@That Shark Dude so the mod its a mistake?
The Shark Dude 25 Apr, 2023 @ 7:48am
For anyone wondering why the torsos of the marines used the incorrect hitbox type, it's most likely to simulate the protection provided by the body armor the marines are wearing.

When using BMCE with this some headcrab zombies are missing the headcrab on their heads.

Still working?
HeydayMayday 28 Sep, 2021 @ 2:15am
dumb question, but how would this mod bug my game if its not installed correctly?
ninthlyokowarrior 23 Aug, 2021 @ 10:14am
So, somebody made mods that add gib systems to Ichthyosaurs & the Black Ops. Ever consider merging those into this?
AlexGuy 19 Aug, 2021 @ 12:53pm
He should add a pp hitbox too.
ninthlyokowarrior 19 Aug, 2021 @ 10:21am
For those wondering: Garg hitboxes are because mods that make you able to kill them with explosives & energy weapons are a thing.
Horselover Fat 25 Jul, 2021 @ 3:20pm
The altered gargantua hitbox breaks the scripted sequence at the beginning of Powered Up where a rocket knocks it into the power lines. With this mod the gargantua doesn't recoil from the rocket blast and the power lines just explode by themselves.
I was able to remove the garg files from the vpk to fix the issue, but they really shouldn't be included by default, since the gargantua is normally invulnerable.

Otherwise, I enjoy this and your more realistic damage mod.
XRGM1267 28 May, 2021 @ 8:53am
Like what the other user said, you should probably update the models, because of some errors it might cause, but the Gargantua in particular, still has his old animations like his entrance in Power Up when it was updated to have the chapter be dark.
ninthlyokowarrior 24 Mar, 2021 @ 7:33pm
I’m interested in a modular version of this.
welcome 2 Feb, 2021 @ 12:21am
the "hev_gordon" is a unused model
TheoRex 29 Jan, 2021 @ 2:37pm
Crowbar Collective should be the ones fixing these bugs
Stenton 30 Nov, 2020 @ 5:03pm
You can find it here Steam>steamapps>workshop>content>362890>id number of the mod (ex. 2033100114)
Stenton 30 Nov, 2020 @ 5:01pm
Just move the files into the custom folder if you have made one
LOL DUDE 27 Nov, 2020 @ 1:37am
Hey, just wanted to let you know that most of the models in this seem to have been broken by the Definitive Edition update. The console returns an Error Vertex File error for several.
1v4n94 12 Nov, 2020 @ 6:21am
@mr.unoriginal not exactly... the game already allows for modifying how they react to damage.
1v4n94 12 Nov, 2020 @ 6:19am
I wonder that as well, C8. But essentially, if the same files get replaced, mods are not compatible.
C8H11NO2 10 Nov, 2020 @ 1:02pm
Hi, I'd love to know if the .phy files included is required or not. I'm using a ragdoll mod and curious whether they're compatible.
ChickenChucker96 9 Aug, 2020 @ 7:25am
the hecu should stay the same because of the kevlar
JackelZXA 2 Jul, 2020 @ 1:58pm
So this currently doesn't work with BMCE, right?
True_Boredom 4 May, 2020 @ 7:44pm
@Phantron The HECU have their "chest" programmed as "leg" as a way to simulate the damage resistance their kevlar armor would provide.
Phantron 10 Apr, 2020 @ 7:04pm
wait what, the marines actually dont have the hitzones for chest and stomach ?!
Mirellanmål  [author] 6 Apr, 2020 @ 8:00am
@Not a Bane I really appreciate that, thanks!
Mirellanmål  [author] 6 Apr, 2020 @ 7:59am
@Tom I really wish I understood the technical side of that. So annoying.
Not a Sacabambaspis 2 Apr, 2020 @ 12:15pm
To everyone and especially
@Mirellanmål
The mods work. In general and these two.
For this, I've done some testing by messing around with the console, spawning NPCs and such and testing out some of the weaponry on them. In the exception of the more destructive weaponry, the damage is indeed distributed differently depending where you fire on a target.
Tom 1 Apr, 2020 @ 12:03am
One thing I should note is that some mods won't work correctly even when installed to the custom folder if you are still subscribed to the mod on the workshop. The workshop in black mesa is just really janky and poorly implemented to be honest.
Mirellanmål  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 9:02am
@Chesters.CZ CS.MONEY Yeah, me too. Unfortunately not possible as far as I know, unless you are a wizard. The build of HLMV that comes with Black Mesa, which is the tool I used, does not have that option.
Mirellanmål  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 8:58am
@MrMister Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to make it happen soon.
Mirellanmål  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 8:56am
The Workshop menu in-game does not work at all currently. I think it won't be fixed until the next major patch. If you launch the game with -OldGameUI then you will have have a working Workshop menu. But the UI will look different, and I think some chapter icons are missing or something, but there is a mod for that.
Mirellanmål  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 8:55am
As I said in the description, the issue is more apparent if using a mod that radically changes the amount of damage inflicted to the head, chest or stomach. So if you use More Realistic Damage you will more clearly notice how headshots will deal more damage to Black Ops assasins and how much difference it makes where you aim at houndeyes.
Mirellanmål  [author] 30 Mar, 2020 @ 8:55am
@Electric Gigolo Hmm. The way I would test it is to open up the console, enter:
give npc_vortigaunt
That will spawn a vortigaunt. close the console and when you see it in-game, open up the console again and enter:
ai_disable
That will stop it from attacking you. Shoot it in the stomach/pelvis area (the yellow hitbox seen in this image: http://imgbox.com/vpAeExTq ) and count how many shots it takes to kill it. Enter ai_disable again then repeat the process but this time shoot it in the chest. If it takes less shots to kill by shooting it in chest than to the stomach/pelvis area, then it's working.

I don't know of any easier way, sorry. But if you don't notice any difference, maybe it doesn't matter.
Mashimaru 30 Mar, 2020 @ 8:47am
Nice work :steamhappy::steamhappy:
Chesters.CZ 29 Mar, 2020 @ 12:16pm
I'd like to see the blocky hitboxes replaced with the sexy smooth kind used in CS:GO
MrMister 27 Mar, 2020 @ 12:27pm
Yeah, a more modular version would be appreciated - at least one that didn't override custom scientist and guard models. They're not enemies to the player so it's not as important to have detailed hitbox categories for them, right?
ulotrichous 27 Mar, 2020 @ 11:32am
hev_gordon is an unused model probably meant for mp or singleplayer.
Electric Gigolo 26 Mar, 2020 @ 5:09pm
This mod is not showing in the workshop in the games menu. How do know if it's installled and
working?
Mirellanmål  [author] 26 Mar, 2020 @ 5:40am
@Not a Bane Thanks. And yeah, I think so. I have no addons showing up there even though I have plenty installed. I think it's being worked on by the devs.
Not a Sacabambaspis 25 Mar, 2020 @ 6:24pm
Hello.
I love the idea of these two mods. However, they do not seem to appear on the installed Workshop Addons in the main menu of the game, so I was wondering if this was normal and if it works despite that.
Nonetheless, thank you for this ^^
GuyOnAChair 25 Mar, 2020 @ 5:23pm
Oh thank you!
