make some armenian general units please one thing i hate about armenia is you only have 2 general bodyguard units

PS: emperor edition seems to have increased the work of cpu and gpu, this means that on extreme sets, units are back to have a better appearence, this was what I felt looking after many time to your armenian heavy infantry unit

any thing you will do it's ok, I only say that your work becomes first, then CA solutions. nothing against CA but when a mod becomes an "evergreen" for me I defend it as a fanatic :) don't care of this :)

It was a pretty obvious unit to be missing for athens, the faction was even advertised as having them but you ended up just getting veteran hoplite mercenaries. If anything I can just replace the vanilla skin with my own.

So they added a new unit cloned on your/EB one? no I can't believe it...anyway, I would not lost the unit, the whole stuff in your case but renew it, maybe with a new name (I can do necessary UPC changes when needed).

Well they basically made a carbon copy of my hoplites, or rather the ones from EB which I based mine off of. It's in the name "Picked hoplites" being almost a literal translation of the term Epilektoi Hoplitai. Athens didn't need two identical elite heavy hoplites with slightly differing appearances.

Ehi, please don't tell me you've to remove some of your units, I know that CA made a total revolution of the recruitment system but it's possible to deal with it and give units proper recruit options. You could ask Radious about it since he also reworked recruitment system for the units you give for his mod. CA could have added an unit similar to your but...are we sure it is better than you one? I've my doubts:) and don't forget that if u want to change some of them I Can give you my armours. If I can help, just ask

CA has ended up making additions and changes that have invalidated some of the units my packs add, like my elite classical hoplites for athens, CA added their own forcing me to just remove the unit. Elite persian archers used to be terrible in melee so the fact that they had spears was irrelevant, rather than modify a vanilla unit and make my mod incompatible with others, I just made my own dedicated spear/archer unit like the one in Europa Barbarorum. I ended up modifying the vanilla one anyway, in BRE, to consolidate the roster in dealing with these redundancies. I'll do the same for this mod as well.

syrian archers seems kind of redundant since there is a vanila unit of almost the same name, why not call them "armenian elite archers" same goes for the persian archer spearmen, love the mod though it deserves more attention!

Hi Smarmy, I'm deeply happy to read you're still operative and that your mods are going to rusvive this "revolution". Doing things in a simple way sometimes is the best way to make them great and your units are inspired to this approach. I've entered the world of modding creating textures (new armours) for a project current wip both with more skilled and talented veteran Aguirre. If in the future you need some customised stuff I could try to do it for you. I ignore your skills but what I saw this year of Rome II was great and always high quality work: humble and rich at the same time. And ofc the mods you follow for inspirations do not need my words to be full of historical beautiful light. Hope you're fine with your double-job and that things are going better, cheers, DB

Hey Drama, thanks. All the mods are updated I'm just waiting for emperor edition before I risk soft-breaking peoples save games. In the mean time I'm fiddling about with a mod for Egypt, nothing grand or dramatic. I'm not a marvelous texture artist or anything, just what I've always done. Using inspiration from EB, and Roma Surrectum, and modifying the vanilla units as well as adding new ones to try to make the faction fit my tastes.
