Is this mod with 3.0.3 obsolet?
Nova 20 May, 2021 @ 6:55am
im an idiot nvm ignore me.
Nova 20 May, 2021 @ 5:28am
it says it's not compatible with 3.0 anymore

Since paradox literaly integrated the features of this mod even with a slider, this mod won't be updated for future versions, I hope you enjoyed having the game balanced a month before the patch.
Feel free to check out my other balance mods, as even them seem to be as well a strong "inspiration" for the devs in new patches.
Cheers! 😚

Compatible for all 3.0.X

Is the Mod Savegame compatible for the "Dick" version? :vaygr:

Not capping growth results in a much bigger economy late game it's true, but the AI gets it too, you just have to adjust crisis slider a bit higher and it should be all good. I could rebalance the whole game arround the "removal" of the growth nerf but this goes well beyond this mod scope, as it would introduce compatibility isues with a ton of other mods and mod collections.

I love this concept. My only qualm is that 3.0 also introduced a lot of mechanics that make individual pops much more productive (incidentally, obsoleting mechanics like trade and pop traits); with the growth penalties removed or reduced, it'd be great to have those new economic boosts removed or reduced as well, or the effect is just a massive increase (like 175%+) to the player economy.

Any thoughts on whether that would make sense?

Thanks for all the feedback! This comments really help me tweak things, glad you had a fun time ^^

I know 3.03 is just in beta but how would you think this functions with it's balance? Great mod.

I just finished a game using the latest version from beginning to end and thought I'd give some feedback (don't worry, it's good!)

Overall pop count at the end of the game (2450, GA Scaling, Medium 4 arm Spiral Galaxy) was 6k, I've never suffered with perf issues, but I did used to get the "happy new year" freeze, and none of that this time.

It felt pretty good. I started to feel the cap towards the end of the game, but I controlled 1/3 of the pops and 1/2 of the space so to be expected

I never felt like I was being held back - I managed to stabilise my economy pretty early (earlier than vanilla actually) - but I can't say whether that's down to the lower pop growth threshold, or the fact I got an insanely good start.

The AI seemed to be happy too, had a few collapses, but as I said, we had 3 superpowers (including me) going into the end, and we were all equal so the AI were keeping up.

TL:DR - Good job, I really enjoyed playing with this mod and will continue using it.

The mod was updated to the 3.0.2 a few hours ago, try reloading your mods on the paradox client. I do not guarantee compatibility with other mods, but as long as the mod doesen't touch the same lines of code on the define file it should be fine.

Btw, can this mod broke Starnet AI mod?
Beast 21 Apr, 2021 @ 5:28pm
Can you fix this error in launcher about bad mod version (its says its for 3.0.1 patch) ? its not big deal but its pretty annoying, and awesome mod, thanks you for it.
SrVain  [author] 21 Apr, 2021 @ 2:54pm
You are absolutely right, this is a fk up on my part, fixing it right now to be "1.4" with all the new changes. I wanted to nerf this feature, halving the bonus it provided, not destroy it. Thanks for the feedback!!
severedsolo 21 Apr, 2021 @ 2:11pm
Unless I'm doing something wrong with my testing, you haven't halved the logistical growth, you've eliminated it entirely. The default setting of 2.0 doubles the growth (so from 3.0 to 6.0 in ideal conditions), setting it to 1.0 means the planets growth will just stay at 3 until it hits the high pop mark, was that intentional?
Mogz Wyrd 20 Apr, 2021 @ 2:43pm
Indeed, I was looking for these data :+1:
SrVain  [author] 20 Apr, 2021 @ 2:29pm
Full explanation in the version note changes of the mod, but TLDR; Organic Ascension Empires could outpace too easily this mechanic and have even more growth than the early game at late.
The changes are undergoing testing still, so It might be tuned down again to 0.09 or 0.08, it remains to be seen. It won't go over the current 0.1 under any conditions so don't worry.
Hope to have solved any doubts ^^
Mogz Wyrd 20 Apr, 2021 @ 2:07pm
Pop grow penalty isn't reduced by 10, but only by 5, as in your mod, you changed the values from 0.5 to 0.1, and not 0.05 as claimed on the screenshot.

Any reasons ?
MegaPoggy 20 Apr, 2021 @ 12:42pm
yes. altering defines in any way will disable achievements,
it_power 20 Apr, 2021 @ 8:58am
does this mod disable steam achievements?
SrVain  [author] 20 Apr, 2021 @ 3:10am
I'd love to hear your feedback ☺️
Dr. Crabnipples 19 Apr, 2021 @ 9:08pm
Excited to try it out! I hope 10x isnt too much of a decrease.
SrVain  [author] 19 Apr, 2021 @ 3:05pm
The mechanics are still there, but for example at 1.000 pops empire wide with the old system (vanila) a planet with 3.5 pop growth took 14.2 years to grow a pop. With the new system (Mod) with a growth of 3.5 as well it will take 3.6 years to grow a pop. The growth bonuses from having a high planetary capacity have been halved to balance, so you won't see as much absurd growths on size 25 planets. To be completely honest I was really tempted to nuke the bonus to pop growth that planetary capacity has, but I wanted to play with 3.0, even if the mechanics don't seem to make sense. I hope to have solved your doubts!
DAIKEONG 19 Apr, 2021 @ 2:19pm
Thank you! Just liked it. Curious how you balanced these two? Ideally I would still want to have lower overall pop growth than in 2.8.

JenkoRun 19 Apr, 2021 @ 11:26am
Finally one that doesn't nuke it, cheers
