A lot of work went into the simple but imaginative background story. However, the actual test after an excellent introduction is far too easy. One look out of the window, at the town's exit sign, and one's own position is revealed. Then take out the two guards and you simply drive home with the armored vehicle ... not much of a challenge.
Nice work, though. If you set out on foot, certainly much longer and more dangerous.

Btw, Sinper on Duty mission requires no navigation at all.

This is a very good mission, extremely tight time window if you don't navigate properly up and down contour lines of elevation or overshoot a target

Hi, I've made this mission in such a way that it can only be played on veteran level. There should be a hint telling that. When the mission begins, it detects difficulty settings and if it is not "Veteran", it terminates. Doesn't even support custom settings. Maybe it could, but I didn't bother implementing. The point is, that if you play with your position shown on the map, then this all mission will make no sense a t all. This is why I forced veteran difficulty. Although there is a way around that if you, say, need the third person view or something. Search the previous comments for answer if you need that. I guess I should add this in the description, because you're already not the first one asking me this.

Yes, please. You can re-do the voice-overs also if you want. I'll pack the editor files later and send you the link by a private message. But you need to add me as afriend here on steam, so I sent you a friend invite.

I hope it's going to be helpful. And, if you're gonna play the first part of postman, postman in Altis, know one thing: It's full of traps. Be prepared for that. There are many locations that are going to just kill you for no reason at all. That's not the case with the second part. And the other scenarios have some of these traps as well, only much less and they're not so annoying. Anyway, the rule of thumb is: if it's too obvious, it's probably a trap. For anything useful you have to either solve a puzzle or defeat an enemy. Keep that in mind when playing these scenarios. Other than that, I hope you enjoy aqnd don't get frustrated if you get killed by the traps. It's intended to be a kind of black humor.

I only care about the weapon, stamina and stance gui fading away. It's annoying not having them but since you did let me know how to "bypass" the veteran difficulty check then I can just change them to however I want after the game loads. I'm learning how to navigate because I want to play your postman scenario as you intended in the first place.

Veteran means "Veteran" in game settings, not "custom" difficulty. If it detects "custom" difficulty, it doesn't know about your maps settings. Maybe there was some clever way to detect map settings, but I didn't bother. Anyway, if you want, say, 3rd person view, then start the mission with "veteran" difficulty and change the settings afterwards, in-game. This is one way to cheat the system. Although if you turn on your position on the map, then it kind of defeats the whole point of this mission.
kenja modo 30 Aug, 2020 @ 11:08pm
Oh, I thought "veteran" as a difficulty referred to AI skills and precision. I did try playing with my map/gui settings a bit but yeah. Thanks.
voveraitis  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 10:21pm
I mean, you should start the mission with the settings already on Veteran level. Because the settings are detected at start.
voveraitis  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 10:20pm
You must play this on veteran level. I think there must have been a hint that tells you that. When the mission starts, it detects difficulty settings. You must set it to Veteran. Because, you see, otherwise it would make no sense. Because your position would be shown on your map and all the exercises would be meaningless.
kenja modo 30 Aug, 2020 @ 4:09pm
The mission would fail exactly 5 seconds after it starts. Any idea why this is happening?
