Could you please make a version that simply uses the HL:S model please? Black Mesa is kind of a mess the mount and downloading a 40 GB game just for one model is a bit too much.

Btw if you are asking why the model says ERROR, its because its a black mesa model and requires it to be mounted

You go to entities, then you go to Fun + Games, then you click long jump module and press e on it

You can spawn this on any map you choose if you enter "give item_longjump" into the console (without the quotes ofc).

Yes, I've included the models and also made them available for client downloading just in case any server owners decide to include this as a filesystem addon.

@Amitie, I could just make you a version which requires HL1 mounted if you want the HL1 model back. Though, I won't manually update any changes I make to this addon in your build.

Hmmm... I Don't like the Black mesa Longjump module model, it destroys The Good Old HL1 In Gmod Thing. After this week, are you going to add the Old HL1 Longjump module back?

Since the only reason HL:S is needed is for the item on the ground, you could use util.IsValidModel to see if it's there or not, and if it's not there you could have a substitute model or something..?

Do you have Half-Life: Source mounted ? If you do and you're still getting a model error, try validating the files of both HL:S and HL1 (which is unlikely to help, but hey, it's worth a try).

Remember that Gmod has to be restarted in order for HL:S files to be recognised after mounting.

I'm pretty sure some of the HL1 weapons use the same name as HL2 weapons, such as weapon_crowbar, weapon_shotgun and some others, so replacing them would be a bad idea.

I'll try working on it next week, though.

Funfact: The PS2 version of Half Life had it so the player had to press the jump button twice to do it, instead of crouching then jumping.
