Minor factions are minor

Needs a slight update along with major factions are major (both yellow and not green tick), but it still works pretty well for all those wondering.

Should be, yeah

This mod still working?
XenoGames48 12 Aug, 2023 @ 9:03pm
ok
Metro  [author] 12 Aug, 2023 @ 4:33am
No need for an update as the small patch that was released does not touch any of the same files.
XenoGames48 7 Aug, 2023 @ 4:28pm
update?
Metro  [author] 28 May, 2021 @ 3:50am
I don't think the game will crash if you run with both mods, but this mod is by no means balanced for the gameplay of Para Bellum so I have no idea how it will affect a campaign.
Mori 27 May, 2021 @ 2:50pm
inane question incoming: does this work with parabellum?

i expect is does not as para belleum is an overhaul mod, but you never know with mods
realisticly my fallout 4 and new vegas should not even start let alone be playable but they are.
Metro  [author] 15 May, 2021 @ 6:17am
As far as I'm aware, there has not been a patch since 2018 and the mod is updated for that, so the mod doesn't need an update. The problem is probably something else, but feel free to try other mods that do the same thing, maybe you'll have more luck with those!
Metro  [author] 6 Dec, 2020 @ 6:02am
That's strange. As long as you played the Grand Campaign it should work just fine if it was activated properly. It doesn't eliminate the possiblity for minor faction upstarts completely though, so it may have just been the way your game went for whatever reason.
There are other mods on the workshop that do the same thing in various ways, so you could try those aswell :)
Gataarius 5 Dec, 2020 @ 4:00pm
Didn't work for me. Rome still ended up being a baby, and the minor factions still had huge stacks running around.
Joe 9 May, 2020 @ 6:50am
thanks for this so annoying needing two doom stacks to take a 1 settlement tribe down
Tiberios Horatios 27 Jan, 2020 @ 11:19am
well I'll try it, I don't want Massilia having five armies
Metro  [author] 26 Jan, 2020 @ 2:32am
That depends on the nature of said "money boosters". It might overwrite my mod(or vice versa depending on your load order) if it's a mod. If it's a trainer, save editor or something like that, then it wont be a problem.
Tiberios Horatios 26 Jan, 2020 @ 12:34am
so this will clash with money boosters?
Metro  [author] 11 Aug, 2019 @ 4:15am
It does not need an update. If it shows otherwise, you can just load it anyway.
Hackmeister 7 Aug, 2019 @ 11:38pm
Update Pls
Metro  [author] 18 Jul, 2019 @ 7:56am
That's very strange. It doesn't give me that warning at all. Either case you can go ahead and load it anyway, as the update is strictly a formality. It will work regardless :)
ᵀʰᵉNewbie 17 Jul, 2019 @ 10:50pm
Well, but on my, it says outdated
Metro  [author] 17 Jul, 2019 @ 1:42pm
The mod isn't out of date.
ᵀʰᵉNewbie 17 Jul, 2019 @ 3:26am
Can u update this pls
Metro  [author] 15 Jul, 2019 @ 5:05am
I am not familiar with how DEI is built, but given the scope of their mod it probably changes similar things to mine. It shouldn't cause conflicts and probably wont crash the game or anything, but it will not be balanced for DEI so I have no idea how good an experience it would make.
psychebc 15 Jul, 2019 @ 3:35am
Might be a dumb question, but does this work with DEI
chris18zinyak 30 Sep, 2018 @ 7:32am
Hi Metro, been looking for a mod like this =) sorry if this a stupid question but would this be incompatable with radious?
Metro  [author] 17 Aug, 2018 @ 12:14am
It absolutely should be. The effects are best with new games however.
Inquisitor 16 Aug, 2018 @ 1:43pm
you are a god damm hero :) btw is this save game compatible ?
Metro  [author] 16 Aug, 2018 @ 10:59am
Updated for Rise of the Republic patch. There shouldn't be any issues, but let me know if there is. Have fun :)
Inquisitor 16 Aug, 2018 @ 9:16am
update please
Potato Soup 25 Apr, 2018 @ 3:22pm
I wouldn't be surprised if the african tribes took carthage first since they are no longer minor.
Rocky the Rock 25 Apr, 2018 @ 1:41pm
Reading this mod does this bring me back to my first campaign where Syracusae not only beat back Carthage out of Italy, but took all of its African cities including Carthago itself.

@- The Mole - 67
Having briefly looked at the other mods description they should work fine together. Mine is an economical rebalance whereas the other mod uses scripting to make it almost impossible for major factions to lose battles against the minors. It depends on which solution you'd prefer. I reckon my mod still leaves possibility for upstart minors to succeed if they are lucky whereas the other one is more punishing towards the minors. You can use one or the other, or both. Shouldn't be a problem :)
AOKI_TheMole 28 Mar, 2018 @ 2:00am
Hey just found this mod, is it in addition of the "guaranteed major faction empires"? or both aren't working together?

Thanks in advance for the reply :)
Bersaglieri 18 Mar, 2018 @ 11:43am
YAY! :steamhappy:
Metro  [author] 18 Mar, 2018 @ 11:21am
I updated the mod to get rid of the out of date warning. Functionally it should stay the same.
Piero 18 Mar, 2018 @ 8:29am
Great, thank you :)
Metro  [author] 18 Mar, 2018 @ 8:26am
@Piero I'll look into it, but it should still work even if it says that it's out of date :)
Piero 18 Mar, 2018 @ 7:46am
Hello, could you please update your mod to work with the latest patch? Thank you
Metro  [author] 10 Mar, 2018 @ 2:26pm
Hope you have fun with it :)
Bersaglieri 10 Mar, 2018 @ 1:06pm
hey thanks for the response. Good to know as I have been wanting to play a Getae campaign for some time now.
Metro  [author] 10 Mar, 2018 @ 9:58am
@Bersaglieri Sorry for a late response. I wasn't notified of your comment by steam for some reason. SaintedPlacebo is correct. As far as the gamelogic is concerned, all factions that are playable are tagged as "major" factions, and the rest as "minor" factions.
-S★inted- 9 Mar, 2018 @ 11:31pm
@bersaglieri I assume he means unplayable factions. in the game files 'major' factions are factions that are playable.
Bersaglieri 13 Feb, 2018 @ 10:08pm
just for clarification when you say "minor" do you mean all non-playable factions or anyone who is not a major superpower at this time? (Rome, Carthage, Macedon, Egypt, Seleucids). I'd like to play an Illyrian campaign without having to watch the Etruscans randomly slaughter Rome for once.
TheTexasViking 5 Jan, 2018 @ 7:27am
thanks so much
ksgustavo 6 Dec, 2017 @ 2:04pm
thanks!!
Metro  [author] 6 Dec, 2017 @ 8:44am
The mod has now been updated. Had to make minor adjustments. Let me know if there are any issues with it!
ksgustavo 5 Dec, 2017 @ 5:37pm
I agree with @Sefe :)
Metro  [author] 1 Dec, 2017 @ 10:34am
I am going to take a look at the mod and the state of the game after these updates and see if updates are necessary. It could take a couple of days.
Sefe 1 Dec, 2017 @ 2:14am
Great mod but doesn't work after the power & politics update. Could you update?
frostsid 22 Nov, 2017 @ 12:25pm
Thank youy for the reply. Yeah I meant for the Grand Campaign.
Metro  [author] 22 Nov, 2017 @ 10:37am
It should work just fine even with the newest patch. Though I only support the Grand Campaign, so I can't say for any new campaign maps.
