I figure that yes, it won't have any problems to be tinkered with. As long as the timer blocks aren't messed with as they control the mass driver and the gravity drive.
You can build either in space or earth. On earth it needs the hydrogen thrusters to fly normally

the pod is in the exact state as the ones that come in the full blueprint, place them on the ship, dock and they're set, if i recall correctly they have 2 functions, 1 activates all their systems, and 2 re-docks them to the connector and turn it off to not intefere with the Hyperion itself and waste power, i so i think, its been a while :p
I see, sure I can either provide you with the original blueprint, or if you want you can use admin mode to copy a brand new ship that will come with the pods, and all you have to do is to create your own pod blueprint for whenever you need, I can assist with that.
yep, i do. copying a pod once you spawn a ship is not working for you?

heres a link for how they are pre-set.

however, there are ways to counter that, you can add some gyroscopes in override mode with just the enough forward/backward tilt when the g-drive is on, it will kill the tilt if the forces are configured right, then turn those off when the g-drive is off and you can likely eliminate the tilt.
I didnt wanted to feel like the tech was something so perfect, as by nature, its a bit of a "cheat" and exploting the game mechanics.
thank you for the considerations, and its sorta-ish possible to make it accelerate without tilting up or down (backwards), the thing with gravity drives is that it uses carefully positioned gravity generators and blocks, or so we try to do that when installing them, with that said, the only way to make it go straightforward without any deviations would be installing the g-drive exactly in the center of mass of the ship, but thats often difficult, you can only do as best as you can, plus, add some gravity generators around compensating for the forces as best as possible, while i could eliminate the effect that made the ship literally go upwards or downwards, the small tilt, despite already being compensated by generators, I sorta-ish left it there for an 'effect' factor, assuming how fast g-drives can accelerate unrealistically, thats meant to be a small unexpected side effect of the technology.

I guess I have found capital ship for myself. Going to have hard time building it with a projector :) The only drawback to me - no modules on refineries (easy fixable though)
About grav drive - is it possible to make it accelerate only in horizontal direction without going up or down? If yes, what do I have to do for it?
without quite the rework, theres no way to make em work unless manually fitted with missiles before its fired...
