They didnt fight barefoot in actually battles, that is just stupid. As a dare or single combat with certain rules, sure why not. But for a soldier to be barefoot is suicide. Especially when fighting in a phalanx without hobnailed boots, you slip, you die.

Please let me do it for the grand campaign as well.

@Kizlsx, if you look at the screenshots, Argos has the other Greek patterns too. I didn't just give the factions their unique patterns.

@pizzaman6 not sure if you got my last comment but thats what i meant, for an example, argos only has their faction logo on the shield without the default Greek patterns

@robinw, Make sure the actual file is deleted from either your Rome 2 data folder or from the folder that has the workshop content. I don't know why other mods won't install properly, but this mod shouldn't have anything to do with that.

I'm trying to change the way the spartans look in the game for me, specifically in customs battle, cuz i hate the vanilla helmets for them. I downloaded this mod but saw only later thats its only for the WoS campaign, so i uninstalled it and tried a different mod. But now none of the other mods will install and this one still is, even though i've unsubscribed from it. Anyone know how i can fix this?

@Kizlsx I’m not entirely sure what you mean, but do you mean make it so that for example Athenian solders ONLY have the shield with the owl and not the other standard Greek patterns mixed in there?

Hey pizzaman6, i was wondering if you could make a submod that makes the faction specific shields appear only? kinda getting bugged that most mods have the spartan logo on their shields while athens, argos and etc have faction specific shields with other designs. thank you for this wonderful mod btw!

CA must be really lazy to let graphical things like that slip through the cracks. I assume the better looking beards came when they made WoS, but they didnt even bother to add them to main campaign? yet the spartans have short hair in the main campaign like in Wos, while the mod i spoke of adds long hair, which i think was there before the arrival WoS, but got removed with its release. so if im correct that the long hair got removed by WoS, why did they not also add the better beards? it makes no sense to me other than them being super lazy. anyway thanks for replying

@Dillinius Sandarius I don't know if you are familiar with using the Assembly Kit, but some vanilla skin models have certain limitations that are annoying, for example the best skin model to use with Corinthian helmets doesn't have sandals. In this mod, there is a custom Sandals model that adds on to skin models that don't have them. I really dislike clipping hair through helmets too, maybe the modder was just careless with that?

just a question, do you know what the problem is with adding sandals to the spartans in the grand campaign? if you play the game vanilla, the spartans in grand campaign not only have no shoes, but also have lower res beards that look awful when compared to WoS beards. ive tried a couple of "adding shoes for Sparta" mods for grand campaign which seem to add the beards from WoS for some reason, but also add in random long hair that clips through the helmets of all Spartan units. Do you have any idea why this is (the long hair is really my biggest gripe)?

I've seen that version too, I feel like it was an epic easter egg that I just had to put in!

I just put out another update that changes a few minor things around, and adds compatibility for my new Wrath of Sparta Unique Units mod. I took out the Lambda shields for Akian League and Melos because even though they have a historic connection to Sparta and Laconia, they probably wouldn't paint a neighboring country's symbol on their shields. I left them with some Aesthetic similarities to Sparta however.

@A Coffee Mug - The previous version only added some unique appearances for Athens, Sparta, Boeotian League, Korinthos, and Macedon. With this update I improved some of the new shields textures, and added more for those factions, but I also added stuff for every faction in WoS to one degree or another. I completely changed the mod images, so if you want to see the highlights, check those out.

@pizzaman6 can i ask what is the new update about today 12/18?

Could you make a variant of this mod for vanilla greek factions? Still including the corinthian helmets.
