To those who were having trouble: to add a crystal to your lightsaber you need to have it equipped and have a crystal in your stockpile or close by, then select your pawn with the lightsaber and you will see the "insert crystal" button in the bar at the bottom of the screen. If it does not appear, try unequipping and dropping the light saber and then re-equipping it. Awesome mod, although, as @CAPNxCHAR said, the deflecting does not appear to be working anymore, even without CE, other than that everything works fine, thank you for the hardwork Mile!

I'm getting jobdriver errors when my Jedi goes into combat in my new CE playthrough. There's no deflecting anymore. Is this normal with CE? Here the github [gist.github.com]

What's the best crystal for combat? I find the statistics in the google chart quite confusing and, it seems that the values in game is dissimilar from what has been given in that chart.

I'm already have "Infused Color Crystals for Star Wars Fully-Functional Lightsabers" mod but still don't know how to add crystal in the Saber. I knew now how to providing lightsaber but... Which workshop require to add in crystal?

@Black1Out if you're using Yayo's Combat 3, deactivate their animations because that featureand this mod are incompatible.

My light saber won't activate visually. Like when i go into combat everything else works fine. But the sabers themselves won't show up

Is there a way to turn off or modify bullet deflection?

I know that you didn't make this mod, so there's probably not much you're able/willing to do when it comes to functionality, but in Star Wars canon, lightsabers technically can't deflect non-laser projectiles. Attempting to deflect a metal bullet causes it to become a spray of red-hot metal directed towards the lightsaber-wielder's face, and actually causes much more damage than the bullet would've.
If you can't/won't edit the mod to allow this to be an option, I extend an invitation to any other mod creators who might be interested in making an add-on that adds this functionality (though I don't even know if a laser blaster mod exists already or not...).

Yeah incompatible with Yayo animation. Lightsaber will not show or will be out of place if enabled.

Small update to my own post: if I try to start with saber crystals, my only starting pawn doesn't even spawn. I can't start with any crystals or it either breaks the start or the crystal just doesn't spawn.

I've been trying to start a new game with a lightsaber crystal and every time I try, the crystal itself is nowhere on the map. I've restarted multiple times to no avail. Can anyone help?

Greetings, great mod and thanks for keeping it alive.
Encountered only one thing, i can craft the lightsabers at the fueled/electric smithy and the fabrication bench. The components for the lightsabers only shown at the fabrication bench.
Playing with CE and Techadvancing mod. So being able to craft lightsabers in neolithic/medieval times seems a bit overpowered.
Would it be also possible to lock those lightsabers behind a research similiar to powered melee weapons research? Would do it myself but dont know how if im honest :)

Hello! LOVE this mod! I'm curious though, is there any way to make it compatible with Dual Weild? My Ahsoka Tano character feels lost without both lightsabers ;-) Just curious, thanks for all you do!

Click on the character wielding the saber and you should have an option to insert a crystal that is within your stockpile

I have the same issue Sophia had, my pawns when equiped with a light saber activated always miss, they can't touch their target. Lovely light but quite useless

@The Dophin - I have the same issue. drafting and undrafting fixes it for the most part but after downed it doesn't. Saving and reloading fixes it tough. Annoying but at least it's rare for them to go down.

not sure if anyone else has had this issue, when a pawn gets downed for me while wielding a saber, they now have a permanent glow that just hangs around them and I can't get rid of, not sure it another mod is creating the issue but thought I'd ask

I have the Star wars Force continued Mod, which allows for force, but i haven't seen Lightsaber recipes in that mod. Is this part of it? And if there's lightsaber recipes in that Force mod, please let me know.

@Slamurmum it’s Yayo’s Animations. You have to disable combat animations unfortunately to get the blade and hilt to line up you can leave twirling on though

For some reason the hilt and the blade are not matching up. It doesn't look like the blade is coming out of the hilt. The blade is floating like 1 foot above and 1 foot to the right of the hilt. Anyone else have this issue?

There's no light and saber on mi light saber, when active it is just the hilt an a weak light, but no laser

Hey, Mlie? I'm having a problematic interaction between Fully-Functional Lightsabers and Simple Sidearms, but I'm reasonably sure the problem is easier to solve and more in the wheelhouse of Lightsabers than Simple Sidearms:

If I have a character armed with a lightsaber and various tools, Simple Sidearms wants them to switch to using the tool, which is, you know, a good thing. The problem is that if I want them to switch lightsaber crystals, I can't.

I can draft the pawn and tell them to unload their crystal, which is fine, but if I give them an order to load another crystal, I get a "Blat!" order-rejected sound, and at the top of the screen it tells me "<Pawn> is drafted" as an excuse for not loading a lightsaber crystal.

The best solution would be to modify the loading job to function even when the pawn is drafted; I can see situations where you don't want to undraft a pawn to have them load or swap crystals/motors.

I love this mod. It bugged me that if I wanted to reliably have a better-than-just-a-color lightsaber crystal, I had to go Red like some kind of Sithling.

So I made a mod to fix that. Thanks for keeping this up-to-date, Mile.
