It's great and very playable! Thanks Boicote for this awesome sequel to ALX. Just a little error come up after closing game: "Illyria was assigned resource grain: only hidden resource shoul be put there". Other than this very stable and great mod!

any update coming? really cool mod. Regarding the "Future Projects" ideas. I suggest contacting Feral Support and requesting the changes. They are very responsive and are working on another patch I think.

"Script error in Q:\Feral\Steam\Workshop\2508489613\data\descr_cultures.txt, at line 8, column 1. DATABASE_TABLE error found : error reading record from file". This happens everytime I start the game with the mod activated, so I haven't been able to play. Is there a fix for that?

Hello. I'm Euro-Centric Military historian. I'm primarily a modder for Rome 2 and TW:Atilla.

I own the TW: Rome Remastered but have not played much of this game since it was a bit slow to load and flawed in the context of its modding parameters. However, as soon as I saw your mod (this mod) on the workshop it instantly made me want to download RTWR, I really want to play this mod, it looks really, really good.

Will post a review of the campaign once I've played.

Tried the battle again after removing all my Cretan archers, and I can confirm that they are the issue.

I am also having the missing greek_archer_etc etc crash, this time when I go to fight Seleucus on turn 2 as Antigonos. My army has Cretan archers - are they the issue? Otherwise, his army has Persian Cavalry Archers and Persian Skirmishers as the only missile units.

Feral has just released a new patch. It will take a while to update the mod, so please be patient.
It seems that now is finally possible to set factions as emergent faction. Hmm....

Hello, my campaign crashes everytime I try to manually fight a battle where my enemy has cretan archers.
Error: Filename doesnt exist:
data/characters/greek_archer_Mediterranean_no_variatonbar b_cavalry_merc_Iod0.cas

Any fixes?

I intend to release some updates in the future. The update I'm working right know probably is not going to be "save game" compatible, so, I'm going to wait a little bit to give you time to finish your current campaigns.
In what concerns to factions, I chose these six factions because they were major players in the last decade of the 4th century BC. The mod is focused on the events preceding the battle of Ipsus and these were the faction involved. Also, there are some technical limitations in Alexander campaign that doesn't allow me to mod more than five faction icons. It would be...unprofessional...to release a playable faction sharing the "rebel" symbol with other factions.

Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do about that. It particularly annoys me the Lysimachus refuses to attack the Antigonid Kingdom despite having a military advantage in the beginning of the campaign. Let’s hope that Feral Interactive releases new updates with better AI.

The stats of the Persian cavalry are exactly the same as in vanilla. However, I also noticed that this unit is very powerful and provably I will make small adjustments in a future patch.

That's...weird. This is a very unspecific "symptom". Maybe it will help if you verify the integrity of the game files

I don't speak Russian, so I simply made "copy & paste" of the English files that I modded into the Russian files. That's why I recommend to play the game in English. If you chose a different language, some of the text will be in English and some will not.

I tried this mod and one thing bothers me at least in my first playthrought is passive AI... thay did no dare to do anything... Otherwise i relly liked it nice mod nice idea and nice implementation... well done :)

Good fun mod, thanks so much. I love that many new regions have been added to the vanilla alexander map, and there are so many factions. As a result, the campaign map is pretty dense, and there is pure AI full stack spam, which is great fun. Would love to see a few more units added to faction rosters in future. BTW seems to work fine on Russian versian of game, unlike most other mods which just crash the game, but some things are not translated and appear in english, not a problem for me.

Persian Cav OP please nerf. But for real they can out shoot Cretan archers and will slaughter every other Calvary unit with ease.

(cont) Egypt can recruit light Egyptian units from the Imperial campaign (peasants, archers, skirmishers, slingers...) and elite Greek units such as the Royal Pikemen; the Ptolemaic cavalry is based on the Allied cavalry from Alexander campaign; and the Egyptian cavalry is the only unit that I created from scratch (the model is similar to the Egyptian Infantry and the stats are similar to the original Nubian Cavalry). The Mauryan roster is "copy&paste" from India in Alexander campaign.

The rosters are based on units from Alexander campaign and Imperial campaign. I didn't change the stats because I assume those parameters are balanced. The roster of the Antigonid Kingdom is almost identical to Alexander's Macedon (I just made a reskin). Macedon and Thrace rosters include some Alexander units mixed with Imperial campaign units. Almost all units from the Seleucids were imported from the Imperial campaign (I also gave them access to Persian Cavalry because historically the horse archers that Seleucus recruited from his satraps were decisive in the battle of Ipsos). …

In theory, it's possible to create new maps (look ate Mundus Magnus). However, in this Resmastered things a little bit more complicated. Creating new maps requires skills that I don't have yet.
In what concerns to Epirus, you can play as them by modding the "desc_stat.txt" file. A quick search on Google will teach you how to do it. However, the faction icon is not the right one because there is a limited number of icons that we can change in Alexander campaign.

Great work. Looks awesome! Is it only possible to use current maps for campaigns? Might be cool to have a custom map that includes Magna Graecia. Also would be cool to have a playable Epirus.

Bactria became independent around 250 BC, 52 years after the start of the campaign.
I still have one unused faction to mod (romans_julii) and I wanted to use it to create the Roman Republic if there's a possibility to add emergent factions after the release of a future patch. If that is not possible, I could use it to create Bactria and then make it a vassal of the Seleucids. Alternatively, I may consider the possibility to create a rebel sub-faction to represent Bactria that would emerge after a rebellion.

This is still work in progress. I wanted to add better diplomats to Thrace (when Lysimachus allied with Kassandros, they convinced Seleucos to join the coalition against Antigonos and surely that would require diplomatic skills); and better assassins to Macedon (because Kassandros murdered the son of Alexander the Great). However, both agents are not functional in this campaign. I’m considering the possibility to give diplomatic bonus to Thrace, i.e, the other factions will look positively to Thrace (except the barbarians nearby and the Antigonid Kingdom). But this requires more testing.
