The corrupted text file has been fixed, all names and descriptions should be visible now.

Wow, thank you for this information!
This is a really stange issue. I don't know how it could happen. I uploaded the pack to fix it, now all names should appear correctly.

Nice mod, thanks for uploading.

About the name bug: Take a look at pel_Nordo_land_units.loc, some unit names are missing characters in the end, correcting those should fix it.

I won't have time to add stuff in the next days, so I will think about it later. Thanks for your suggestions, although the Sacred Band was founded later and did not exist during the time of this campaign.

Also in order to add depth and variety to WoS you can add Sacred Band of Thebes in Boeotian League, and Thespian Hoplites too.. In Athenai you can add Logades and in Sparta Homoioi.. Also you can tell me to provide for more Historical Info.. For Appearance and more Units..

Regarding the name bug: I really hope someone could find the reason for this issue. It never happened before patch 19 as I know. The strings are implemented in a normal way.

Unfortunately I have the same problem as Last Spartan, no names for custom units even tough I'm running the game in english! This is also the first mod I run having such a problem, wich is a shame as I was really looking forward to something like this (no pikes, sarissa cav and such)

On a side note, hoping that a solution will pop up on the future, might I make a suggestion on the whole "sword units" thing? What about changing the marines weapon to swords (and maybe jav)? Even tough greek marines surely have used spears I wouldn't bet against sword usage at the time: as boarding a ship should have been kind of a funky business surely sometimes they would have used swords instead of spears (for maneuvrability reasons maybe?)!

This way you could have your classical hoplite army on land and still have some reasonable units' variety when attacking with a fleet nearby

But there has to be one sword unit?
billsheri1948 30 Dec, 2019 @ 11:54pm
If you can, longer hair and longer beards would be awesome for Spartans. And maybe one more unit that has tunics? What you feel about Osprey units? Thanks.
Nor Dogroth  [author] 30 Dec, 2019 @ 4:59pm
As far as I know, axes and swords were not really used by Greeks in this period of time so I would say no. If you have other information feel free to share it.

Are you going to add some sword units? Including great axe units? Axe units for Korinth and athens as well as sword units? Krypteia, Arcadian warriors and many others?
Nor Dogroth  [author] 30 Dec, 2019 @ 1:42am
This is a common game bug with mods. It's not caused by the mod itself because all strings are implemented correctly. Unfortunately I do not know of anyone who has found a solution. I recommend to contact the game support.

Units' names appear blank when I hover over them with the cursor. Any idea why? I'm not using any overhaul mods.

Thanks for your points. The targets, and breastplates were for those who saved their coins. kings gaurd, elites, and vets.

Yes Linothorrax was used by hoplites, ( by most far richer states) and tunics for various units in the 5th & 3rd cent that was added to the army. As the tunic covering one shoulder, or covering both. Could that be added? Not just the Spartan youth?

I was thinking later also, when maybe Sparta was coming back in the RTW- 270 time line with better training yet poor because of wars, to start off with tunics, and then units with Linothorrax.

. I recall hoplites fought naked because having cloth in wounds wasn't a good idea to cause disease. Which was found on paintings and pottery. Yet ,we will not go there.

So you don't think Osprey has historical units?

If you can, the longer hair and longer beards would be awesome for Spartans. But, its great mod, love the units.
Nor Dogroth  [author] 27 Dec, 2019 @ 4:29am
Thank your for your comment. I do not agree that most units weared tunics only. The linothorax was part of the πανοπλία (panoplía), the standard equipment. Richer men used additional arm and leg protection and better bronze armour. However, it's true that some men could not pay the costs for those equipments and some of them fought without armour. These are the weaker militia hoplites in the game. I'm not sure if they count as real hoplites, because in Athen, for example, hoplites were part of the political system and everyone could join them if he had the money for the equipment.

Very nice. I love the units. Will the hair and beards be longer for Spartans, and with tunics like Osprey units? Their armour {linothorax } was used by elites, Kiings 300, and Hero's more advanced. From OSprey, most hoplites had tunics, because of cost. Yet, a Awesome mod.
