[WOTC] PGO: Custom Projects & Bridges

I was hoping to use this to make a bridge for ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2981314573 ) MrCloista's Build Random Upgrade, a mod that creates a proving ground project that makes superior mods from TeslaRage's Loot Mod (and a couple others).
Despite the instructions looking really simple, I don't even know where to find some of the names of things in the file, so if anyone is up for lending a hand I'll be very thankful.

I get 2 identical projects showing up in the proving grounds. This happens even when I copy and paste the adv scope example project in discussions. It just seems strange since other people have comments that nothing shows up at all.

Could this be used to make PGO compatible with the Useful Autposy mods?

I don't suppose anyone has tried this with Bio Command? The Bio Beasts mod (part of Command) says it is not compatible with PGO, but Command doesn't say anything of the sort. I'm guessing the incompatibility is still there but have not been able to confirm. I *think* I set it up correctly to work in this mod but it's not the easiest to test right away.

@Hotl3looded Hello, I've been attempting at making a bridge mod for PGO and Modular Sparks. So far, I followed every step through and it works but also doesn't. Let me explain, the tracking and unlock tech works, but the items don't show up in Engineering for individual build. (I am building the mod standalone fyi, so not using the config here but making my own with Modbuddy to publish on workshop after).

I have everything set up correctly (including template names and reward deck names confirmed by mod author), but I can't figure out why the items don't show up in Engineering.

I would enjoy a bridge or something with this mod and "Weapon and Item Overhaul".
it does not work for "Weapon and Item Overhaul".and will have to be bridged or maybe even re-written for it? Im gonna try messing with it myself but no promises.
I have no idea how to do it, I will attempt to make a bridge for it but I am new to all of this.

Something very strange is going on. I'm trying to make repeatable custom projects for all the basic weapon upgrades; but, in game they all show up blank, no picture or text i've put in the localization, and they give me nothing. Researching one shows the beam rifle research animation and there's nothing to build in the engineering bay.

What do?

@Hot|3|looded i'm having problems finding the name of the rewardsdeck from The Hive and The MOCX Iniciative , i've found the tech and pcs templates, but i can't find the rewardsdeck and in the mod pages i didn't got any answer yet, could you give me some pointers?

If they alter existing weapon upgrades, no need to do anything. If they add new weapon upgrades, you can use this mod to add new retrofit projects for the mod added weapon upgrades.

It's a good question... Better Repeater and Revised Weapon Upgrades

from what I can see these two mods change and override the base game attachments, so the retrofit projects -should- already work with them ;)

@Hot|3|looded i was wandering if your retrofit weapon upgrades projects work with mod upgrades like https://steamhost.cn or https://steamhost.cn cause if i understood correctly a bridge wont make it work right?

@Vicious Leper I understand your problem but it has nothing to do with PGO... do you have multiple mods affecting Spark projects? (PGO does not) It might create a conflict if you do.

But I don't see the new PG projects (e.g. build squaddie SPARK) with the new resource costs. It's just the old project with the old cost. Any ideas? It's a new campaign. Pretty sure I've deleted the contents of my config folder.

Hi there,

I am really struggling to figure out how to make this work with Mechatronic Warfare - Total SPARK Overhaul ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1499767042 ). I feel like PGO is probably the thing interfering with it. Am I correct? If so, how can I fix it? I read through the instructions a bunch of times, but I'm really having a hard time.

@Lynry yes and bear in mind that by default all mod-added items ARE compatible. The bridge's only function is to unlock the items once researched but even without a bridge you can get the items through the experimental projects.

Oooh, nice. My biggest issue with the old PGO was how it ended up blocking off content from mods that added new ammo/explosives/heavy weapons/vests. A config framework for user-made patches will go a long way!

@=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil this mod is not required, it is an addition to the main mod that lets you create your own compatibility patch or any custom project. You can do both these things through the main mod but your config settings would be reset everytime I update the main mod.

SO do we need this is we have v2? bcause you've put v2 as required mod, but talked about this being a bridge for v1??
