how do I make the actual track system? I can't figure out what I am supposed to do,there are the fake ones I think are supposed to go with the wheels but then that is still a wheeled vehicle and not a tracked one. I am very new to this game.

Oh, that's bad news. It's a shame that SE breaks everything with each update.

Recent update broke this :(((

Having the same trouble as these other guys with the blueprint just basically flying.

I'm having the same problem as ZeNorwegian. I place the chassis as-is. Then I unlock the landing gear and attempt to drive. With both left and right tracks engaged, the front of the chassis lifts skyward, and with both disengaged, the rear does the same. Is this because there is supposed to be more weight on the chassis itself?

Thank you for uploading a demo model!

I am having trouble using it though. Even when the tracks are unlocked, the tracks start wobbling and the vehicle lifts its rear skyward. Am I missing something?

I always love these kinds of blueprints. It makes testing out additional mods really easy, because I don't need to build an all-new vehicle for it.

True, I guess that's a good other way of looking at it.
Darian Stephens 22. Feb. 2020 um 4:22
Perhaps, however, you could take the number of people mistaking it for a mod as a compliment?
If it looks good enough that people have a hard time telling it's not done natively, it shows how good a job you've done at making it.

I just mean that I personally never use blueprints, and prefer it when there are more parts I can utilize to make my own creations.
I don't mean to undervalue your achievements here, as it certainly culminates in an impressive-looking creation, it's just not of personal interest to me.

It's a blueprint utilising a mod, Torkkar.

And Darian, I worked pretty hard on implementing the custom 2x2 wheels, 3x3 wheels, track hinges, riveted plates and seat. This is the combination of a lot of different avenues of my modding work and I'm personally proud of it. To my knowledge there is no functional alternative on the workshop and so to hear that's disappointing because I didn't completely code a new type of locomotion into the game is somewhat annoying.

I know you didn't mean it in any bad way, but consider the work it's taken just to get to this stage, let alone further.

Oh, I thought this was a mod adding tracked wheels.
Slightly disappointing, but it looks kinda neat.
Torkkar 21. Feb. 2020 um 12:16
is this a mod or a ship?
Ashen Raven 21. Feb. 2020 um 7:42

Don't worry, I added it after your first comment, Creative.
John Bee 20. Feb. 2020 um 10:55
Well, it doesn't hurt to READ does it?
Ashen Raven 20. Feb. 2020 um 6:43
well, it doesnt hurt to add needed mods to the right, does it?

Literally the third line in the description, mate.
Ashen Raven 18. Feb. 2020 um 12:54

How do you stick tracks together is beyond me. I tried static grid with bunch of robot arms while basi is on rotor and advance welding mod everything just clanged when i tried to conect ends and save got errored and i just abandoned it.
woostyboy 17. Feb. 2020 um 10:34
Would love t see a video of these tracks in action!
MrEvan312 16. Feb. 2020 um 20:09
Randa: I've actually seen a clip where he may well have exactly this in the making somehow.
John Bee 16. Feb. 2020 um 11:15
Make animated tracks
