This is the proper "2.0" update.
Modular tank now has new, much better texture as well as new turrets, I fixed many weird problems and simplyfied code in many ways.
Finally, after so long mod is in state I would consider "finished", so yeah, enjoy or sth :)
I might revisit some of my mods next month (after Big Exams™) and finish / implement things I wanted a long time ago (didn't due to burnout and lack of time). Modular Tank is high on that list, I always thought I could do a bit more with it.

About making units, phone and pc versions work same, both in gameplay and creating mods. I recommend looking at game's files ( assets - units ) and just checking out original units. And don't worry, if something is going wrong. My first unit was riding, basic T1 turret with couldn't even shoot, because I mistook the range for the collision area XD
There is also a list of all commands you can use in making units ( I think it was called " Rusted warfare modding reference ". You can find this easily on Google.
( Also every command has short description )
so how much range? 310 minimum is my safest bet. seems nearly all modded experimentals have that range. especially tanks. just a suggestion. also thanks for telling me about the youtuber.
im trying to figure stuff out on my end for making units but he does most stuff on phone it seems so i cant just completely emulate him. thanks again ad im excited to see the new turret.
About making mods - it's pretty easy. There is channel on yt ( General Airon ) about modding. I recommend looking at game files ( assets --> units folder ). Also game itself tells you, with line of code made an error occurred. So you can try modding yourself
as its a turret designed for fighting experimentals it should do a metric crap load of damage like 2-4k per hit but with literally zero AOE and a pretty slow fire rate, like maybe 6s at fastest.
so if u add an ability just make sure it doesnt help it against swarms of small units cause that would be this units only real weakness. (being swarmed)
so maybe an ability to hunker so it can regen hp and provides a large radius laser defense?
i know theres a giant turtle with that ability.
or u could have an ability that lets it swap between shooting ground units and shooting air units?
i just dont know how complicated u can get with it. i wish i could find a source on how to make units myself.
Like electroshock ( to help turret take down shielded units ), mini rockets ( to deal a lil bit more damage and help destroy units with laser defence ).
also since there is a severe lack of turret mods i figured it would help ur mod stick out a lot more.

iv noticed an absolute lack of turret mods. mostly mods that add new turrets plenty of mods revamping vanilla turrets but id like a completely new one.
id really like to see a anti experimental turret. maybe it costs like 20k and takes a long time for a engineer to build? it shoots super slow. like every 8 seconds and only hits one target so its not unbalanced vs normal units? maybe its hp is like 8-10k and range is like 350ish area?
it would sort of like a sniper bunker. i say 350 range cause most experimentals even modded ones seem to have a range of 310. just a suggestion maybe it would be a fun project for u.
if not completely fine. u have been a very responsive guy.
When I will have some free time I will change it
honestly i dont want any stat nerfed i love stinger as is. (fantastic unit u made) but perhaps u can move it into the experimental factory and make it cost possibly 20k? i only say 20k cause if u can build these cheaper than the original fire bee it makes the fire bee kindof pointless. it has better hp sure but the stinger has everything else on it. so maybe just a price hike to 20K maybe 18k? i just like having units that play well with originals. if u dont like these ideas its fine. still awesome unit just way too op for its price.
nearly anything and only some mods that add better anti air can cope with them. if u use only vanilla anti air turrets and units these stingers destroy u hard.
