This is a really stange issue. I don't know how it could happen. I uploaded the pack to fix it, now all names should appear correctly.
About the name bug: Take a look at pel_Nordo_land_units.loc, some unit names are missing characters in the end, correcting those should fix it.
On a side note, hoping that a solution will pop up on the future, might I make a suggestion on the whole "sword units" thing? What about changing the marines weapon to swords (and maybe jav)? Even tough greek marines surely have used spears I wouldn't bet against sword usage at the time: as boarding a ship should have been kind of a funky business surely sometimes they would have used swords instead of spears (for maneuvrability reasons maybe?)!
This way you could have your classical hoplite army on land and still have some reasonable units' variety when attacking with a fleet nearby
Yes Linothorrax was used by hoplites, ( by most far richer states) and tunics for various units in the 5th & 3rd cent that was added to the army. As the tunic covering one shoulder, or covering both. Could that be added? Not just the Spartan youth?
I was thinking later also, when maybe Sparta was coming back in the RTW- 270 time line with better training yet poor because of wars, to start off with tunics, and then units with Linothorrax.
. I recall hoplites fought naked because having cloth in wounds wasn't a good idea to cause disease. Which was found on paintings and pottery. Yet ,we will not go there.
So you don't think Osprey has historical units?
If you can, the longer hair and longer beards would be awesome for Spartans. But, its great mod, love the units.
