Pax Romana is the period when there weren't any civil wars and Rome experienced it's greatest territorial extent and economic prosperity - a golden age. It doesn't mean there wasn't any fighting. The barbarians were always a threat and Trajan conquered Dacia, Nabatea, and Mesopotamia. Hadrian's Wall was also built due to on-going wars against the Picts.

It just meant the Latins had a cultural peace and internal struggles were decreased, Rome was almost constantly at war with someone, kinda happens when you are conquering the known world.

I like a lot of stuff about this mod but I can't stand the battles. I love historical accuracy but I hate how long the battles are. If you made the battles like shogun 2 this would be the ulitmate mod.

@SuperGorp - thanks but its not working for me. I start out with Polybian Romans and no units are recruitable. I wil wait on the update. I really do like this mod. I love the "marines"

Please give effect to your collection "PAX ROMANA", unlike many others who are too fantasy, your work is realistic and accurate. Rome II can not remain without it. Your supporters will be very grateful if so.

none of your mods work since the latest patch upgrade especially when you click to fight it out on the battlefield on the campaign map the game freezes

Did you remove rank rotation from the Romans? All I have now is the crappy hold the line ability. I can get Rank Rotation from Abel's Realist Legionary Tactics but then I can't use anything to help with the phalanxes

@jdlikins You can use any graphic mod for other factions and any unit mod balanced with vanilla for non-roman factions

I am getting the same shield for all enemy units of a particular variety. Anybody else have this? I just took off some ancillary mods to see if they were causing this.

Hi chaps, I no longer get the experience bonus for roman infantry units. I have a tier 2 temple of mars and should be getting 2 chevron type infantry and not getting any have I missed something or is this an historical thing.

@Akuru Wow man! Thank you so much! This mod is officially has now officially taken over Stainless Steel as my favorite TW mod ever.

The flanking bug is fixed and the battles are at a near perfect speed. Thanks for the fast and good update. Sorry if I was a bit harsh in my first comment.

One more thing I wanted to point out is that no text shows up for the first Manipular Organization tech. Like a big box shows up like a lot of info should be there but I can't see it.

Anyways, thanks again! Now back to flanking the Hades of Syracuse's hoplites and the ETL's spears!

Dude please do something about the ridiculous battle times. The mod is so great, but I HATE playing any battles right now because it just takes forever. I understand the desire for greater strategic play, but when 1 unit of Italian Noble Spearmen is surrounded by 11 units, blood should spew.

I rotated who I charged in, popped abilities, flanked, etc, and I still had to sit there watching nothing but parry after parry. Units that get attacked in the rear can fend off THE ENTIRE UNIT FLANKING THEM with just two men that lock things down because:

a) the super slow kill speed
and b) something with the flanking formation is bugged with your mod, such so that there is no real reward for the strategy that everything is slowed down so much for.

@fabluss If units have no name, is because you use non english version of the game, Just add mod translation from Unit Pack Compatibility project from TWC
@jdlikinsfor recruit artillery you need build workshop and research proper technologies (is same as in vanilla game)
@charliefellsI do not have this problem and all people who tested mod has no similar problem also, but try load game from turn 18-19, and check game files

First of all I love what you have done with this mod, the only problem I have that when I have played 20 turns the game freezes up. I am not running any other mods I have tried playing 3 times now and the game does the same thing, is this a CA problem or a mod problem. Please help because I want to continue playing the mod.

I can only recruit artillery in Cisalpine Gaul. I have both manipular and auxillary buildings. Do I need to Romanize the province more?

Abel, Akuru and I have both been battle testing. I have fought 4 battles using only the 5 PAX project modules and so far the battles seem normal. You are a great modder in your own right Abel, maybe you can help track this down. So far Akuru can't find the problem.

@goinjr, Akuru advised us to turn mods off if using custom battle as the number of units exceeds limits and will result in crash..therefore only use this mod in campaighn...hope this helps you.

hey man is it just me or does anyone else crash when they thry to see what the new units look like, i have crashed a few times just by clicking the custom battles button and i don't have any other mods on besides a couple graphic mods, please help, thank you
