So that's a lot of steps to get it to work on a server, do I need to do all that to make it work on single player?

@everyone using this mod, i'm discontinuing the backend services, since i cannot afford to pay about 90$/month for the server infrastructure while getting an overal sum of donations of about 0.40$/month over the last 4 years. This is not a begging for any further donations or so, just an observation and decision of mine on the basis of past data. This includes the API and website.

I dont have a Problem if someone want to make money about this. Takes a lot of work and need to pay the backend aswell. But i want to know: "Standalone, free and paid mod Features".... i saw only paid features?

looks like its a paid service and while i understand why its a paid service only person thats gonna be making money off my server cluster is me lol so ill skip this mod bummer was strongly considered

you users will need an account on the web platform, register with their steam id and they need the map url from you (as the owner). That's it, that will suffice so that the system can determin which ships belong to your users/teams.

how would this work for other people on the server i mean theres gonna be multiple ships from multiple company's how does it tell the difference?

Getting at least break even was the goal with the paid api stuff, but that's not the case. Currently more like 15:1 (costs:earnings)

@all, if you guys did configure custom settings on the website, then you'll need to reapply those settings again... the refactoring of the settings system did require a custom settings reset.

But i'm quite confident that GrapeShot will fix it soon, since the vanilla Autopilot does the same stupid inverse direction wiggling.

Hmm, seems to be a bigger issue. Even if i invert the desired auto pilot direction, it starts to wiggle somewhat into the right direction, but all sails are rotated inversly... Don't know if i get this issue solved or if we have to wait for GrapeShot to fix it.

But if grapeshot did botch that with the last patch, i'm glad that the autopilot does even continue to work... inverting the direction should be solvable, so that it goes again into the desired direction.

i must be doing something wrong. i click to set way point for my ship and i have a crew on both wheel and sail. but he keep turning it away from the way he suppose to go.?. am i doing it wrong or did atlas mess something up with last update?

While it's unrelated to ship piloting, would it be possible to display tamed creatures on the site map as well, like if you have some go overboard at sea?

But you can also just post them the link with your cluster ID at the end and they will be able to see the map in read only mode.

Your players need to do that themself, by creating an account on the web platform and assigning their steam account to it. Then after max. 10 minutes, the system will identify them as guest on the cluster and they will have the cluster in their own Dashboard with a Guest Badge.

how can my server users to my server to there web api to access the map?. I know they can access the map page directly. but that requires them to go to the entire UUID of the map. I noticed that the server has an owner mark on it. How can i add a user to to that grid as a member/user?

add the ModID in the provided web interface and add the API Key to your Gus.ini ... that should be possible on g-portal

1x1 Grid/Ocean map should work with the upcomming update.. Blackwood will need more time, since the map is a special case (size, positions, islands and such)
