Important notice: 2023-03-18
@everyone using this mod, i'm discontinuing the backend services, since i cannot afford to pay about 90$/month for the server infrastructure while getting an overal sum of donations of about 0.40$/month over the last 4 years. This is not a begging for any further donations or so, just an observation and decision of mine on the basis of past data. This includes the API and website.

What is this mod?
Sick of only being able to control one ship in ATLAS at a time? Manage your ATLAS fleet remotely with the ATLAS Commander game modification. You can also control your ships without even needing to log into the game. For example at work, if for example you just want to check your fleets status. Or if you want to plan for a fight after work. Endless possibilies!

Help for admins, getting startet via Tutorial

Installation instructions
  • subscribe to the mod
  • open your ServerGridEditor or similar tool and add the ModID, clicking Project -> Edit -> and there edit the Mod Ids input field
  • finalize your ServerGrid in the editor and export the ServerGrid.json, ServerGrid.ServerOnly.json and map images
  • copy the exported stuff to your servers\' ShooterGame directory
  • start the server grid once with great tools like the ATLAS Server Control[www.guilded.gg] from SparcMX
  • when the server was started once, it did create a bunch of subfolders for all your girds in the ../ATLASServer/server/ShooterGame/Saved directory
  • you can now shutdown your server again
  • visit the ATLAS Commander[atlas-commander.com] website and create an account
  • as soon as you did create an account, you will be redirected to your dashboard. On the dashboard click on create cluster and it will open a prompt with your API Key
  • either manually copy this API Key block with the tag [ATLAS_Commander], or use the clipboard icon to put it into your PCs clipboard automatically
  • now go into each created subfolder of your grids, inside the Saved main folder of your server, and navigate to each config/WindowsServer/GameUserSettings.ini file and paste your copied API Key at the bottom of those files. It is important that you add the API Key to all of your grids GameUserSettings.ini config files. (this only needs to be done once and from there on you can manage the mod entirely from the website - without needing to reboot your cluster)
  • final step is to simply start your ATLAS cluster again, and it will start to communicate with the web api
  • to improve the 2D map on the website, you can upload your ServerGrid.json on the Dashboard. This will load the correct islands on the map, improving your experience with the mod further. (you might want to wait until your ATLAS cluster did at least send the initial data package)

So that's a lot of steps to get it to work on a server, do I need to do all that to make it work on single player?

I dont have a Problem if someone want to make money about this. Takes a lot of work and need to pay the backend aswell. But i want to know: "Standalone, free and paid mod Features".... i saw only paid features?

looks like its a paid service and while i understand why its a paid service only person thats gonna be making money off my server cluster is me lol so ill skip this mod bummer was strongly considered

you users will need an account on the web platform, register with their steam id and they need the map url from you (as the owner). That's it, that will suffice so that the system can determin which ships belong to your users/teams.

how would this work for other people on the server i mean theres gonna be multiple ships from multiple company's how does it tell the difference?
