Might I unironically suggest that someone makes a mod that makes it in the early game or in early force levels that purifiers have these puny grenades- maybe even make them a different item? And then in later tiers, it IS the incendiary grenades. That or having it summoned through a dark event?

PSA: This mod does not work. Purifier Grenades are still 4-5 damage
I highly suggest reverting to This previous version and if using other (CX Revamp) Purifier Mods, manually adjusting loadouts in the XComGameData.ini

Purifier Grenade dealt 5 damage explosion + 3 damage burn -> dead soldier...

Hm, a Purifier did 4 damage with an incendiary grenade… Does this not work? It’s a completely normal Purifier! I’m playing with ABA.

might want to find a way make it so the damage penalty is applied to any non-Xcom unit (excluding mind controlled Xcom soldiers because wouldn't make sense for their grenade to suddenly lose damage just because some stupid Sectoid got lucky with their knock-off version of Insanity), for the instances where another modded, non-Purifier enemy may have an incendiary grenade

Hi @HotBlooded or anyone who might be able to help me out here.

Is there any reason why the debuff to the purifiers might not be applying properly? I just got absolutely obliterated by a early game 4 dmg incendiary in an Ironman run lol.

At first I thought it might be a mod conflict, but after disabling everything but this mod, AND regenerating inis, everyone has the 4-5 dmg grenade, including purifiers spawned in debug tactical.
I've no idea what else to do so I'm gonna check game integrity, but doubt that'll do it

How does this not have more attention. As it stands the Incendiary grenades are strictly worse than the regular, this mod is absolutely needed!

@Charlemagne yes, the only change is that I don't create a Purifier Grenade anymore. Instead, when a Purifier holds the XCom incendiary grenade, it will receive a debuff to decrease its damage by 2.

I did this so the fix would work if you use mods that change the loadout of the Purifier.

e.g. Advent Purifier Revamp changes its loadout so it would not work with the old mod but it will with this one.

Just to be 100% clear... I've had your previous mod for a long time. This new mod still has the Advent using a nerfed grenade that does 2 damage right?
