for the sleep time as if you'd been awake. Takes about 30 minutes off of construction of a blueprint, and an equal amount of time off other construction, and in adding to auto miners progress. On long blueprints I've actually flown my CV around the planet, chasing dusk, sleep through the night, then fly to the next dusk, rinse and repeat. A 10 hour blueprint takes less than an hour. So, like having a bed in all bases and CVs. Wish you could put them in SVs.
plc.reboot 3 Aug, 2019 @ 8:18pm
jrandall, thanks for the reply. I found the LCD screens. Never would have thought to look for them there. Before I caused too much damage, though, I realized that I could edit them from the 'control panel' under 'devices', so that's what I did. It wasn't a big change - I just wanted the label to specify the purpose of the constructor (general, ammo, fuel) so I could have them set to the proper input/output locations without grief. Anyway, great base. I'm enjoying it.
jrandall  [author] 3 Aug, 2019 @ 3:45pm
Thank you plc.reboot. I guess on the bed, I just didn't find a place to get that in there not looking out of place. On the LCD's, they are hidden a couple blocks above where you see the projections. I used a size command in the the text in combination of adjusting the text size itself. If you can find the LCD's, you can see what is going on with the text to create that effect. However, it is really wonky and takes some trial and error. Thanks again!
plc.reboot 3 Aug, 2019 @ 12:48pm
I spawned a ton of bases in creative mode, and chose this one. I do, however, have one question... why no bed? I get annoyed when the 'personal area' takes up half the base, but I was surprised to find no bed at all. I added a bed and closet outside of the farm door, and that's fine for me, I was just surprised.
Also, how did you get those 'hanging letters' in front of the constructors? I'm trying to change them to have different symbols and I'm having zero luck.
jrandall  [author] 1 Aug, 2019 @ 6:01am
Thank you very jbrown!

Love this design. I'm heavily vested in a custom base on my home planet, now with thousands more cement after adding a landing zone large enough for the Perses ;-). But looking for an outpost planet to put this on. LOVE how clean it is. Super efficient and yet not boring at all.

Say, I've been playing with a sort of auto light system to help land CVs, telling you how close to the ground, and how close to optimum landing location. Any idea where the sensors key off of? Is it center of mass? It's not the pilot. But it's farther back than the pilot in the Wayfarer, but not middle of the model. I'll keep exploring. It's a series of lights on a tower that tell the pilot where he is in the landing zone, and when to touch down. If it ever works.

Thanks Valkerion™ :)

It's alright, I retrofitted the waypoint outpost for my first base anyways, and at a really great price! and will be looking to expand to some more parts of your series. I always appreciate people like you in these sorts of games that make a nice themed catalog of ships and such to use for gameplay, makes for a proper experience! Otherwise most of the workshop tends to be a lot of endgame only stuff, and it's way more fun to play with cool looking designs that are functional as your progress through the game!
jrandall  [author] 28 Jul, 2019 @ 2:41pm
Thank you Valkerion™ and BoneHead Skull! @Valkerion™, yeah, sorry about the bugs. I broke it a couple times fixing something else. If you have an older version, the main issue was cargo bay 1 had 264K storage vs 320K it should of had. The other 2 storage bays still had 320K thou. When fixing that issue, I did it in the experimental version causing the blueprint to show in red. Then after that was fixed it was very slightly over 7500 CPU so I had to remove ammo extension and reduce it 48K instead of 56K storage. Not a big deal on that thou as I think even at 48K it has far more ammo storage than needed. Thanks again!
BoneHead Skull 28 Jul, 2019 @ 2:27pm
Thanks for the awsome build , gone try it out in my solo game tomorow :steamhappy:
Valkerion™ 28 Jul, 2019 @ 11:56am
Man, I was just trying to spawn this for my base but I had been in game since before you uploaded the fix... Guess I'll have to go renovate :)
jrandall  [author] 28 Jul, 2019 @ 11:39am
Thank you iNick! Oh crap. Let me look at that. I must have an extra unused extension somewhere now. I somehow broke a couple things on the base when I detailed the interior. I had this stuff all laid out prior to work with 7500 CPU. Thanks for the heads up, I will look at it.
iNick 28 Jul, 2019 @ 10:23am
jrandall, still loving your contributions. This comment feels like a nitpick. I think you care, which is why I am commenting this now. After your storage 1 fix, and your experimental fix, I respawned in the latest and it's 7520/7500 CPU. This is a complete "nitpick" - but I think you might want to know about it too. If this is known and intended, I'm fine with it. I will happily personally reduce 20 CPU.
jrandall  [author] 28 Jul, 2019 @ 8:05am
@SilverFire, thank you. I am glad it brought up as I didn't know it had the problem with showing in red after the storage update/fix. Thanks again!

@ jrandall Thank you for fixing the bp. Its very much appreciated. :steamhappy:
Entarlas 28 Jul, 2019 @ 6:58am
something else i've noticed is you can actually use trenches to slow down npc attackers ;) they won't try to jump over them they just fall in and get stuck. they will try to climb out though, and if they do it wasn't deep enough. you can put a gun on the corner of the trench to kill what falls in.. this would be a second entity from ur main base ofcourse. or just kill them urself OR lol keep the trench shallow to litteraly slow them down giving you more response time. hope that helps
Entarlas 28 Jul, 2019 @ 6:51am
if you built it close to a hill i've seen them use a drill and burrow under a base core to capture it before. effectively bypassing all turrets. but if you have enough room around the base this shouldn't be a problem
jrandall  [author] 28 Jul, 2019 @ 6:41am
Thanks 10thLeper, Ancient Terror, SilverFire, kalamar, Mad Raven, Talohan, Krizzoula. I found the problem on the blueprint. What had happened is a bug was on the base and I updated it. However, I had switched to the experimental version of the game when I updated it and it did in fact show up in red like what was said. Thanks for the heads up. I backed off the game version to non experimental and updated the blueprint now. It should be fixed. As in the wood floor, a couple things. It was only to save costs and the walls going to the ground as well as all the blocks around the core are armored concrete. I am totally unsure why that would be a problem at all. There is no way the bad guys should ever be able to get there and they capture the core at a distance, not by blowing holes thru the floor in which I cannot think of anyway how they could do that without destroying the walls. That is why it was done in the first place. Let me know your thoughts and thanks for the heads up all!.
Krizzoula 28 Jul, 2019 @ 3:57am
jrandall did you get a chance to update the floor from wood or is it still wood?
Kula808 27 Jul, 2019 @ 7:29pm
Did a walk through in creative, very user friendly. The Legend is Better that multi screens telling u what to put Down, Nice touch. I feel comfortable walking around. Plus Look Great . Mahalo
Talohan 27 Jul, 2019 @ 7:25pm
goto creative and swap the wood blocks for concrete armored using the ~ command replace blocks
Mad Raven 27 Jul, 2019 @ 6:45pm
Having the same issue as Silverfire and 10th. On the HWS server. Wasn't like this earlier today, in fact, I started production on the aftermath server earlier today with no issues. Haven't been back on to see if it has developed the same issue.
Emotional Damage 27 Jul, 2019 @ 6:26pm
Just so you know. I downloaded a base just like yours just before you posted yours which i also have downloaded. I found out the hard way and did not know the base had a wooden floor. had 8 turrets, 8 personnel turrets, and i had shields up. i fought off 4 attacks to the base. I was hearing noises but could not figure out what. i was in mt CV working on it when my base turned red and started attacking my CV. Was wondering what was going on. Well They got in by blowing the floor which was wood all the way to the core. went from one end of the base to the other end. Heck of a time destroying the core and then they replaced it with a second one as soon as i destroyed the first so i blow that one and killed the aliens. by that time my CV was destroyed along with the base. The CV tore the base up as the Base tore the CV up. So careful of wooden floors. i replace or upgrade everything now because of that.
Entarlas 27 Jul, 2019 @ 6:20pm
PLEASE update this jrandall I love the design but went to build in MP today and it says wrong version of some block doesn't specify what tho for me. Really looking forward to using in survival. Thank you for sharing this resource and thanks in advance for the fix. <3

The Blueprint Shows Red for me on the Blueprint Screen. I spawned in creative and Changed out the glass railings with base sized variant and saved blueprint for myself. Now it no longer shows in red for me.
jrandall  [author] 27 Jul, 2019 @ 2:22pm
Thanks for the info 10thLeper! I appreciate that. I was freaking out just a bit as I just patched it a bit earlier and wondered if something got broken or the upload messed up or something. Thanks again!
