Do really enjoy this mod in regards to how it handles game speed in general, but as others have stated it seems nigh impossible to never not enter a dark age after when entering the classical era. This may be actually thematically intended but if so I guess I feel it would make more sense for this to be done between classical to post classical instead to represent european dark ages

you can't really blame the mod for that the game was likely updated which broke the mod happens to mods all the time sadly

Crashes at turn 2. Just doesn't play nice anymore with the base game or other mods, unsure which.

Can you tell me if it's still working?
It's the kind of mod that should already be a game mode.

81 era point in ancient era? completing wonder result only 5 EP I dont want to know how many EP will be needed for modern era:steamthumbsdown:

Not sure what happened to this mod, but it now crashes the game at turn 2. It never did that before.

There's an issue with this mod. Only the first city has a normal production rate, but the other cities I build after that are extremely slow. A builder takes 8 turns to be trained in my capital, but for other cities it takes 44 turns.

Still, I love the idea of this mod. This is how the slower eras should work (except for that issue I found).

I'll have to second the era numbers mentioned below. It seems almost impossible to avoid dark ages.

Thanks for making this mod!
I wondered if you know of or have the time to make one but for online speed? I know its a lot of ask!

The problem we are having is that we want to use online speed but find that it makes war useless as units are out of date by the time they arrive for war. Ideally we would like the techs and civics to be quick speed but keep production etc.. at online speed.

What are peoples thoughts on that?

The only game speed mod that works right now that I found. My only problem is that 70 points for a golden age in dramatic mode in the ancient era is an overkill. I only managed to reach 32 before the end of the era and now the whole known world is in dark ages!

What about the number of turns per year? If you want really somethng more historic, you start out with the number of turns per year of Marathon late game and do not change it all the way through.

Can you make Epic Eras compatible with this mod, please? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2112359835

Right now, the campus buildings added by that mod don't get their production costs reduced in the 'Epic Eras' game speed, making them a lot more expensive than their counterparts

thanks for the quick response ...note that steam still shows the purple 'DLC needed' bar at the top ...if that had been there when I first looked I'd have never gone further.

Thanks for the feedback @dejpolsys I removed the mod dependencies. I was working out some issues previously and was experimenting with it. The mod works well in vanilla!

...I'm done ...adding the DLC requirement sucks for vanilla players ...I won't let the mod update for my current game and then I'll remove it for the next ...such a shame since it fixed so many problems with playing extended speed games

I made some significant changes. Let me know how it works for you guys!

I love this mod, although the era score gates seem to be the same as they usually are, which practically results in everybody always having a golden age --- I do play with multiple mods, so I figured I'd ask if that's an issue with this mod or a compatibility issue?
Mudkip1001 4 Jun, 2020 @ 3:16pm
Dont play this with Apocalypse Mode, the amount of Aid requests will quickly lead an ai to a premature diplo victory before the Modern Era World Congress can take points away (which can be changed with another mod to the rennisance or earlier). Works really well with era gates. Thanks for this mod! :cozyspaceengineersc:

What is the difference between this mod and the historic game speed mod?
Ian G  [author] 3 Jun, 2020 @ 6:53am
@Catastrophic Mechanical Failure What other mods do you have enabled? I can subscribe to them and try to figure out the problem in the code and a solution.
Catastrophic Mechanical Failure 2 Jun, 2020 @ 7:34pm
I'm having an issue where i'm unable to make era dedications. The button is there and everything, it's just that nothing happens when I press it. I'm playing with other mods, but none that change game speed or are new to me. This is the first time I've ever had this issue, so I'm assuming this mod is responsible.

Really sucks because I like this mod a lot better than any of the other extended eras+normal production mods out there at the moment, and this is a game-breaking bug.
Ian G  [author] 2 Jun, 2020 @ 5:31pm
@Jonny Xtreme I can't seem to replicate the problem, but it may not show up if you're playing on a language other than English US. Or if you have another game-speed changing mod enabled at the same time, it may not show up or work properly. I can test this out...
Jonny Xtreme 1 Jun, 2020 @ 2:39pm
I´d realy like this mod but the mods gamespeed is not available in the Speed-List. I have both addons and all DLCs
Ian G  [author] 31 May, 2020 @ 6:45am
@Jaeger I updated the cost multiplier so that the techs and civics should still have increased costs as the game goes on. Let me know if it works well for you!
Jaeger 28 May, 2020 @ 7:15pm
Does not seem to work. At the very beginning, research time is longer, but by the classical era everything is between 4-10 turns.

Please leave any comments or feedback for me as you play with the mod!
