Thanks attarikaqsal. This was the first ship I made in Stormworks. It's been so long, and so much has changed with the game, I wouldn't know where to start with an update.
IIRC, that 'broken' winch was intentional...does it catch fire? I did something like that on one of my ships but I can't remember if it was this one...like I said, it's been a while. :o
Anyway, thanks for the comment. If you like this one, maybe check my Collection for the 'Alpine Vision'. It's similar and more current, though lacking a few of the features of the Vista. Cheers!

@Megahurts - You've delivered such an amazing ship which has been my go to ship since you first published it. Regardless of the time it takes for you to up this creation to V1.x it will be all worth it

Nice. Thanks. Mine too :) Though I'd probably use my other one more. Speaking of, it needs a fix or two so I'll be focusing on it first, then I'll be adding new equipment to the Vista. So, it's probably going to take a couple/few weeks...I haven't played in months and will need to get a feel for the new items and how to best utilize them.

It appears the recent update has broken the engine's connection to the propellers. Mind fixing it, I dont know exactly what the problem is, but the props wont turn.

As far as I know, any of the standard large docks. I haven't had any issues at the ones I've spawned it at.

No it's not broken. The throttles and rudders have a dead zone. Watch the small LCD indicators right in front of you. If that's not the issue, you've got a thruster stuck on, the AP or DP systems is engaged...could be a number of things. Most likely the deadzones though.

Sorry for this late response. I think I know now what may have been giving you problems.... The DPS screen, it's a touch screen and at the very top, you have to click on the blue 'DPS' bar to activate.

Found this...I was off on my Heading coversion...

''The devs didn't use a 0-360 value for compass heading for design reasons. They used 0 to 0.5 for headings 0 through 180 and 0 to -0.5 for 181 to 360.'' (credit Amallore)

So .25 would be East....5 South...etc.

It's been a while now...iirc, it's already 'active', so when you enter co-ords and heading it should start to move. Heading is weird I know (heh Stormworks). Anyway, I believe, 0 is North, .5 East, -.5 West and 1 is South (I am trying to fact check this and will post again if the above is incorrect).
As far as entering co-ords...set a waypoint an your map (M key), click the large keyboard, and press the blue button (that will take co-ords from the waypoint you set, and enter them into the system).

How does the DP Work? I can see there is a Coordinations input and heading input on the aft part of the bridge. How do I activate it, and how does it work?

Thanks Roseman, and you too Numiz for the nice feedback. Not sure what you mean by a power cord, but changing the winch speed is easy enough. Probably won't happen as an update until after the next major SW update.
As an aside, I'm working on a new ship...hopefully just as useful as the Vista but with some of the fat trimmed off for better performance. We'll see how it goes.

Love the ship! Can't say that enough. Very impressed with how useful it is.

When you have a chance can you slow down the wench on the back? Totaled the boat when I grabbed an anchor with it. Swung it so fast it broke the deck and momentarily propelled us into the air.

Also I want to tow a tender or some other fast boat on the back can you add a power cord or something in the back?

Regardless of what others think. This is an AMAZING creation. I've spent several of days traveling from the Creative Island to the Arctic with added AISO-tanks and filling up along the way with meeting tankers.

The only things I'd like you to improve on this creation is the fuel efficiency and adding a range calculator. And perhaps a few more fluid pumps to make the fill up quicker

Apart from that, amazing. Looks amazing, handles amazing, the plotting auto-pilot is fantastic

Sorry for the troubles. I'll amend the notes to state using the 'large' winch in the stern is recommended. While testing, it was much more practical to use due to the lack of any rope collision which allows the cable on the 'giant' winch to pass through the deck. Thanks for your comments :)

Hey dude, nice ship! Seriously I liked it very much. Just one thing... I used it for a tug mission and when ready to tug, the winch "exploded". I later then searched in the comments and found the reason, but please! Next time you upload a ship, write in the description what's working and what's not. Overall, this was a very nice ship to play with, and when the winch will get fixed, I think I'll use a lot to tug other ships!

The human eye is less sensitive to longer wavelengths, so red light is chosen to preserve the night vision of the crew while still allowing them to still see their instrument panels.
So also *surfaceships"- not only submarines use red light, in the night on there bridg :)

Further to that...probably when the first person ropes/cables update drops. Kinda of curious how that is going to work and how I can use it on the Vista. In the meantime I've been building a helicopter that's using radio control on some of the attachments (it's a heavy lifter helo) so the Vista winches may use radio too...unsure at this point..

Hehe...grats...you're the first to have reported that :) That's one is um...broken...it's my 'artistic statement' regarding the new winches that broke this ship 4 days after I posted it. Anyway, enough about that...

I've been waiting to see what other changes the devs are going to throw at us with winches/cables before I address that winch. I refuse to put a winch on a track to slide back to the stern as some people do to get around the janky rope/cable physics. That's why I put the large winch tucked into the stern. So it'll get fixed, I'm just making sure when I fix it, it won't need another update in another few days.

I'm sorry I don't know what to suggest. My only thought is, if you get some slow motion when it spawns in like I do, a bit of lag might be causing issues. Try start one at a time and holding the button down for a few seconds to make sure it 'takes'. Maybe you've tried this or a lag isn't an issue for you but it's all I can think of.

Starts fine here. It kinda sounds like it doesn't have any fuel. What's the gauge say? It's the gauge on the right shown in the last screenshot posted at the top...if you have unlimited fuel on it should spawn with 204,000 l of fuel.
