Thanks Guns that solved it for me, just had to keep the top white part at the back of the grip level with the ground and it worked.

Just re looked and the point out the back is actully a drawn white over black so it really does not "stick out" the grip, posted illustration in guide for it.

To correct what I said below, the ground should be just BELOW the point sticking out the back of the grip... the point should be a little above ground... very small window of working properly between too high and too low, normall when I place one now I just move it up a hair and they seem to work pretty well, but I check them all just in case.

The default placement for the KFRandomItemSpawn is a little low... make sure you use the correct actor .. *XPickupBase - *KFRandomSpawn - *KFRandomItemSpawn then place it. Check the placement by... the item shows on the map as a gun, there is a dot on the gun grip and a pointy bit sticking out back on the grip.. line the ground up so the ground cuts the dot in half and is a hair above the point sticking out back of the grip. Many times the default placement is too low, and serious problems happen when placing on rocks and such. If need be you can place them a little high and ignore the build error. All gun placements need to be checked, I just play the maps on beginner until I am sure they are all working.

Hi Guns, any idea how to make the KFRandomItemSpawn actually spawn weapons? I leave them at their default values and make sure they don't throw up an error about being too high off the ground yet still they don't spawn anything even on beginner difficulty.

It starts slow and you get a wave bonus and trader to upgrade weapons.. the wave bonus on some waves is cut... but the FPs are worth a lot.. sounds like the money balance is just right though.

@slaughter house you must be new when you hit level 5 you spawn in with a weapon and at lvl6 you spawn in with a top teir weapon from your class

Played Sharp Shooter all the time. Played the waves with crossbows, saved money. Finally bought M99 and pipes to kill the patriarch.

Screenshots for HOE if that is what you mean, the map can be played on any difficulty though.

Yes it works multplayer and I have seen it on some servers already. FG forgotten warriors had them on when I played there yesterday... check map lists during voting.

I don't know... I played them on Forgotten Gamers servers today and they worked fine. So I'm pretty sure the maps themsleves are fine... I'm not sure how servers handle the files though.

By using the KFO game type I can set the "zeds at one time" limit and each wave has its own wave design elements so it's customizable depending on the map needs and by default scales itself for player count and difficulty, for total number of zeds and their health. Moonbase for example has a limit of 10 FPs at one time, instead of 4. But with low gravity it's just too easy, still fun, but I am going to try the same kind of thing there with Husks and Sirens... the adjustments in the KFO actors make it pretty easy for the change up. Once I do a few more and am sure of the settings I will make a KFO build guide to post to workshop. A modular approach that anyone with a little SDK experience should be able to follow easily and be able to create their own custom game type with perk progression. Oh I see. Sorry again, it's all good. I'm not sure what you can do with sandbox, and there is a poundamonium mutator but it still works on the map default 32 zed thing I think. I figured the limit one person could realistically deal with at one time was 4 FPs so that is the map limit. In theory anyway, what the Pat spawns is not included in that count limit of 4.

I talk about basick mutators (only clots waves, oly sirens, only fp, ...), and you can do custom waves if you want in setiing (9999999999999999999 fp or something cool (but so many fp not work)), too bad developers delete many cool mutators from ut2k4 :rshocked: If you know kf its game based on unreal tournament 2004 invansion. I don't know in your country offensive word lol, but I just wanted to know what is the difference of your map from fp mutator and custom setting. ) Did not want to offend, but to delete the comment is insulting. aleks its my steam friend, sorry then for he kidding )))

If this was set up as a mutator you would not get perk progress... as a map that has rules built into it, people can progress thier perks normally... I guess that is the main advantage I can see in having this kind of map not be a mutator... but to each their own I guess. Cheers

not sure I understand your comment? I thought you were saying you could make it a mutator, I have no idea how to do anything like that ... I deleted a comment I thought it had no bearing on what I was doing. Please explain in a way I can understand what you want me to do/think/feel about your mutator comment... is that scripting? do you think I am just scripting stuff? What is scripting? is that what you mean when you talk about the KFO actors? I just don't understand what you are saying, sorry if I offended you in anyway, Im kind of clueless really.

HoE Zerk using claymore, saved money for pipebombs, put them all on the corner side of the bus, next to where i was in the screenshot, killed the FPs first, hit him back and forth with claymore and made him use his first syringe, then made the patriarch step on the pipes, hit him a few times with the claymore back and forth, he pushed me away. he had just a little health so I started shooting like crazy with my pistol and got him running away. gg :)

Whoever can post a winning screenshot with the status board on HOE first I will put in the top of the description as "First to Master" the map... for Solo and Group... I'll do this for all the FP Challenge maps so far excluding Moonbase... that's just not much of a challenge.

Torch - sub is the easiest way. If that won't work copy/paste dropbox link in any browser and it will give you the download ... you don't need dropbox yourself at all. Click download and the map file will be placed in the web browser download location.
The map file will need to be put / copied in the : Steam - Steamapps - Common - KillingFloor - Maps folder. That's it, when the game starts the map will be in the map list... maike sure you are in Objective mode as this is an Objective map style to make it.
